30 So then, what should we say? That non-Jews who weren’t godly reached out by faith to achieve righteousness, 31 but Jews who chased after righteousness by obeying The Law didn’t achieve it? 32 How come? Because they tried to reach it by actions and not by faith. They tripped over the stumbling stone, 33 as it’s written:[ref]

‘Look, I’m laying down a stumbling stone in Tsiyyon/Zion,

a rock that causes offence.

Anyone who believes in him

won’t be disgraced.’

10 Brothers and sisters, my heart would be very pleased indeed if Israelis would get rescued, and that’s what I request from God. 2 I keep telling them that they’re very zealous for God, yet they lack know-how. 3 Because they didn’t know what God’s righteousness is, and they tried to establish their own system, they weren’t covered by his righteousness. 4 The fulfilment of The Law is Messiah, leading to righteousness for everyone who believes.
