1 וַיְהִ֣י הַיּ֗וֹם [3] Revi'i וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹנָתָ֤ן בֶּן־שָׁאוּל֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־הַנַּ֙עַר֙ [3 3] Pashta נֹשֵׂ֣א כֵלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וְנַעְבְּרָה֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־מַצַּ֣ב פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef מֵעֵ֣בֶר הַלָּ֑ז [1] Etnachta לֹ֥א הִגִּֽיד׃ [1] Silluq |
1 Now the day came, [3] that Jonathan the son of Saul said [3] to the young man [3 3] who bore his armor, [2] and let us pass over [3] to the garrison of the Philistines [2] is on the other side.” [1] he didn’t tell. [1] |

2 וְשָׁא֗וּל [3] Revi'i יוֹשֵׁב֙ [3] Pashta בִּקְצֵ֣ה הַגִּבְעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּמִגְר֑וֹן [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֣ר עִמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef אִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And Saul [3] was sitting [3] at the edge of Gibeah, [2] which is in Migron; [1] who were with him [2] men, [1] |

3 וַאֲחִיָּ֣ה בֶן־אֲחִט֡וּב [4] Pazer אֲחִ֡י [4] Pazer אִיכָב֣וֹד ׀ [4] Legarmeh בֶּן־פִּֽינְחָ֨ס בֶּן־עֵלִ֜י [4] Geresh כֹּהֵ֧ן ׀ יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir לֹ֣א יָדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef יוֹנָתָֽן׃ [1] Silluq |
3 including Ahijah the son of Ahitub [4] the brother [4] of Ichabod, [4] the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli [4] the priest of the LORD [3] didn’t know [2] Jonathan. [1] |

4 וּבֵ֣ין הַֽמַּעְבְּר֗וֹת [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁ֨ר בִּקֵּ֤שׁ יֽוֹנָתָן֙ [3] Pashta לַעֲבֹר֙ [3] Pashta עַל־מַצַּ֣ב פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef מִזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef מִזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta בּוֹצֵ֔ץ [2] Zaqef סֶֽנֶּה׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And between the passes [3] which Jonathan sought [3] to pass over [3] to the garrison of the Philistines, [2] from this, [2] from this; [1] was Bozez, [2] was Seneh. [1] |

5 The one crag [3] was a pillar on the north, [2] in front of Michmash; [1] in front of Geba. [1] § |

6 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹנָתָ֜ן [4] Geresh אֶל־הַנַּ֣עַר ׀ [4] Legarmeh נֹשֵׂ֣א כֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i וְנַעְבְּרָ֗ה [3] Revi'i אֶל־מַצַּב֙ [3] Pashta הָעֲרֵלִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לָ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta מַעְצ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef א֥וֹ בִמְעָֽט׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And Jonathan said [4] to the young man [4] who bore his armor, [3] and let us pass over [3] to the garrison [3] of these uncircumcised men; [2] the LORD will work [2] for us. [1] limitation, [2] or by few.” [1] |

7 And he said to him, [3] his armor bearer, [2] all that is in your heart. [1] and behold, I am with you [2] according to your heart.” [1] § |

8 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta יְה֣וֹנָתָ֔ן [2] Zaqef אֲנַ֥חְנוּ עֹבְרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha אֶל־הָאֲנָשִׁ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Then he said, [3 3] Jonathan, [2] we are about to pass over [2] to the men; [1] to them. [1] |

9 אִם־כֹּ֤ה יֹֽאמְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta אֵלֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef עַד־הַגִּיעֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וְלֹ֥א נַעֲלֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
9 If they say this [3] to us, [2] until we reach [2] you!’ [1] and we will not go up [2] to them. [1] |

10 וְאִם־כֹּ֨ה יֹאמְר֜וּ [4] Geresh עֲל֤וּ עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta וְעָלִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef בְּיָדֵ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta הָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
10 But if they say this, [4] ‘Come up to us!’ [3 3] then we will go up, [2] into our hand; [1] shall be the sign.” [1] |

11 וַיִּגָּל֣וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֶל־מַצַּ֖ב [2] Tip'cha פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta יֹֽצְאִ֔ים [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִתְחַבְּאוּ־שָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And the two of them revealed themselves [2] to the garrison [2] of the Philistines; [1] are coming out [2] where they have hidden themselves!” [1] |

12 וַיַּעֲנוּ֩ אַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמַּצָּבָ֜ה [4] Geresh אֶת־יוֹנָתָ֣ן ׀ [4] Legarmeh וְאֶת־נֹשֵׂ֣א כֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i עֲל֣וּ אֵלֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef דָּבָ֑ר [1] Etnachta פ אֶל־נֹשֵׂ֤א כֵלָיו֙ [3] Pashta עֲלֵ֣ה אַחֲרַ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּיַ֥ד יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And the men of the garrison answered [4] Jonathan [4] and his armor bearer, [3] “Come up to us, [2] something!” [1] ¶ to his armor bearer, [3] “Come up after me, [2] into the hand of Israel.” [1] |

13 וַיַּ֣עַל יוֹנָתָ֗ן [3] Revi'i עַל־יָדָיו֙ [3] Pashta וְעַל־רַגְלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef אַחֲרָ֑יו [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֣י יוֹנָתָ֔ן [2] Zaqef מְמוֹתֵ֥ת אַחֲרָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And Jonathan went up [3] on his hands [3] and on his feet, [2] behind him; [1] before Jonathan, [2] killing behind him. [1] |

14 וַתְּהִ֞י [4] Gershayim הַמַּכָּ֣ה הָרִאשֹׁנָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְנֹשֵׂ֥א כֵלָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha צֶ֥מֶד שָׂדֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And it was, [4] the first slaughter [3] with his armor bearer, [2] in an acre of land. [1] |

15 וַתְּהִי֩ חֲרָדָ֨ה בַמַּחֲנֶ֤ה בַשָּׂדֶה֙ [3] Pashta וּבְכׇל־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְהַמַּשְׁחִ֔ית [2] Zaqef גַּם־הֵ֑מָּה [1] Etnachta וַתְּהִ֖י [2] Tip'cha לְחֶרְדַּ֥ת אֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And there was trembling in the camp in the field, [3] and among all the people. [2] and the raiders, [2] they also; [1] so it became [2] an exceedingly great trembling. [1] |

16 וַיִּרְא֤וּ הַצֹּפִים֙ [3] Pashta לְשָׁא֔וּל [2] Zaqef בִּנְיָמִ֑ן [1] Etnachta נָמ֖וֹג [2] Tip'cha וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ וַהֲלֹֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
16 And they saw, the watchmen [3] of Saul [2] of Benjamin; [1] they melted away [2] and they scattered. [1] ¶ |

17 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֗וּל [3] Revi'i לָעָם֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef מִ֖י [2] Tip'cha הָלַ֣ךְ מֵעִמָּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta אֵ֥ין יוֹנָתָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha וְנֹשֵׂ֥א כֵלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And Saul said [3] to the people [3] who were with him, [2] who [2] is missing from us.” [1] not there were [2] Jonathan and his armor bearer. [1] |

18 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר שָׁאוּל֙ [3] Pashta לַֽאֲחִיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֲר֣וֹן הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֲר֧וֹן הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha וּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
18 And Saul said [3] to Ahijah, [2] the ark of God.” [1] the ark of God [3] in that day [2] with the children of Israel. [1] |

19 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i עַ֣ד דִּבֶּ֤ר שָׁאוּל֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־הַכֹּהֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta בְּמַחֲנֵ֣ה פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef וָרָ֑ב [1] Etnachta פ אֶל־הַכֹּהֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha אֱסֹ֥ף יָדֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And it was, [3] while Saul spoke [3] to the priest, [2] that [3] was in the camp of the Philistines [2] and increased; [1] ¶ to the priest, [2] “Withdraw your hand!” [1] |

20 וַיִּזָּעֵ֣ק שָׁא֗וּל [3] Revi'i וְכׇל־הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef עַד־הַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta חֶ֤רֶב אִישׁ֙ [3] Pashta בְּרֵעֵ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef גְּדוֹלָ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq |
20 And they were gathered together, Saul [3] and all the people [3] who were with him, [2] to the battle; [1] the sword of each man [3] against his neighbor, [2] very great. [1] |

21 וְהָעִבְרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i הָי֤וּ לַפְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ [3] Pashta כְּאֶתְמ֣וֹל שִׁלְשׁ֔וֹם [2] Zaqef בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha סָבִ֑יב [1] Etnachta לִֽהְיוֹת֙ [3] Pashta עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef וְיוֹנָתָֽן׃ [1] Silluq |
21 Now the Hebrews [3] who had been with the Philistines [3] just three days before, [2] into the camp [2] from all around; [1] (turned) to be [3] with the Israelites [2] and Jonathan. [1] |

22 וְכֹל֩ אִ֨ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל [4] Geresh הַמִּֽתְחַבְּאִ֤ים בְּהַר־אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta שָֽׁמְע֔וּ [2] Zaqef פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta אַחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
22 And all the men of Israel [4] who had hidden themselves in the hill country of Ephraim, [3 3] they heard [2] the Philistines; [1] after them [2] in the battle. [1] |

23 וַיּ֧וֹשַׁע יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta עָבְרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶת־בֵּ֥ית אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq |
23 So the LORD delivered [3] on that day [2] Israel; [1] it passed beyond [2] Beth Aven. [1] |

24 וְאִֽישׁ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל נִגַּ֖שׂ [2] Tip'cha בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא [1] Etnachta לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁר־יֹ֨אכַל לֶ֜חֶם [4] Geresh עַד־הָעֶ֗רֶב [3] Revi'i מֵאֹ֣יְבַ֔י [2] Zaqef לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq ס |
24 And the men of Israel were hard pressed [2] on that day; [1] saying, [3] who eats food [4] until the evening, [3] from my enemies.” [2] food. [1] § |

25 וְכׇל־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha בָּ֣אוּ בַיָּ֑עַר [1] Etnachta עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
25 And when all the people of the land, [2] they went into the forest; [1] on the ground. [1] |

26 וַיָּבֹ֤א הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־הַיַּ֔עַר [2] Zaqef הֵ֣לֶךְ דְּבָ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta אֶל־פִּ֔יו [2] Zaqef אֶת־הַשְּׁבֻעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
26 When the people went [3] into the forest, [2] a flowing of honey; [1] to his mouth, [2] the oath. [1] |

27 וְיוֹנָתָ֣ן לֹא־שָׁמַ֗ע [3] Revi'i בְּהַשְׁבִּ֣יעַ אָבִיו֮ [3] Zarqa אֶת־הָעָם֒ [2] Segol אֶת־קְצֵ֤ה הַמַּטֶּה֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּיָד֔וֹ [2] Zaqef בְּיַעְרַ֣ת הַדְּבָ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta אֶל־פִּ֔יו [2] Zaqef עֵינָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
27 But Jonathan hadn't heard [3] when his father commanded with an oath [3] the people, [2] the end of the staff [3] that was in his hand, [2] in the honeycomb; [1] to his mouth, [2] his eyes. [1] |

28 וַיַּ֩עַן֩ אִ֨ישׁ מֵהָעָ֜ם [4] Geresh וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־יֹ֥אכַל לֶ֖חֶם [2] Tip'cha הַיּ֑וֹם [1] Etnachta הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
28 Then one of the people answered [4] and he said, [3] saying, [2] who eats food [2] today.’ ” [1] the people. [1] |

29 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta יֽוֹנָתָ֔ן [2] Zaqef אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta כִּי־אֹ֣רוּ עֵינַ֔י [2] Zaqef מְעַ֖ט [2] Tip'cha דְּבַ֥שׁ הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
29 And he said, [3 3] Jonathan, [2] the land. [1] how my eyes have brightened, [2] a little [2] of this honey. [1] |

30 אַ֗ף [3] Revi'i לוּא֩ אָכֹ֨ל אָכַ֤ל הַיּוֹם֙ [3] Pashta הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֣ר מָצָ֑א [1] Etnachta לֹא־רָבְתָ֥ה מַכָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
30 How much more [3] if they had eaten freely today [3] the people, [2] that they found? [1] the slaughter has not been great [2] among the Philistines.” [1] |

31 וַיַּכּ֞וּ [4] Gershayim בַּיּ֤וֹם הַהוּא֙ [3] Pashta בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef אַיָּלֹ֑נָה [1] Etnachta מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq |
31 And they defeated [4] on that day [3] the Philistines [2] to Aijalon; [1] exceedingly, [1] |

32 *ויעש **וַיַּ֤עַט הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־*שלל **הַשָּׁלָ֔ל [2] Zaqef וּבְנֵ֥י בָקָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha וַיִּשְׁחֲטוּ־אָ֑רְצָה [1] Etnachta עַל־הַדָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
32 and the people rushed [3] to the plunder, [2] and calves, [2] and they slaughtered them on the ground; [1] with the blood. [1] |

33 וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ לְשָׁאוּל֙ [3] Pashta לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef חֹטִ֥אים לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לֶאֱכֹ֣ל עַל־הַדָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta גֹּלּוּ־אֵלַ֥י הַיּ֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha אֶ֥בֶן גְּדוֹלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
33 Then they told Saul [3] saying, [2] are sinning against the LORD, [2] by eating with the blood.” [1] Roll to me this day [2] a large stone.” [1] |

34 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֣וּל פֻּ֣צוּ בָעָ֡ם [4] Pazer וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֣ם לָהֶ֡ם [4] Pazer הַגִּ֣ישׁוּ אֵלַי֩ אִ֨ישׁ שׁוֹר֜וֹ [4] Geresh וְאִ֣ישׁ שְׂיֵ֗הוּ [3] Revi'i וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֔ם [2] Zaqef לֶאֱכֹ֣ל אֶל־הַדָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta אִ֣ישׁ שׁוֹר֧וֹ בְיָד֛וֹ [3] Tevir הַלַּ֖יְלָה [2] Tip'cha וַיִּשְׁחֲטוּ־שָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq |
34 And Saul said, “Scatter yourselves among the people, [4] and tell them, [4] ‘Bring me here each one his ox [4] and each one his sheep, [3] and eat, [2] by eating with the blood.’ ” [1] each one his ox with him [3] that night, [2] and they slaughtered them there. [1] |

35 וַיִּ֧בֶן שָׁא֛וּל [3] Tevir מִזְבֵּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha לַיהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta לִבְנ֥וֹת מִזְבֵּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha לַיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
35 And Saul built [3] an altar [2] to the LORD; [1] altar built [2] to the LORD. [1] ¶ |

36 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֡וּל [4] Pazer נֵרְדָ֣ה אַחֲרֵי֩ פְלִשְׁתִּ֨ים ׀ לַ֜יְלָה [4] Geresh וְֽנָבֹ֥זָה בָהֶ֣ם ׀ [4] Legarmeh עַד־א֣וֹר הַבֹּ֗קֶר [3] Revi'i אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef כׇּל־הַטּ֥וֹב בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha עֲשֵׂ֑ה [1] Etnachta ס הַכֹּהֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
36 And Saul said, [4] “Let’s go down after the Philistines by night, [4] and let us plunder them [4] until the light of the morning, [3] anyone.” [2] “Whatever seems good in your eyes, [2] do.” [1] § the priest, [2] to God.” [1] |

37 וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל שָׁאוּל֙ [3] Pashta בֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef אַחֲרֵ֣י פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef בְּיַ֣ד יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq |
37 And Saul asked [3] of God, [2] after the Philistines? [2] into the hand of Israel?” [1] that day. [1] |

38 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֔וּל [2] Zaqef גֹּ֣שֽׁוּ הֲלֹ֔ם [2] Zaqef כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha פִּנּ֣וֹת הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta הָ֥יְתָ֛ה [3] Tevir הַחַטָּ֥את הַזֹּ֖את [2] Tip'cha הַיּֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq |
38 And Saul said, [2] “Draw near here, [2] all [2] you chiefs of the people; [1] has it happened [3] this sin [2] today. [1] |

39 כִּ֣י חַי־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i הַמּוֹשִׁ֙יעַ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef בְּיוֹנָתָ֥ן בְּנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha כִּ֣י מ֣וֹת יָמ֑וּת [1] Etnachta מִכׇּל־הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
39 For, as the LORD lives [3] who delivers [3 3] Israel, [2] in Jonathan my son, [2] he shall surely die.” [1] of all the people. [1] |

40 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i אַתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta תִּֽהְיוּ֙ [3] Pashta לְעֵ֣בֶר אֶחָ֔ד [2] Zaqef וְיוֹנָתָ֣ן בְּנִ֔י [2] Zaqef לְעֵ֣בֶר אֶחָ֑ד [1] Etnachta אֶל־שָׁא֔וּל [2] Zaqef עֲשֵֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq ס |
40 Then he said to all Israel, [3] “You, [3] you will be [3] on one side, [2] and Jonathan my son, [2] on the other side.” [1] to Saul, [2] do.” [1] § |

41 And Saul said [3] to the LORD, [3] the God of Israel, [2] “Show who is blameless.” [1] with Saul, [2] but the people escaped. [1] |

43 And Saul said [3] to Jonathan, [2] what have you done.” [1] with the end of the staff that was in my hand, [3] a little honey; [2] § |

44 And Saul said, [2] “Thus may God do [2] and more also; [1] Jonathan.” [1] |

45 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הָעָ֜ם [4] Geresh אֶל־שָׁא֗וּל [3] Revi'i הַיְשׁוּעָ֨ה הַגְּדוֹלָ֣ה הַזֹּאת֮ [3] Zarqa בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒ [2] Segol חַי־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta מִשַּׂעֲרַ֤ת רֹאשׁוֹ֙ [3] Pashta אַ֔רְצָה [2] Zaqef הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֶת־יוֹנָתָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha וְלֹא־מֵֽת׃ [1] Silluq ס |
45 And the people said [4] to Saul, [3] this great deliverance [3] in Israel? [2] as the LORD lives, [3] one hair of his head [3] to the ground, [2] this day!” [1] Jonathan, [2] and he didn’t die. [1] § |

46 Then Saul went up [2] from following [2] the Philistines; [1] they went to their place. [1] |

47 Now when Saul, [3] he had taken the kingship, [2] over Israel; [1] against Moab, [4] and against the children of Ammon and against Edom, [4] and against the kings of Zobah, [3] he defeated them. [1] |

50 And the name [3] of the wife of Saul [2] the daughter of Ahimaaz; [1] was Abner [2] the uncle of Saul. [1] |

51 And Kish was the father of Saul, [3] and Ner the father of Abner [2] was the son of Abiel. [1] § |
