1 וַיַּמְלִ֩יכוּ֩ יוֹשְׁבֵ֨י יְרוּשָׁלַ֜͏ִם [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
אֶת־אֲחַזְיָ֨הוּ בְנ֤וֹ הַקָּטֹן֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
תַּחְתָּ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֤י כׇל־הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הָרַ֣ג הַגְּד֔וּד [2] Munach Zaqef
 
הַבָּ֥א בָעַרְבִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
אֲחַזְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹרָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

1 2 3 4 2 3 2 2 3 1 The inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his place, because the band of men who came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the oldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned. [4]

וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef

בַּת־עׇמְרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 2 2 Ahaziah was forty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. [3]
3 גַּם־ה֣וּא הָלַ֔ךְ [2] Munach Zaqef
בְּדַרְכֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֣ית אַחְאָ֑ב [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י אִמּ֛וֹ [3] Merkha Tevir
הָיְתָ֥ה יוֹעַצְתּ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְהַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 3 He also walked in the ways of Ahab’s house, because his mother was his counselor in acting wickedly. [2]
4 וַיַּ֧עַשׂ הָרַ֛ע [3] Darga Tevir
בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כְּבֵ֣ית אַחְאָ֑ב [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּי־הֵ֜מָּה [4] Geresh
הָיוּ־ל֣וֹ יֽוֹעֲצִ֗ים [3] Munach Revi'a
 
אַֽחֲרֵ֛י [3] Tevir
מ֥וֹת אָבִ֖יו [2] Merkha Tip'cha
 
לְמַשְׁחִ֥ית לֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 4 3 4 He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, as did Ahab’s house, for they were his counselors after the death of his father, to his destruction. [3]

לַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה [3] Tevir
עַל־חֲזָאֵ֥ל מֶלֶךְ־אֲרָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
 
בְּרָמ֣וֹת גִּלְעָ֑ד [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַיַּכּ֥וּ הָרַמִּ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֶת־יוֹרָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 4 3 2 5 He also followed their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth Gilead, and the Syrians wounded Joram. [3]

לְהִתְרַפֵּ֣א בְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל [3] Munach Revi'a
 
כִּ֤י הַמַּכִּים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִכֻּ֣הוּ בָרָמָ֔ה [2] Munach Munach Zaqef
 
בְּהִלָּ֣חֲמ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef
אֶת־חֲזָהאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַעֲזַרְיָ֨הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹרָ֜ם [4] Qadma Geresh
מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a
 
יָרַ֡ד [4] Pazer
לִרְא֞וֹת [4] Gershayim
אֶת־יְהוֹרָ֧ם בֶּן־אַחְאָ֛ב [3] Darga Tevir
בְּיִזְרְעֶ֖אל [2] Tip'cha
 
כִּי־חֹלֶ֥ה הֽוּא׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 2 3 4 3 4 4 6 He returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which they had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick. ¶ [4]

יָצָ֤א עִם־יְהוֹרָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֶל־יֵה֣וּא בֶן־נִמְשִׁ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר מְשָׁח֣וֹ יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Munach Zaqef
לְהַכְרִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־בֵּ֥ית אַחְאָֽב׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 3 3 2 2 7 Now the destruction of Ahaziah was of God, in that he went to Joram; for when he had come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off Ahab’s house. [3]

וַיִּמְצָא֩ אֶת־שָׂרֵ֨י יְהוּדָ֜ה [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
וּבְנֵ֨י אֲחֵ֧י אֲחַזְיָ֛הוּ [3] Qadma Darga Tevir
מְשָׁרְתִ֥ים לַאֲחַזְיָ֖הוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וַיַּהַרְגֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 4 8 When Jehu was executing judgment on Ahab’s house, he found the princes of Judah and the sons of the brothers of Ahaziah, serving Ahaziah, and killed them. [2]
9 וַיְבַקֵּשׁ֩ אֶת־אֲחַזְיָ֨הוּ וַֽיִּלְכְּדֻ֜הוּ [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
וְה֧וּא מִתְחַבֵּ֣א בְשֹׁמְר֗וֹן [3] Darga Munach Revi'a
 
וַיְבִאֻ֣הוּ אֶל־יֵהוּא֮ [3] Munach Zarqa
וַיְמִיתֻ֒הוּ֒ [2] Segol
 
וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֤י אָֽמְרוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
בֶּן־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט ה֔וּא [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־דָּרַ֥שׁ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־לְבָב֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֵין֙ [3] Pashta
לְבֵ֣ית אֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
לַעְצֹ֥ר כֹּ֖חַ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְמַמְלָכָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 2 3 2 9 He sought Ahaziah, and they caught him (now he was hiding in Samaria), and they brought him to Jehu, and killed him; and they buried him, for they said, “He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart.” The house of Ahaziah had no power to hold the kingdom. ¶ [4]

אֶת־כׇּל־זֶ֥רַע הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְבֵ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 10 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal offspring of the house of Judah. [3]
11 וַתִּקַּח֩ יְהוֹשַׁבְעַ֨ת בַּת־הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
אֶת־יוֹאָ֣שׁ בֶּן־אֲחַזְיָ֗הוּ [3] Munach Revi'a
 
וַתִּגְנֹ֤ב אֹתוֹ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מִתּ֤וֹךְ בְּנֵֽי־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הַמּ֣וּמָתִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וַתִּתֵּ֥ן אֹת֛וֹ [3] Merkha Tevir
וְאֶת־מֵינִקְתּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בַּחֲדַ֣ר הַמִּטּ֑וֹת [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַתַּסְתִּירֵ֡הוּ [4] Pazer
יְהוֹשַׁבְעַ֣ת בַּת־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יְהוֹרָ֡ם [4] Munach Munach Pazer
אֵ֩שֶׁת֩ יְהוֹיָדָ֨ע הַכֹּהֵ֜ן [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
כִּ֣י הִיא֩ הָיְתָ֨ה אֲח֧וֹת אֲחַזְיָ֛הוּ [3] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Darga Tevir
 
מִפְּנֵ֥י עֲתַלְיָ֖הוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
 
וְלֹ֥א הֱמִיתָֽתְהוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 3 2 3 2 3 4 4 4 11 But Jehoshabeath, the king’s daughter, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stealthily rescued him from among the king’s sons who were slain, and put him and his nurse in the bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah, so that she didn’t kill him. [4]
