גִּדַּ֣לְתִּי וְרוֹמַ֔מְתִּי [2] Munach Zaqef

“Sons [3]
I have raised and I have brought up, [2]
 
but they, [2]
they have rebelled against me. [1]

a people [3]
weighed down with iniquity, [2]
 
offspring of evildoers, [2]
sons [2]
who deal corruptly; [1]
 
they have forsaken the LORD, [3]

the Holy One of Israel, [2]
they are estranged and turned backwards. [1]

כׇּל־רֹ֣אשׁ לׇֽחֳלִ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef
וְכׇל־לֵבָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
דַּוָּֽי׃ [1] Silluq

as you rebel more and more? [1]
 
The whole head is sick, [2]
and the whole heart [2]
is faint. [1]

אֵֽין־בּ֣וֹ מְתֹ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
פֶּ֥צַע וְחַבּוּרָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וּמַכָּ֣ה טְרִיָּ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
לֹא־זֹ֙רוּ֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א חֻבָּ֔שׁוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א רֻכְּכָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בַּשָּֽׁמֶן׃ [1] Silluq

there is no soundness in it, [2]
 
wounds and bruises [2]
and raw sores; [1]
 
they haven’t been pressed out [3]
and they haven't been bound up, [2]
 
and it hasn't been softened [2]

וּשְׁמָמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֥ת זָרִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

your land [3]

strangers [3]
are devouring it, [2]
 
and a desolation [2]

כְּסֻכָּ֣ה בְכָ֑רֶם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּמְלוּנָ֥ה בְמִקְשָׁ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כְּעִ֥יר נְצוּרָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 8 So the daughter of Zion is left [2]
like a shelter in a vineyard; [1]
 
like a hut in a field of cucumbers, [2]
like a besieged city. [1]

O rulers of Sodom; [1]
 
give ear to [3]
the law of our God, [2]
O people of Gomorrah! [1]

יֹאמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
שָׂבַ֛עְתִּי [3] Tevir
עֹל֥וֹת אֵילִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְחֵ֣לֶב מְרִיאִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְדַ֨ם פָּרִ֧ים וּכְבָשִׂ֛ים [3] Qadma Darga Tevir
וְעַתּוּדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א חָפָֽצְתִּי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“I am full [3]
of the burnt offerings of rams [2]
and the fat of fed animals; [1]
 
and the blood of bulls and lambs [3]

לֵֽרָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha

מִֽי־בִקֵּ֥שׁ זֹ֛את [3] Merkha Tevir
מִיֶּדְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
רְמֹ֥ס חֲצֵרָֽי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

קְטֹ֧רֶת תּוֹעֵבָ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir

חֹ֤דֶשׁ וְשַׁבָּת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
קְרֹ֣א מִקְרָ֔א [2] Munach Zaqef
 
לֹא־אוּכַ֥ל אָ֖וֶן [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וַֽעֲצָרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

הָי֥וּ עָלַ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לָטֹ֑רַח [1] Etnachta
 
נִלְאֵ֖יתִי [2] Tip'cha
נְשֹֽׂא׃ [1] Silluq

my soul hates, [2]
 
they have become to me [2]
a burden; [1]
 
I am weary [2]
of bearing them. [1]
15 וּבְפָרִשְׂכֶ֣ם כַּפֵּיכֶ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a
אַעְלִ֤ים עֵינַי֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מִכֶּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
גַּ֛ם [3] Tevir
כִּֽי־תַרְבּ֥וּ תְפִלָּ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֵינֶ֣נִּי שֹׁמֵ֑עַ [1] Munach Etnachta

רִ֖יבוּ [2] Tip'cha
אַלְמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

אִם־יִהְי֨וּ חֲטָאֵיכֶ֤ם כַּשָּׁנִים֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
כַּשֶּׁ֣לֶג יַלְבִּ֔ינוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אִם־יַאְדִּ֥ימוּ כַתּוֹלָ֖ע [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כַּצֶּ֥מֶר יִֽהְיֽוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and let’s reason together,” [2]

“Though your sins be like scarlet [3]
they shall be as white as snow, [2]
 
though they be red like crimson, [2]

ט֥וּב הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
תֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq

and you obey; [1]
 
the good of the land [2]
you shall eat, [1]
20 וְאִם־תְּמָאֲנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וּמְרִיתֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
חֶ֣רֶב תְּאֻכְּל֔וּ [2] Munach Zaqef

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
ה֚וֹי [3] Yetiv
אֶנָּחֵ֣ם מִצָּרַ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְאִנָּקְמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵאוֹיְבָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

GOD of Hosts, [2]
 
the Mighty One [2]

“Ah, [3]
I will get relief from my foes [2]
 
and I will avenge myself [2]

עָלַ֔יִךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶצְרֹ֥ף כַּבֹּ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
סִיגָ֑יִךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָסִ֖ירָה [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־בְּדִילָֽיִךְ׃ [1] Silluq

upon you [2]
 
and I will purge away [2]
your dross; [1]
 
and I will remove [2]
all your alloy. [1]
26 וְאָשִׁ֤יבָה שֹׁפְטַ֙יִךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כְּבָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְיֹעֲצַ֖יִךְ [2] Tip'cha
כְּבַתְּחִלָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֗ן [3] Revi'a
יִקָּ֤רֵא לָךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עִ֣יר הַצֶּ֔דֶק [2] Munach Zaqef
 
קִרְיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נֶאֱמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

as at the first, [2]
 
and your counselors [2]
as at the beginning; [1]
 
afterward [3]
you shall be called [3]
‘City of Righteousness, [2]
 
the city [2]
of faithfulness.’ [1]
27 צִיּ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט תִּפָּדֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְשָׁבֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 27 Zion, [2]
with justice it shall be redeemed; [1]
 
and her repentant [2]
with righteousness. [1]
28 וְשֶׁ֧בֶר פֹּשְׁעִ֛ים [3] Darga Tevir
וְחַטָּאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יַחְדָּ֑ו [1] Etnachta
 
וְעֹזְבֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יִכְלֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 28 But there will be a crushing of transgressors [3]
and sinners [2]
together; [1]
 
and those who forsake the LORD, [2]
they shall be consumed. [1]
29 כִּ֣י יֵבֹ֔שׁוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
מֵאֵילִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר חֲמַדְתֶּ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְתַ֨חְפְּר֔וּ [2] Qadma Zaqef
מֵהַגַּנּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּחַרְתֶּֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

of the sacred oaks [2]
that you desired; [1]
 
and you shall be embarrassed [2]
for the gardens [2]
that you have chosen. [1]
30 כִּ֣י תִֽהְי֔וּ [2] Munach Zaqef
כְּאֵלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נֹבֶ֣לֶת עָלֶ֑הָ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וּֽכְגַנָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
אֲשֶׁר־מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֥ין לָֽהּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 30 For you shall be [2]
like an oak [2]
whose leaf withers; [1]
 
and like a garden [2]
that water, [2]
it doesn't have. [1]
31 וְהָיָ֤ה הֶחָסֹן֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לִנְעֹ֔רֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וּפֹעֲל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לְנִיצ֑וֹץ [1] Etnachta
 
וּבָעֲר֧וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֛ם [3] Darga Tevir
יַחְדָּ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
וְאֵ֥ין מְכַבֶּֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and they will both burn [3]
