18 And_mustered Dāvid DOM the_men which with_him/it and_he/it _assigned over_them commanders of _thousands and_commanders of _hundreds.
2 And_sent _out Dāvid DOM the_troops the_a _third in/on/at/with_command of _Joab and_the_a _third in/on/at/with_command of _Abishai the _son of _Zeruiah the _brother of _Joab and_the_one _third in/on/at/with_command of _Ittai the_Gittite and_he/it _said the_king to the_troops certainly _(go _out) I _will _go _out also I with_you _all.
3 And_he/it _said the_men not you _must _go _out DOM if actually _(flee) we _will _flee not they _will _set about_us heart and_if they _will _die half_us not they _will _set about_us heart DOM now of_us ten thousand(s) and_now [is]_good (cmp) you _will _be to/for_ourselves from_city to_help[fn].

15 And_surrounded ten young _men the _bearers of _the _armor(s) of _Joab and_struck DOM Absalom and_killed_him.
16 And_blew Joab in/on/at/with_trumpet and_returned the_troops from_pursuing after Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) DOM he _restrained Joab DOM the_troops.
