5 Behold like wild donkeys [4] in the wilderness, [3] seeking diligently for food; [2] for the children. [1] |
[1] Silluq |

10 Naked they go about [3] without clothing; [2] while they carry the sheaves. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 Between their walls they press oil; [2] yet suffer thirst. [1] |
12 From out of the city men, [4] they groan, [3] and the soul of the wounded cries out; [2] he doesn’t regard the folly. [1] |
| 13 הֵ֤מָּה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh הָיוּ֮ [3] Sinnor בְּֽמֹרְדֵ֫י א֥וֹר [2] Ole Veyored וְלֹ֥א יָ֝שְׁב֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
13 They, [4] they are [3] those who rebel against the light; [2] and they don't stay [2] in its paths. [1] |
14 At the light [4] a murderer rises, [3] he kills the poor and needy; [2] he is like a thief. [1] |

17 For together [4] morning for them [3] is deep darkness; [2] the terrors of deep darkness. [1] |
| 18 קַל־ה֤וּא ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh עַל־פְּנֵי־מַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i בָּאָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta דֶּ֣רֶךְ כְּרָמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
18 They are foam [4] on the surface of the waters, [3] in the land; [2] toward their vineyards. [1] |
| 19 צִיָּ֤ה גַם־חֹ֗ם [3] Revi'i יִגְזְל֥וּ מֵֽימֵי־שֶׁ֗לֶג [3/2] Revi'i שְׁא֣וֹל חָטָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
19 Drought and heat, [3] they snatch away the waters of snow, [3/2] as does Sheol those who have sinned. [1] |
20 The womb forgets him, [4] the worm feasts on him, [3] no longer will he be remembered; [2] injustice. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
21 He feeds on the barren [3] who doesn’t give birth; [2] he shows no kindness. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
22 Yet He (God) drags off the mighty [3] by his power; [2] and none has assurance of life. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
23 He gives them security [3] and they rest in it; [2] are on their ways. [1] |
24 They are exalted a little while [4] and then they are gone, [3] like all others they are gathered up; [2] they wither. [1] |
25 Now if it isn’t so, [3] who can prove me a liar; [2] my speech?” [1] ¶ |
