1 מַדּ֗וּעַ [3] Revi'i
מִ֭שַּׁדַּי [3] Dechi
לֹא־נִצְפְּנ֣וּ עִתִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יֹדְעָ֗ו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־חָ֥זוּ יָמָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 1 “Why is it that [3]
from the Almighty [3]
times have not been hidden; [2]
 
but those who know him, [2]
they have not seen his days? [1]
2 גְּבֻל֥וֹת יַשִּׂ֑יגוּ [2] Etnachta
 
עֵ֥דֶר גָּ֝זְל֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַיִּרְעֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 2 There are those who move boundary markers; [2]
 
they steal flocks [2]
and they pasture them. [1]
3 חֲמ֣וֹר יְתוֹמִ֣ים [3] VDechi
יִנְהָ֑גוּ [2] Etnachta
 
יַ֝חְבְּל֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שׁ֣וֹר אַלְמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 The donkey of the fatherless [3]
they drive away; [2]
 
they take as a pledge [2]
the ox of a widow. [1]
4 יַטּ֣וּ אֶבְיֹנִ֣ים [3] VDechi
מִדָּ֑רֶךְ [2] Etnachta
 
יַ֥חַד חֻ֝בְּא֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֲנִיֵּי־אָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 They push the needy [3]
from the path; [2]
 
they all have to hide themselves, [2]
the poor of the earth. [1]
5 הֵ֤ן פְּרָאִ֨ים ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
בַּ֥מִּדְבָּ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
יָצְא֣וּ בְּ֭פׇעֳלָם [3] Dechi
מְשַׁחֲרֵ֣י לַטָּ֑רֶף [2] Etnachta
 
עֲרָבָ֥ה ל֥וֹ לֶ֝֗חֶם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַנְּעָרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 5 Behold like wild donkeys [4]
in the wilderness, [3]
 
they go about their work [3]
seeking diligently for food; [2]
 
the desert yields them bread [2]
for the children. [1]
6 בַּ֭שָּׂדֶה [3] Dechi
בְּלִיל֣וֹ *יקצירו **יִקְצ֑וֹרוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְכֶ֖רֶם רָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
יְלַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 In the field [3]
they gather its fodder; [2]
 
and the vineyard of the wicked [2]
they glean. [1]
7 עָר֣וֹם יָ֭לִינוּ [3] Dechi
מִבְּלִ֣י לְב֑וּשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥ין כְּ֝ס֗וּת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּקָּרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 Naked they lie all night [3]
without clothing; [2]
 
and have no covering [2]
in the cold. [1]
8 מִזֶּ֣רֶם הָרִ֣ים [3] VDechi
יִרְטָ֑בוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּֽמִבְּלִ֥י מַ֝חְסֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חִבְּקוּ־צֽוּר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 From the mountain rains [3]
they are wet; [2]
 
and for lack of shelter [2]
they cling to the rock. [1]
9 יִ֣גְזְלוּ מִשֹּׁ֣ד [3] VDechi
יָת֑וֹם [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽעַל־עָנִ֥י יַחְבֹּֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 9 Snatched from the breast [3]
is the orphan; [2]
 
and taken as a pledge against the poor. [1]
10 עָר֣וֹם הִ֭לְּכוּ [3] Dechi
בְּלִ֣י לְב֑וּשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝רְעֵבִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נָ֣שְׂאוּ עֹֽמֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 Naked they go about [3]
without clothing; [2]
 
and go hungry [2]
while they carry the sheaves. [1]
11 בֵּין־שׁוּרֹתָ֥ם יַצְהִ֑ירוּ [2] Etnachta
 
יְקָבִ֥ים דָּ֝רְכ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַיִּצְמָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 11 Between their walls they press oil; [2]
 
they tread wine presses, [2]
yet suffer thirst. [1]
12 מֵ֘עִ֤יר מְתִ֨ים ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
יִנְאָ֗קוּ [3] Revi'i
וְנֶֽפֶשׁ־חֲלָלִ֥ים תְּשַׁוֵּ֑עַ [2] Etnachta
 
וֶ֝אֱל֗וֹהַּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹֽא־יָשִׂ֥ים תִּפְלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 12 From out of the city men, [4]
they groan, [3]
and the soul of the wounded cries out; [2]
 
yet God, [2]
he doesn’t regard the folly. [1]
13 הֵ֤מָּה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
הָיוּ֮ [3] Sinnor
בְּֽמֹרְדֵ֫י א֥וֹר [2] Ole Veyored
 
לֹא־הִכִּ֥ירוּ דְרָכָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
וְלֹ֥א יָ֝שְׁב֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 2 13 They, [4]
they are [3]
those who rebel against the light; [2]
 
they don’t recognize its ways [2]
and they don't stay [2]
in its paths. [1]
14 לָא֡וֹר [4] Pazer
יָ֘ק֤וּם רוֹצֵ֗חַ [3] Revi'i
יִֽקְטׇל־עָנִ֥י וְאֶבְי֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בַלַּ֗יְלָה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְהִ֣י כַגַּנָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 14 At the light [4]
a murderer rises, [3]
he kills the poor and needy; [2]
 
and in the night [2]
he is like a thief. [1]
15 וְעֵ֤ין נֹאֵ֨ף ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
שָׁ֤מְרָֽה נֶ֣שֶׁף לֵ֭אמֹר [3] Dechi
לֹא־תְשׁוּרֵ֣נִי עָ֑יִן [2] Etnachta
 
וְסֵ֖תֶר פָּנִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יָשִֽׂים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 15 And the eye of an adulterer, [4]
it watches for twilight saying, [3]
‘No eye will see me’ - [2]
 
and a face covering [2]
he puts on. [1]
16 חָתַ֥ר בַּחֹ֗שֶׁךְ [3] Revi'i
בָּ֫תִּ֥ים [2] Ole Veyored
 
יוֹמָ֥ם חִתְּמוּ־לָ֗מוֹ [3/2] Revi'i
לֹא־יָ֥דְעוּ אֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 In the dark they break into [3]
houses; [2]
 
by day they shut themselves in, [3/2]
they do not know the light. [1]
17 כִּ֤י יַחְדָּ֨ו ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
בֹּ֣קֶר לָ֣מוֹ [3] VDechi
צַלְמָ֑וֶת [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יַ֝כִּ֗יר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּלְה֥וֹת צַלְמָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 17 For together [4]
morning for them [3]
is deep darkness; [2]
 
for they are familiar with [2]
the terrors of deep darkness. [1]
18 קַל־ה֤וּא ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
עַל־פְּנֵי־מַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i
 
תְּקֻלַּ֣ל חֶלְקָתָ֣ם [3] VDechi
בָּאָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
לֹא־יִ֝פְנֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דֶּ֣רֶךְ כְּרָמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 18 They are foam [4]
on the surface of the waters, [3]
 
their portion is cursed [3]
in the land; [2]
 
no one turns [2]
toward their vineyards. [1]
19 צִיָּ֤ה גַם־חֹ֗ם [3] Revi'i
יִגְזְל֥וּ מֵֽימֵי־שֶׁ֗לֶג [3/2] Revi'i
שְׁא֣וֹל חָטָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 19 Drought and heat, [3]
they snatch away the waters of snow, [3/2]
as does Sheol those who have sinned. [1]
20 יִשְׁכָּ֘חֵ֤הוּ רֶ֨חֶם ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
מְתָ֘ק֤וֹ רִמָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
ע֥וֹד לֹֽא־יִזָּכֵ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וַתִּשָּׁבֵ֖ר כָּעֵ֣ץ [2] VRevMug
עַוְלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 20 The womb forgets him, [4]
the worm feasts on him, [3]
no longer will he be remembered; [2]
 
and it will be broken like a tree, [2]
injustice. [1]
21 רֹעֶ֣ה עֲ֭קָרָה [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א תֵלֵ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַלְמָנָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יְיֵטִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 He feeds on the barren [3]
who doesn’t give birth; [2]
 
and to the widow [2]
he shows no kindness. [1]
22 וּמָשַׁ֣ךְ אַבִּירִ֣ים [3] VDechi
בְּכֹח֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
יָ֝ק֗וּם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְֽלֹא־יַאֲמִ֥ין בַּֽחַיִּֽין׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Yet He (God) drags off the mighty [3]
by his power; [2]
 
He rises up, [2]
and none has assurance of life. [1]
23 יִתֶּן־ל֣וֹ לָ֭בֶטַח [3] Dechi
וְיִשָּׁעֵ֑ן [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עֵינֵ֗יהוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־דַּרְכֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 He gives them security [3]
and they rest in it; [2]
 
but His eyes [2]
are on their ways. [1]
24 ר֤וֹמּוּ מְּעַ֨ט ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
וְֽאֵינֶ֗נּוּ [3] Revi'i
 
וְֽהֻמְּכ֗וּ [3] Revi'i
כַּכֹּ֥ל יִקָּפְצ֑וּן [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְרֹ֖אשׁ שִׁבֹּ֣לֶת [2] VRevMug
יִמָּֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 24 They are exalted a little while [4]
and then they are gone, [3]
 
and they are brought low, [3]
like all others they are gathered up; [2]
 
and like heads of grain [2]
they wither. [1]
25 וְאִם־לֹ֣א אֵ֭פוֹ [3] Dechi
מִ֣י יַכְזִיבֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
וְיָשֵׂ֥ם לְ֝אַ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִלָּתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 25 Now if it isn’t so, [3]
who can prove me a liar; [2]
 
and make into nothing [2]
my speech?” [1]
