Concerning Titos and his companions

This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.

Readers’ Version

Literal Version

8:16 Concerning Titos and his companions

16But may God be thanked for putting the same earnestness for you all into Titos’ mind 17because indeed he accepted our appeal, but being so earnest he volunteered to visit you all. 18And we sent another brother along with him, who is praised by all the assemblies for his good message, 19and not only that, he was also chosen by the assemblies as our travelling companion as we bring this gift as our service for the master’s honour and for our readiness. 20We want to avoid the possibility of being criticised in our excitement in serving this way, 21[ref]because we are providing good, not only towards the master, but also for people.

22We also sent with them another brother who we approved of in many ways—often being diligent, but now much more diligent because of his high confidence in you all. 23Concerning Titos, he is my partner and your fellow-worker, and the accompanying brothers are ambassadors of the assemblies which are Messiah’s splendour, 24so show them signs of your love and fulfil what we boasted about you all in the various assemblies.

8:21: Prv 3:4 (LXX).

16But thankfulness be to_ the _god, the one giving the same earnestness for you_all in the heart of_Titos.
17Because our indeed appeal he_received, but more_earnest being voluntary, he_came_out to you_all.
18And we_sent_with with him the brother, of_whose the praise is in the good_message through all of_the assemblies, 19not and only this, but also having_been_chosen by the assemblies are_travelling_companion of_us, with the grace this which being_served by us, because/for the of_the master glory, and the_readiness of_us, 20avoiding this, lest anyone us may_blemish, in the exuberance this which being_served by us, 21for/because we_are_providing good, not only before the_master, but also before people.
22And we_sent_with with_them the brother of_us, whom we_approved in many things, often earnest being, but now much more_earnestly by_^his_confidence much which toward you_all.
23Whether concerning Titos, he_is_partner my and for you_all a_fellow-worker, or the_brothers of_us, ambassadors of_the_assemblies the_glory of_chosen_one/messiah.
24Therefore the sign of_the love of_you_all, and of_us boasting about you_all, to them displaying in face of_the assemblies.
