אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָזָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
עַל־יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וִירֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם [1] Etnachta
 
בִּימֵ֨י עֻזִּיָּ֧הוּ יוֹתָ֛ם [3] Tevir
אָחָ֥ז יְחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
מַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. [3]

גִּדַּ֣לְתִּי וְרוֹמַ֔מְתִּי [2] Zaqef

פָּ֥שְׁעוּ בִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 2 Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for the LORD has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me. [3 3]

אֵב֣וּס בְּעָלָ֑יו [1] Etnachta

לֹ֣א יָדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א הִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 3 The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel doesn’t know. My people don’t consider.” [3]

עָזְב֣וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
נִֽאֲצ֛וּ [3] Tevir
אֶת־קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
נָזֹ֥רוּ אָחֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 2 3 3 4 Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the LORD. They have despised the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged and backward. [4]

תּוֹסִ֣יפוּ סָרָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־רֹ֣אשׁ לׇֽחֳלִ֔י [2] Zaqef
וְכׇל־לֵבָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
דַּוָּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 5 Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. [3]
6 מִכַּף־רֶ֤גֶל וְעַד־רֹאשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
אֵֽין־בּ֣וֹ מְתֹ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
פֶּ֥צַע וְחַבּוּרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וּמַכָּ֣ה טְרִיָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
לֹא־זֹ֙רוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א חֻבָּ֔שׁוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א רֻכְּכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בַּשָּֽׁמֶן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 6 From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it: wounds, welts, and open sores. They haven’t been closed, bandaged, or soothed with oil. [3]

שְׂרֻפ֣וֹת אֵ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta
 
אַדְמַתְכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
לְנֶגְדְּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
זָרִים֙ [3] Pashta
אֹכְלִ֣ים אֹתָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
וּשְׁמָמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֥ת זָרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 3 3 2 7 Your country is desolate. Your cities are burned with fire. Strangers devour your land in your presence and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. [2]
8 וְנוֹתְרָ֥ה בַת־צִיּ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
כְּסֻכָּ֣ה בְכָ֑רֶם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּמְלוּנָ֥ה בְמִקְשָׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּעִ֥יר נְצוּרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 8 The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a besieged city. [2]
9 לוּלֵי֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
הוֹתִ֥יר לָ֛נוּ [3] Tevir
שָׂרִ֖יד [2] Tip'cha

כִּסְדֹ֣ם הָיִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
לַעֲמֹרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
דָּמִֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 3 2 2 9 Unless the LORD of Hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have been as Sodom. We would have been like Gomorrah. [3]

1 2 2 3 10 Hear the LORD’s word, you rulers of Sodom! Listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah! [2]
11 לָמָּה־לִּ֤י רֹב־זִבְחֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
יֹאמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שָׂבַ֛עְתִּי [3] Tevir
עֹל֥וֹת אֵילִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְחֵ֣לֶב מְרִיאִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְדַ֨ם פָּרִ֧ים וּכְבָשִׂ֛ים [3] Tevir
וְעַתּוּדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א חָפָֽצְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 11 “What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?”, says the LORD. “I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed animals. I don’t delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats. [3]

מִֽי־בִקֵּ֥שׁ זֹ֛את [3] Tevir

1 2 2 2 3 12 When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts? [2]

מִנְחַת־שָׁ֔וְא [2] Zaqef
 
קְטֹ֧רֶת תּוֹעֵבָ֛ה [3] Tevir
הִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha

חֹ֤דֶשׁ וְשַׁבָּת֙ [3] Pashta
קְרֹ֣א מִקְרָ֔א [2] Zaqef
 
לֹא־אוּכַ֥ל אָ֖וֶן [2] Tip'cha
וַֽעֲצָרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 3 2 13 Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me. New moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can’t stand evil assemblies. [3]

שָֽׂנְאָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
הָי֥וּ עָלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לָטֹ֑רַח [1] Etnachta
 
נִלְאֵ֖יתִי [2] Tip'cha
נְשֹֽׂא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 14 My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them. [3]

כִּֽי־תַרְבּ֥וּ תְפִלָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֵינֶ֣נִּי שֹׁמֵ֑עַ [1] Etnachta
 
יְדֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
דָּמִ֥ים מָלֵֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 15 When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. [3]

רֹ֥עַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מִנֶּ֣גֶד עֵינָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
חִדְל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
הָרֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 16 Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil. [3]

דִּרְשׁ֥וּ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha
אַשְּׁר֣וּ חָמ֑וֹץ [1] Etnachta
 
שִׁפְט֣וּ יָת֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
רִ֖יבוּ [2] Tip'cha
אַלְמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 17 Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow.” [3]

וְנִוָּכְחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יֹאמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־יִהְי֨וּ חֲטָאֵיכֶ֤ם כַּשָּׁנִים֙ [3] Pashta
כַּשֶּׁ֣לֶג יַלְבִּ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
 
אִם־יַאְדִּ֥ימוּ כַתּוֹלָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
כַּצֶּ֥מֶר יִֽהְיֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 18 “Come now, and let’s reason together,” says the LORD: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [3]
19 אִם־תֹּאב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וּשְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
ט֥וּב הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
תֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land; [2]
20 וְאִם־תְּמָאֲנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וּמְרִיתֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
חֶ֣רֶב תְּאֻכְּל֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
פִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 2 3 20 but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.” [2]

הָיְתָ֣ה לְזוֹנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef

נֶאֱמָנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
מְלֵֽאֲתִ֣י מִשְׁפָּ֗ט [3] Revi'i
צֶ֛דֶק [3] Tevir
יָלִ֥ין בָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
וְעַתָּ֥ה מְרַצְּחִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 21 How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of justice. Righteousness lodged in her, but now there are murderers. [3]

מָה֥וּל בַּמָּֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 22 Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water. [2]

גַּנָּבִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
כֻּלּוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
אֹהֵ֣ב שֹׁ֔חַד [2] Zaqef
 
וְרֹדֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
שַׁלְמֹנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
יָתוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א יִשְׁפֹּ֔טוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְרִ֥יב אַלְמָנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־יָב֥וֹא אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef

אֶנָּחֵ֣ם מִצָּרַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְאִנָּקְמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵאוֹיְבָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 24 Therefore the Lord, GOD of Hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, says: “Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, and avenge myself on my enemies. [3]

וְאֶצְרֹ֥ף כַּבֹּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha

כׇּל־בְּדִילָֽיִךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 25 I will turn my hand on you, thoroughly purge away your dross, and will take away all your tin. [3]

כְּבָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְיֹעֲצַ֖יִךְ [2] Tip'cha
כְּבַתְּחִלָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֗ן [3] Revi'i
יִקָּ֤רֵא לָךְ֙ [3] Pashta
עִ֣יר הַצֶּ֔דֶק [2] Zaqef
 
קִרְיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נֶאֱמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 2 26 I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called ‘The city of righteousness, a faithful town.’ [3 3]

בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט תִּפָּדֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְשָׁבֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 27 Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness. [2]
28 וְשֶׁ֧בֶר פֹּשְׁעִ֛ים [3] Tevir
וְחַטָּאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יַחְדָּ֑ו [1] Etnachta
 
וְעֹזְבֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יִכְלֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 28 But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed. [3]
29 כִּ֣י יֵבֹ֔שׁוּ [2] Zaqef
מֵאֵילִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר חֲמַדְתֶּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְתַ֨חְפְּר֔וּ [2] Zaqef
מֵהַגַּנּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּחַרְתֶּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be confounded for the gardens that you have chosen. [2]
30 כִּ֣י תִֽהְי֔וּ [2] Zaqef
כְּאֵלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נֹבֶ֣לֶת עָלֶ֑הָ [1] Etnachta
 
וּֽכְגַנָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
אֲשֶׁר־מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֥ין לָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 30 For you shall be as an oak whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water. [2]
31 וְהָיָ֤ה הֶחָסֹן֙ [3] Pashta
לִנְעֹ֔רֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וּפֹעֲל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לְנִיצ֑וֹץ [1] Etnachta
 
וּבָעֲר֧וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
יַחְדָּ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
וְאֵ֥ין מְכַבֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 3 31 The strong will be like tinder, and his work like a spark. They will both burn together, and no one will quench them.” ¶ [3]
