1 וַיַּ֥עַן אִיּ֗וֹב [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq

2 גַּם־הַ֭יּוֹם [3] Dechi
מְרִ֣י שִׂחִ֑י [2] Etnachta

יָ֝דִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כָּבְדָ֥ה עַל־אַנְחָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 “Even today my complaint is rebellious. His hand is heavy in spite of my groaning. [3]
3 מִֽי־יִתֵּ֣ן יָ֭דַעְתִּי [3] Dechi
וְאֶמְצָאֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta

אָ֝ב֗וֹא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַד־תְּכוּנָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! That I might come even to his seat! [3]
4 אֶעֶרְכָ֣ה לְפָנָ֣יו [3] VDechi
מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta

וּ֝פִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֲמַלֵּ֥א תוֹכָחֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 I would set my cause in order before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. [3]
5 אֵ֭דְעָה [3] Dechi
מִלִּ֣ים יַעֲנֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta

וְ֝אָבִ֗ינָה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַה־יֹּ֥אמַר לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would tell me. [3]
6 הַבְּרָב־כֹּ֭חַ [3] Dechi
יָרִ֣יב עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta

לֹ֥א אַךְ־ה֝֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָשִׂ֥ם בִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No, but he would listen to me. [3]
7 שָׁ֗ם [3] Revi'i
יָ֭שָׁר [3] Dechi
נוֹכָ֣ח עִמּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

וַאֲפַלְּטָ֥ה לָ֝נֶ֗צַח [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשֹּׁפְטִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 7 There the upright might reason with him, so I should be delivered forever from my judge. [3]
8 הֵ֤ן קֶ֣דֶם אֶהֱלֹ֣ךְ [3] VDechi
וְאֵינֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta

וְ֝אָח֗וֹר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְֽלֹא־אָבִ֥ין לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 “If I go east, he is not there; if west, I can’t find him, [3]
9 שְׂמֹ֣אול בַּעֲשֹׂת֣וֹ [3] VDechi
וְלֹא־אָ֑חַז [2] Etnachta

יַעְטֹ֥ף יָ֝מִ֗ין [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א אֶרְאֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 He works to the north, but I can’t see him. He turns south, but I can’t catch a glimpse of him. [3]
10 כִּֽי־יָ֭דַע [3] Dechi
דֶּ֣רֶךְ עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta

בְּ֝חָנַ֗נִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כַּזָּהָ֥ב אֵצֵֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. [3]
11 בַּ֭אֲשֻׁרוֹ [3] Dechi
אָחֲזָ֣ה רַגְלִ֑י [2] Etnachta

דַּרְכּ֖וֹ שָׁמַ֣רְתִּי [2] VRevMug
וְלֹא־אָֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away. [3]
12 מִצְוַ֣ת שְׂ֭פָתָיו [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א אָמִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta

מֵ֝חֻקִּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
צָפַ֥נְתִּי אִמְרֵי־פִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. [3]
13 וְה֣וּא בְ֭אֶחָד [3] Dechi
וּמִ֣י יְשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta

וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹ אִוְּתָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
וַיָּֽעַשׂ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does. [3]
14 כִּ֭י [3] Dechi
יַשְׁלִ֣ים חֻקִּ֑י [2] Etnachta

וְכָהֵ֖נָּה רַבּ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
עִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 For he performs that which is appointed for me. Many such things are with him. [3]
15 עַל־כֵּ֭ן [3] Dechi
מִפָּנָ֣יו אֶבָּהֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta

אֶ֝תְבּוֹנֵ֗ן [2] Revi'i Mugrash

16 וְ֭אֵל [3] Dechi
הֵרַ֣ךְ לִבִּ֑י [2] Etnachta

וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הִבְהִילָֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 For God has made my heart faint. The Almighty has terrified me. [3]
17 כִּֽי־לֹ֣א נִ֭צְמַתִּי [3] Dechi
מִפְּנֵי־חֹ֑שֶׁךְ [2] Etnachta

וּ֝מִפָּנַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּסָּה־אֹֽפֶל׃ [1] Silluq
