1 וַיַּ֥עַן אִיּ֗וֹב [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 Then Job answered, [3/2]
2 מֶה־עָזַ֥רְתָּ לְלֹא־כֹ֑חַ [2] Etnachta
 
ה֝וֹשַׁ֗עְתָּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
זְר֣וֹעַ לֹא־עֹֽז׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 2 “How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength! [2]
 
3 מַה־יָּ֭עַצְתָּ [3] Dechi
לְלֹ֣א חָכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תוּשִׁיָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָרֹ֥ב הוֹדָֽעְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge! [3]
4 אֶת־מִ֭י [3] Dechi
הִגַּ֣דְתָּ מִלִּ֑ין [2] Etnachta
 
וְנִשְׁמַת־מִ֝י [2] Geresh
יָצְאָ֥ה מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out of you? [3]
5 הָרְפָאִ֥ים יְחוֹלָ֑לוּ [2] Etnachta
 
מִתַּ֥חַת מַ֝֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְשֹׁכְנֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 5 “The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them. [2]
 
6 עָר֣וֹם שְׁא֣וֹל [3] VDechi
נֶגְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥ין כְּ֝ס֗וּת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָֽאֲבַדּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering. [3]
7 נֹטֶ֣ה צָפ֣וֹן [3] VDechi
עַל־תֹּ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
תֹּ֥לֶה אֶ֝֗רֶץ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־בְּלִי־מָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing. [3]
8 צֹרֵֽר־מַ֥יִם בְּעָבָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־נִבְקַ֖ע עָנָ֣ן [2] VRevMug
תַּחְתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them. [2]
 
9 מְאַחֵ֥ז פְּנֵי־כִסֵּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
פַּרְשֵׁ֖ז עָלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
עֲנָנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 9 He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it. [2]
 
10 חֹֽק־חָ֭ג [3] Dechi
עַל־פְּנֵי־מָ֑יִם [2] Etnachta
 
עַד־תַּכְלִ֖ית א֣וֹר [2] VRevMug
עִם־חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness. [3]
11 עַמּוּדֵ֣י שָׁמַ֣יִם [3] VDechi
יְרוֹפָ֑פוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יִתְמְה֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִגַּעֲרָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. [3]
12 בְּ֭כֹחוֹ [3] Dechi
רָגַ֣ע הַיָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
*ובתובנתו **וּ֝בִתְבוּנָת֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מָ֣חַץ רָֽהַב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab. [3]
13 בְּ֭רוּחוֹ [3] Dechi
שָׁמַ֣יִם שִׁפְרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
חֹֽלֲלָ֥ה יָ֝ד֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נָחָ֥שׁ בָּרִֽיחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent. [3]
14 הֶן־אֵ֤לֶּה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
קְצ֬וֹת *דרכו **דְּרָכָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
 
וּמַה־שֵּׁ֣מֶץ דָּ֭בָר [3] Dechi
נִשְׁמַע־בּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְרַ֥עַם *גבורתו **גְּ֝בוּרוֹתָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִ֣י יִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 4 3 2 14 Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?” ¶ [4]
