2 36 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, [2]

בֶּן־אַהֲרֹ֣ן הַכֹּהֵ֗ן [3] Revi'i
 
וְיָרֵ֤ם אֶת־הַמַּחְתֹּת֙ [3] Pashta
מִבֵּ֣ין הַשְּׂרֵפָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־הָאֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
זְרֵה־הָ֑לְאָה [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
קָדֵֽשׁוּ׃ [1] Silluq

כִּֽי־הִקְרִיבֻ֥ם לִפְנֵֽי־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּקְדָּ֑שׁוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְיִֽהְי֥וּ לְא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 4 3 4 2 2 38 even the censers of those who sinned against their own lives. Let them be beaten into plates for a covering of the altar, for they offered them before the LORD. Therefore they are holy. They shall be a sign to the children of Israel.” ¶ [4]

1 2 3 4 2 2 41 But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and against Aaron, saying, “You have killed the LORD’s people!” ¶ [4]

עַל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef

וְהִנֵּ֥ה כִסָּ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
הֶעָנָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
כְּב֥וֹד יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 2 42 When the congregation was assembled against Moses and against Aaron, they looked toward the Tent of Meeting. Behold, the cloud covered it, and the LORD’s glory appeared. [3]

2 3 2 43 Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of Meeting. [3]

2 44 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, [2]

מִתּוֹךְ֙ [3] Pashta
הָעֵדָ֣ה הַזֹּ֔את [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲכַלֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כְּרָ֑גַע [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
עַל־פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 45 “Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment!” They fell on their faces. ¶ [3]

וְהוֹלֵ֧ךְ מְהֵרָ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶל־הָעֵדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְכַפֵּ֣ר עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יָצָ֥א הַקֶּ֛צֶף [3] Tevir
מִלִּפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הֵחֵ֥ל הַנָּֽגֶף׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 4 4 2 3 2 3 46 Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer, put fire from the altar in it, lay incense on it, carry it quickly to the congregation, and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the LORD! The plague has begun.” ¶ [4]

הֵחֵ֥ל הַנֶּ֖גֶף [2] Tip'cha
בָּעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתֵּן֙ [3] Pashta
אֶֽת־הַקְּטֹ֔רֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְכַפֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 4 3 2 3 2 3 2 47 Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the middle of the assembly. The plague had already begun among the people. He put on the incense, and made atonement for the people. [4]
13 וַיַּעֲמֹ֥ד בֵּֽין־הַמֵּתִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וּבֵ֣ין הַֽחַיִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַתֵּעָצַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
הַמַּגֵּפָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 48 He stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. [2]
14 וַיִּהְי֗וּ [3] Revi'i

בַּמַּגֵּפָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר [3] Tevir

מִלְּבַ֥ד הַמֵּתִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עַל־דְּבַר־קֹֽרַח׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 49 Now those who died by the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, in addition to those who died about the matter of Korah. [3]
15 וַיָּ֤שׇׁב אַהֲרֹן֙ [3] Pashta

הֵ֥ם מַלִּינִ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

מַטֶּה֩ לְנָשִׂ֨יא אֶחָ֜ד [4] Geresh
מַטֶּ֨ה לְנָשִׂ֤יא אֶחָד֙ [3] Pashta
לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מַטּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וּמַטֵּ֥ה אַהֲרֹ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
בְּת֥וֹךְ מַטּוֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 4 4 2 2 6 Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, a total of twelve rods. Aaron’s rod was among their rods. [4]

1 2 3 2 7 Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the Tent of the Testimony. ¶ [3]

וַיָּבֹ֤א מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל הָעֵד֔וּת [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֛ה [3] Tevir
פָּרַ֥ח מַטֵּֽה־אַהֲרֹ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
לְבֵ֣ית לֵוִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֤צֵֽא פֶ֙רַח֙ [3 3] Pashta
וַיָּ֣צֵֽץ צִ֔יץ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּגְמֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
שְׁקֵדִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 3 2 8 On the next day, Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron’s rod for the house of Levi had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds. [3]
24 וַיֹּצֵ֨א מֹשֶׁ֤ה אֶת־כׇּל־הַמַּטֹּת֙ [3] Pashta
מִלִּפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֶֽל־כׇּל־בְּנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּרְא֥וּ וַיִּקְח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אִ֥ישׁ מַטֵּֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 9 Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD to all the children of Israel. They looked, and each man took his rod. ¶ [3]

הָשֵׁ֞ב [4] Gershayim

לְמִשְׁמֶ֥רֶת לְא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
לִבְנֵי־מֶ֑רִי [1] Etnachta
 
וּתְכַ֧ל תְּלוּנֹּתָ֛ם [3] Tevir
מֵעָלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א יָמֻֽתוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 4 2 2 3 10 The LORD said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the covenant, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their complaining against me, that they not die.” [4]

1 2 3 2 2 3 12 The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone! [3]
28 כֹּ֣ל הַקָּרֵ֧ב ׀ הַקָּרֵ֛ב [3] Tevir
אֶל־מִשְׁכַּ֥ן יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יָמ֑וּת [1] Etnachta
