EDUTH*

Hebrew word usually translated “testimony,” “witness,” or “commandment.” It is used with reference to the tabernacle (Nm 17:7-8; 18:2; 2 Chr 24:6), the ark (Ex 25:16), the Ten Commandments (Ex 31:18), and the law of God in general (Ps 19:8). The transliterated form appears only in the title of Psalm 60 in the Hebrew phrase Shushan Eduth. The phrase means “Lily of Testimony.”
