1 וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בְּנ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
תַּחְתָּ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק [2] Tip'cha
עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 1 Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place, and strengthened himself against Israel. [3]
2 וַיִּ֨תֶּן־חַ֔יִל [2] Zaqef
בְּכׇל־עָרֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הַבְּצֻר֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתֵּ֤ן נְצִיבִים֙ [3] Pashta
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְעָרֵ֣י אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָכַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
אָסָ֥א אָבִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 2 2 2 He placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken. [2]
3 וַיְהִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עִם־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י הָלַ֗ךְ [3] Revi'i
 
בְּדַרְכֵ֞י [4] Gershayim
דָּוִ֤יד אָבִיו֙ [3] Pashta
הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א דָרַ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
לַבְּעָלִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 4 2 3 The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and didn’t seek the Baals, [2]

וּבְמִצְוֺתָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha

כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 2 4 but sought the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not in the ways of Israel. [4]
5 וַיָּ֨כֶן יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָה֙ [3] Pashta
בְּיָד֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּתְּנ֧וּ כׇל־יְהוּדָ֛ה [3] Tevir
מִנְחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לִיהֽוֹשָׁפָ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְהִי־ל֥וֹ עֹשֶׁר־וְכָב֖וֹד [2] Tip'cha
לָרֹֽב׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand. All Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance. [3]
6 וַיִּגְבַּ֥הּ לִבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּדַרְכֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְע֗וֹד [3] Revi'i
הֵסִ֛יר [3] Tevir
אֶת־הַבָּמ֥וֹת וְאֶת־הָאֲשֵׁרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
מִיהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 3 3 6 His heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD. Furthermore, he took away the high places and the Asherah poles out of Judah. [2]
7 וּבִשְׁנַ֨ת שָׁל֜וֹשׁ [4] Geresh

שָׁלַ֤ח לְשָׂרָיו֙ [3] Pashta
לְבֶן־חַ֙יִל֙ [3 3] Pashta
וּלְעֹבַדְיָ֣ה וְלִזְכַרְיָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלִנְתַנְאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וּלְמִיכָיָ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta
 
לְלַמֵּ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
בְּעָרֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 3 2 2 7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben Hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah; [4]
8 וְעִמָּהֶ֣ם הַלְוִיִּ֗ם [3] Revi'i

וּנְתַנְיָ֡הוּ [4] Pazer
וּזְבַדְיָ֡הוּ [4] Pazer
וַעֲשָׂהאֵ֡ל [4] Pazer
*ושמרימות **וּשְׁמִירָמ֡וֹת [4] Pazer
וִיהוֹנָתָן֩ וַאֲדֹ֨נִיָּ֧הוּ וְטוֹבִיָּ֛הוּ [3] Tevir
 
וְט֥וֹב אֲדוֹנִיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
 
הַלְוִיִּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְעִמָּהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
אֱלִישָׁמָ֥ע וִיהוֹרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 4 4 4 4 4 2 3 8 and with them the Levites, even Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests. [3]

בְּכׇל־עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽיְלַמְּד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בָּעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 2 9 They taught in Judah, having the book of the LORD’s law with them. They went about throughout all the cities of Judah and taught among the people. [3]
10 וַיְהִ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh

עַ֚ל [3] Yetiv
כׇּל־מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאֲרָצ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
סְבִיב֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א נִלְחֲמ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
עִם־יְהוֹשָׁפָֽט׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 10 The fear of the LORD fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat. [4]

12 וַיְהִ֧י יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט [3] Tevir
הֹלֵ֥ךְ וְגָדֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
עַד־לְמָ֑עְלָה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּ֧בֶן בִּיהוּדָ֛ה [3] Tevir
בִּירָנִיּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
וְעָרֵ֥י מִסְכְּנֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 12 Jehoshaphat grew great exceedingly; and he built fortresses and store cities in Judah. [3]
13 וּמְלָאכָ֥ה רַבָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
הָ֥יָה ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַנְשֵׁ֧י מִלְחָמָ֛ה [3] Tevir
גִּבּ֥וֹרֵי חַ֖יִל [2] Tip'cha
בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 13 He had many works in the cities of Judah; and men of war, mighty men of valor, in Jerusalem. [3]
14 וְאֵ֥לֶּה פְקֻדָּתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לְבֵ֣ית אֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta

1 2 2 2 15 and next to him Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred eighty thousand; [2]

1 2 3 2 2 3 16 and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself to the LORD, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor. [3]

1 2 2 2 3 17 From Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valor, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield; [2]
