6 On this mountain the Lord of Hosts
will prepare for all the nations
a feast of pieces fat,
a feast of wine on the lees –
fat pieces full of marrow,
and wine on the lees well strained.
7 He will rend on this mountain the veil
that enwrapped the face of all nations.
8 He will swallow up death for ever.
And then will swallow up death for ever.
And then will the Lord God
wipe tears from every face,
and remove from off the earth
the reproach that has clung to his people.
The Lord himself has decreed it.
