20 and_there he_was_met a_man of_worthlessness and_his/its_name [was]_Sheba the_son of_Bicri a_man a_Jaminite and_blew in/on/at/with_trumpet and_he/it_said there_[is]_not to/for_us a_portion in/on/at/with_Dāvid and_not an_inheritance to/for_us in/on/at/with_son of_Yishay everyone to_tents_his Oh_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel).
2 And_he/it_ascended every (the)_man of_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) from_after Dāvid after Sheba the_son of_Bicri and_men of_Yəhūdāh they_clung in/on/at/with_king_their from the_Yarəddēn and_unto Yərūshālayim.
3 And_came Dāvid to house_his Yərūshālayim and_he/it_took the_king DOM [the]_ten women concubines whom he_had_left to_guard/protect the_house and_put_in_them a_house of_confinement and_provided_them and_to_them not he_went and_were locked_up until the_day death_their widowhood of_living.
4 and_he/it_said the_king to Amasa summon to_me DOM the_man of_Yəhūdāh three days and_you(ms) here stand.
5 And_he/it_went Amasa to_summon DOM Yəhūdāh and_delayed[fn] from the_set_time which appointed_him.
6 and_he/it_said Dāvid to Abishai now he_will_be_bad to/for_us Sheba the_son of_Bicri more_than Absalom you take DOM the_servants master’s_your and_pursue after_him lest he_has_found to_him/it cities fortified and_escape sight_us.
7 And_they_went_out after_him the_men of_Joab and_the_Cherethites and_the_Pelethites and_all the_powerful/mighty(pl) and_they_went_out from_Yərūshālayim to_pursue after Sheba the_son of_Bicri.
8 They [were]_near the_stone the_great which in/on/at/with_Gibeon and_Amasa he_came to_meet_them and_Joab [was]_girded garment_his clothing_of_him and_over_it[fn] a_belt of_a_sword [was]_fastened on waist_his in/on/at/with_sheath_its and_he he_went_forward and_fell_out.
9 and_he/it_said Joab to_Amasa well [are]_you my_brother/kindred and_took the_hand of_the_right_side of_Joab in/on/at/with_beard of_Amasa to_kiss to_him/it.
10 And_Amasa not he_took_heed in/on/at/with_sword which in/on/at/with_hand of_Joab and_struck_him in/on/at/with_it into the_belly and_poured_out entrails_his towards_land and_not he_repeated to_him/it and_he/it_died and_Joab and_Abishai his/its_woman he_pursued after Sheba the_son of_Bicri.
11 And_one he_stood on/upon/above_him/it of_young_men of_Joab and_he/it_said who [is_the_one]_who he_delights in/on/at/with_Joab and_who [is_the_one]_who for_Dāvid after Joab.
12 And_Amasa [was]_rolling in/on/at/with_blood in_the_middle the_highway[fn] and_he/it_saw the_man DOM_that it_stopped all the_people and_carried DOM Amasa from the_highway the_field and_threw on/upon/above_him/it a_garment just_as he_saw every the_came on/upon/above_him/it and_stopped.
13 Just_as he_had_removed_[him] from the_highway he_passed_on every person after Joab to_pursue after Sheba the_son of_Bicri.
14 And_passed in_all the_tribes of_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) Heⱱel/(Abel)_to and wwww and_all the_Berites and[fn] and_they_came also after_him.
15 And_they_came and_besieged on/upon/above_him/it in/on/at/with house_of wwww and_threw_up a_mound against the_city and_stood in/on/at/with_rampart and_all the_troops which [was]_with Joab [were]_about_to_destroy to_break_down the_wall.
16 And_she/it_called/named a_woman wise from the_city listen listen say please to Joab draw_near to here and_speak to_you.
17 And_came_near to_her/it and_she/it_said the_woman you Joab and_he/it_said I_[am] and_she/it_said to_him/it listen_to the_words your(ms)_female_slave and_he/it_said [am]_listening I.
18 And_she/it_said to_say surely_(speak) they_spoke in/on/at/with_former_times to_say really_(ask) they_will_ask in/on/at/with_Heⱱel/(Abel) and_thus/so/as_follows they_ceased.
19 I [am]_the_peaceful_[ones] of_the_faithful_[ones] of_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) you [are]_seeking to_destroy a_city and_mother in/on/at/with_Yisərā^ʼēl/(Israel) to/for_what will_you_swallow_up the_inheritance of_Yahweh.
20 and_answered Joab and_said far_be_it ` to_me if I_will_swallow_up and_if I_will_destroy.
21 [is]_not so the_case DOM a_man from_hill of_ʼEfərayim [who_is]_Sheba the_son of_Bicri his/its_name he_has_lifted_up his/its_hand in/on/at/with_king in/on/at/with_Dāvid give DOM_him/it for_him/it_being_alone and_withdraw from_under the_city and_she/it_said the_woman to Joab here his/its_head [is]_about_to_be_thrown to_you behind the_wall.
22 And_went the_woman to all the_people in/on/at/with_wise_her and_cut_off DOM the_head of_Sheba the_son of_Bicri and_threw to Joab and_blew in/on/at/with_trumpet and_dispersed from_under the_city each to_tent_his and_Joab he_returned Yərūshālayim to the_king.
