1 וַֽיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta
אַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּ֥ךְ דָּוִ֛יד [3] Tevir
אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וַיַּכְנִיעֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקַּ֛ח [3] Tevir
אֶת־גַּ֥ת וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
מִיַּ֥ד פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 1 After this, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines. [3]

עֲבָדִ֣ים לְדָוִ֔יד [2] Zaqef

1 2 2 3 2 2 He defeated Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute. [2]

אֶת־הֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־צוֹבָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha

בִּֽנְהַר־פְּרָֽת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 David defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates. [3]
4 וַיִּלְכֹּד֩ דָּוִ֨יד מִמֶּ֜נּוּ [4] Geresh
אֶ֣לֶף רֶ֗כֶב [3] Revi'i
 
וְשִׁבְעַ֤ת אֲלָפִים֙ [3] Pashta
פָּרָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף [2] Tip'cha
אִ֣ישׁ רַגְלִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְעַקֵּ֤ר דָּוִיד֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־כׇּל־הָרֶ֔כֶב [2] Zaqef
 
וַיּוֹתֵ֥ר מִמֶּ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha
מֵ֥אָה רָֽכֶב׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 4 David took from him one thousand chariots, seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them enough for one hundred chariots. [4]

1 2 3 2 2 2 3 2 5 When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck twenty-two thousand men of the Syrians. [3]
6 וַיָּ֤שֶׂם דָּוִיד֙ [3] Pashta
בַּאֲרַ֣ם דַּרְמֶ֔שֶׂק [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְהִ֤י אֲרָם֙ [3] Pashta
לְדָוִ֔יד [2] Zaqef
 
עֲבָדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נֹשְׂאֵ֣י מִנְחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּ֤וֹשַׁע יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta

בְּכֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 2 3 2 6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went. [3]

1 2 3 3 2 2 2 7 David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem. [3]

לָקַ֥ח דָּוִ֛יד [3] Tevir

עָשָׂ֣ה שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה [3] Revi'i

וְאֶת־הָֽעַמּוּדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef

כְּלֵ֥י הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ [1] Silluq

10 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח אֶת־הֲדֽוֹרָם־בְּנ֣וֹ אֶל־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־דָּ֠וִ֠יד [4 4] TelishaG

מִלְחֲמ֥וֹת תֹּ֖עוּ [2] Tip'cha

זָהָ֥ב וָכֶ֖סֶף [2] Tip'cha
וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ [1] Silluq

מִכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
מֵאֱד֤וֹם וּמִמּוֹאָב֙ [3] Pashta
וּמִבְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וּמֵעֲמָלֵֽק׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 4 2 3 2 2 3 2 11 King David also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, from Moab, from the children of Ammon, from the Philistines, and from Amalek. [3]

הִכָּ֤ה אֶת־אֱדוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
בְּגֵ֣יא הַמֶּ֔לַח [2] Zaqef
 
שְׁמוֹנָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אָֽלֶף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck eighteen thousand of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt. [3]
13 וַיָּ֤שֶׂם בֶּאֱדוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
נְצִיבִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּהְי֥וּ כׇל־אֱד֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
עֲבָדִ֣ים לְדָוִ֑יד [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּ֤וֹשַׁע יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־דָּוִ֔יד [2] Zaqef
 
בְּכֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 13 He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went. ¶ [3]
14 וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ דָּוִ֖יד [2] Tip'cha
עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i
עֹשֶׂ֛ה [3] Tevir
מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְכׇל־עַמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 14 David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness for all his people. [2]

וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן־אֲחִיל֖וּד [2] Tip'cha

1 2 2 15 Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; [2]
16 וְצָד֧וֹק בֶּן־אֲחִיט֛וּב [3] Tevir
וַאֲבִימֶ֥לֶךְ בֶּן־אֶבְיָתָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
כֹּהֲנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְשַׁוְשָׁ֖א [2] Tip'cha
סוֹפֵֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 16 Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; Shavsha was scribe; [3]

וּבְנֵי־דָוִ֥יד הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לְיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 17 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief officials serving the king. ¶ [3 3]
