	¹בִּשְׁנַת֙ [3] Pashta שְׁתֵּ֣ים עֶשְׂרֵ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef לְאָחָ֖ז [2] Tip'cha מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta מָ֠לַ֠ךְ [4] TelishaG הוֹשֵׁ֨עַ בֶּן־אֵלָ֧ה בְשֹׁמְר֛וֹן [3] Qadma Darga Tevir עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha תֵּ֥שַׁע שָׁנִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹In year [3] two and ten [2] of Ahaz [2] king of Judah; [1] he became king, [4] Hoshea son of Elah, in Samaria [3] over Israel [2] for nine years. [1]
	²וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta רַ֗ק [3] Revi'a לֹ֚א [3] Yetiv כְּמַלְכֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָי֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha לְפָנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq		²And he did that which was evil [2] in the eyes of the LORD; [1] only [3] not [3] like the kings of Israel [2] who were [2] before him. [1]
	³עָלָ֣יו עָלָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef שַׁלְמַנְאֶ֖סֶר [2] Tip'cha מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֑וּר [1] Munach Etnachta וַֽיְהִי־ל֤וֹ הוֹשֵׁ֙עַ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עֶ֔בֶד [2] Zaqef וַיָּ֥שֶׁב ל֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִנְחָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		³Against him he came up, [2] Shalmaneser [2] king of Assyria; [1] and Hoshea became to him [3] a subject, [2] and he brought him [2] tribute. [1]
	⁴וַיִּמְצָא֩ מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֨וּר בְּהוֹשֵׁ֜עַ [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh קֶ֗שֶׁר [3] Revi'a אֲשֶׁ֨ר שָׁלַ֤ח מַלְאָכִים֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta אֶל־ס֣וֹא מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Munach Zaqef וְלֹא־הֶעֱלָ֥ה מִנְחָ֛ה [3] Merkha Tevir לְמֶ֥לֶךְ אַשּׁ֖וּר [2] Merkha Tip'cha כְּשָׁנָ֣ה בְשָׁנָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta וַֽיַּעַצְרֵ֙הוּ֙ [3] Pashta מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר [2] Munach Zaqef וַיַּאַסְרֵ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha בֵּ֥ית כֶּֽלֶא׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁴And the king of Assyria found in Hoshea [4] conspiracy, [3] for he had sent messengers [3] to So, king of Egypt, [2] and he had not brought up tribute [3] to the king of Assyria [2] as he had done year by year. [1] So he seized him, [3] the king of Assyria, [2] and he confined him [2] in prison. [1]
	⁵וַיַּ֥עַל מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֖וּר [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּכׇל־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta וַיַּ֙עַל֙ [3] Pashta שֹׁמְר֔וֹן [2] Zaqef וַיָּ֥צַר עָלֶ֖יהָ [2] Merkha Tip'cha שָׁלֹ֥שׁ שָׁנִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁵Then the king of Assyria came up [2] throughout all the land; [1] and he came up [3] to Samaria, [2] and he laid siege on it [2] three years. [1]
	⁶בִּשְׁנַ֨ת הַתְּשִׁעִ֜ית [4] Qadma Geresh לְהוֹשֵׁ֗עַ [3] Revi'a לָכַ֤ד מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֶת־שֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef וַיֶּ֥גֶל אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha אַשּׁ֑וּרָה [1] Etnachta וַיֹּ֨שֶׁב אוֹתָ֜ם [4] Qadma Geresh בַּחְלַ֧ח וּבְחָב֛וֹר [3] Darga Tevir נְהַ֥ר גּוֹזָ֖ן [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְעָרֵ֥י מָדָֽי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ		⁶In the ninth year [4] of Hoshea [3] the king of Assyria captured [3] Samaria, [2] and he took Israel into exile [2] to Assyria; [1] and he made them live [4] in Halah and on the Habor [3] the river of Gozan, [2] and in the cities of the Medes. [1] ¶
	⁷וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'a כִּֽי־חָטְא֤וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לַיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef הַמַּעֲלֶ֤ה אֹתָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Munach Zaqef מִתַּ֕חַת [2] ZaqefG יַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha פַּרְעֹ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Munach Etnachta וַיִּֽירְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁷And it was [3] because the children of Israel had sinned [3] against the LORD their God, [2] who had brought them up [3] from the land of Egypt, [2] from under [2] the hand [2] of Pharaoh king of Egypt; [1] and they had feared [2] other gods; [1]
	⁸וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta בְּחֻקּ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta הוֹרִ֣ישׁ יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef מִפְּנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Munach Etnachta וּמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשֽׂוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁸and they had walked [3] in the customs of the nations, [2] which [3] the LORD had cast out [2] from before [2] the children of Israel; [1] and of the kings of Israel [2] which they had done. [1]
	⁹וַיְחַפְּא֣וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Munach Revi'a דְּבָרִים֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־כֵ֔ן [2] Munach Zaqef עַל־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַיִּבְנ֨וּ לָהֶ֤ם בָּמוֹת֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta בְּכׇל־עָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef מִמִּגְדַּ֥ל נוֹצְרִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha עַד־עִ֥יר מִבְצָֽר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁹And the children of Israel did secretly, [3] things [3] that were not right, [2] against the LORD [2] their God; [1] and they built for themselves high places [3] in all their cities, [2] from a tower of watchmen [2] to a fortified city; [1]
	¹⁰וַיַּצִּ֧בוּ לָהֶ֛ם [3] Darga Tevir מַצֵּב֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha וַאֲשֵׁרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta עַ֚ל [3] Yetiv כׇּל־גִּבְעָ֣ה גְבֹהָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef וְתַ֖חַת [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־עֵ֥ץ רַעֲנָֽן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁰and they set up for themselves [3] sacred pillars, [2] and Asherah poles; [1] on [3] every high hill, [2] and under [2] every green tree; [1]
	¹¹וַיְקַטְּרוּ־שָׁם֙ [3] Pashta בְּכׇל־בָּמ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef כַּגּוֹיִ֕ם [2] ZaqefG אֲשֶׁר־הֶגְלָ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֙ [3] Pashta דְּבָרִ֣ים רָעִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef לְהַכְעִ֖יס [2] Tip'cha אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹and they burned incense there [3] in all the high places, [2] like the nations [2] which the LORD had carried away [2] from before them; [1] and they did [3] evil things [2] to provoke to anger [2] the LORD; [1]
	¹²וַיַּֽעַבְד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha הַגִּלֻּלִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta לָהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֶת־הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹²and they served [2] the idols; [1] of which the LORD had said [3] to them, [2] “You must not do [2] this thing.” [1]
	¹³וַיָּ֣עַד יְהֹוָ֡ה [4] Munach Pazer בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל וּבִיהוּדָ֡ה [4] Munach Pazer בְּיַד֩ כׇּל־נביאו *נְבִיאֵ֨י כׇל־חֹזֶ֜ה [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'a שֻׁ֜֠בוּ [4] TelishaG מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֤ם הָֽרָעִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְשִׁמְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta מִצְוֺתַ֣י חֻקּוֹתַ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef כְּכׇ֨ל־הַתּוֹרָ֔ה [2] Qadma Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּ֖יתִי [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֶת־אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta שָׁלַ֣חְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef בְּיַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha עֲבָדַ֥י הַנְּבִיאִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹³And the LORD gave warning, [4] in Israel and in Judah, [4] by the hand of every prophet, every seer, [4] saying, [3] “Turn back [4] from your evil ways, [3] and keep [3] my commandments, my statutes, [2] according to all the law, [2] which I commanded [2] your fathers, [1] and which [3] I sent to you [2] by the hand [2] of my servants the prophets.” [1]
	¹⁴וְלֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha שָׁמֵ֑עוּ [1] Etnachta וַיַּקְשׁ֤וּ אֶת־עׇרְפָּם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta כְּעֹ֣רֶף אֲבוֹתָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta לֹ֣א הֶאֱמִ֔ינוּ [2] Munach Zaqef בַּֽיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴But not [2] did they listen; [1] and they stiffened their neck [3] like the neck of their fathers, [2] who [3] did not trust [2] in the LORD [2] their God. [1]
	¹⁵וַיִּמְאֲס֣וּ אֶת־חֻקָּ֗יו [3] Munach Revi'a וְאֶת־בְּרִיתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר כָּרַ֣ת אֶת־אֲבוֹתָ֔ם [2] Munach Munach Zaqef וְאֵת֙ [3] Pashta עֵֽדְוֺתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֵעִ֖יד [2] Merkha Tip'cha בָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַיֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ [4] Qadma Geresh אַחֲרֵ֤י הַהֶ֙בֶל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וַיֶּהְבָּ֔לוּ [2] Zaqef וְאַחֲרֵ֤י הַגּוֹיִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר סְבִֽיבֹתָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta אֹתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef לְבִלְתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha עֲשׂ֥וֹת כָּהֶֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁵They rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified to them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them. [3]
	¹⁶וַיַּעַזְב֗וּ [3] Revi'a אֶת־כׇּל־מִצְוֺת֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef וַיַּעֲשׂ֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם [3] Merkha Tevir מַסֵּכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha שנים *שְׁנֵ֣י עֲגָלִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וַיַּעֲשׂ֣וּ אֲשֵׁירָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ֙ [3] Pashta לְכׇל־צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Munach Zaqef וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־הַבָּֽעַל׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁶They abandoned all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made molten images for themselves, even two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served Baal. [3]
	¹⁷וַֽ֠יַּעֲבִ֠ירוּ [4] TelishaG אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶ֤ם וְאֶת־בְּנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta בָּאֵ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef וַיִּקְסְמ֥וּ קְסָמִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha וַיְנַחֵ֑שׁוּ [1] Etnachta וַיִּֽתְמַכְּר֗וּ [3] Revi'a לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת הָרַ֛ע [3] Merkha Tevir בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha לְהַכְעִיסֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷They caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, to provoke him to anger. [4]
	¹⁸וַיִּתְאַנַּ֨ף יְהֹוָ֤ה מְאֹד֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef וַיְסִרֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha מֵעַ֣ל פָּנָ֑יו [1] Munach Etnachta לֹ֣א נִשְׁאַ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef רַ֛ק [3] Tevir שֵׁ֥בֶט יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha לְבַדּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁸Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight. There was none left but the tribe of Judah only. [3]
	¹⁹גַּם־יְהוּדָ֕ה [2] ZaqefG לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef אֶת־מִצְוֺ֖ת [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ [2] Munach Zaqef בְּחֻקּ֥וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשֽׂוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁹Also Judah didn’t keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. [2]
	²⁰וַיִּמְאַ֨ס יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh בְּכׇל־זֶ֤רַע יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וַיְעַנֵּ֔ם [2] Zaqef וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בְּיַד־שֹׁסִ֑ים [1] Etnachta עַ֛ד [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִשְׁלִיכָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִפָּנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq		²⁰The LORD rejected all the offspring of Israel, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hands of raiders, until he had cast them out of his sight. [4]
	²¹כִּֽי־קָרַ֣ע יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Munach Revi'a מֵעַל֙ [3] Pashta בֵּ֣ית דָּוִ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef וַיַּמְלִ֖יכוּ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־יָרׇבְעָ֣ם בֶּן־נְבָ֑ט [1] Munach Etnachta וידא *וַיַּדַּ֨ח יָרׇבְעָ֤ם אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef וְהֶחֱטִיאָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha חֲטָאָ֥ה גְדוֹלָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²¹For he tore Israel from David’s house; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king; and Jeroboam drove Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin. [3]
	²²וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef בְּכׇל־חַטֹּ֥אות יָרׇבְעָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta לֹא־סָ֖רוּ [2] Tip'cha מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq		²²The children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they didn’t depart from them [3]
	²³עַ֠ד [4] TelishaG אֲשֶׁר־הֵסִ֨יר יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta מֵעַ֣ל פָּנָ֔יו [2] Munach Zaqef כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef בְּיַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־עֲבָדָ֣יו הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וַיִּ֨גֶל יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל [4] Qadma Geresh מֵעַ֤ל אַדְמָתוֹ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אַשּׁ֔וּרָה [2] Zaqef עַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ		²³until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he said by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria to this day. ¶ [4]
	²⁴וַיָּבֵ֣א מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֡וּר [4] Munach Pazer מִבָּבֶ֡ל [4] Pazer וּ֠מִכּ֠וּתָה [4] TelishaG וּמֵעַוָּ֤א וּמֵֽחֲמָת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וּסְפַרְוַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וַיֹּ֙שֶׁב֙ [3] Pashta בְּעָרֵ֣י שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef תַּ֖חַת [2] Tip'cha בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Munach Etnachta וַיִּֽרְשׁוּ֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־שֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef וַיֵּֽשְׁב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha בְּעָרֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq		²⁴The king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, from Cuthah, from Avva, and from Hamath and Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel; and they possessed Samaria, and lived in its cities. [4]
	²⁵וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'a בִּתְחִלַּת֙ [3] Pashta שִׁבְתָּ֣ם שָׁ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֥א יָרְא֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וַיְשַׁלַּ֨ח יְהֹוָ֤ה בָּהֶם֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta אֶת־הָ֣אֲרָי֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ הֹרְגִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha בָּהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		²⁵So it was, at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they didn’t fear the LORD. Therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which killed some of them. [3]
	²⁶וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ [3] Revi'a לְמֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁוּר֮ [3] Munach Zarqa לֵאמֹר֒ [2] Segol הַגּוֹיִ֗ם [3] Revi'a אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִגְלִ֙יתָ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וַתּ֙וֹשֶׁב֙ [3] Pashta בְּעָרֵ֣י שֹׁמְר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֣א יָֽדְע֔וּ [2] Munach Zaqef אֶת־מִשְׁפַּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Munach Etnachta וַיְשַׁלַּח־בָּ֣ם אֶת־הָאֲרָי֗וֹת [3] Munach Revi'a וְהִנָּם֙ [3] Pashta מְמִיתִ֣ים אוֹתָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef כַּאֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta אֵינָ֣ם יֹדְעִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef אֶת־מִשְׁפַּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²⁶Therefore they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The nations which you have carried away and placed in the cities of Samaria don’t know the law of the god of the land. Therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they kill them, because they don’t know the law of the god of the land.” ¶ [3]
	²⁷וַיְצַ֨ו מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֜וּר [4] Qadma Geresh לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'a הֹלִ֤יכוּ שָׁ֙מָּה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֶחָ֤ד מֵהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִגְלִיתֶ֣ם מִשָּׁ֔ם [2] Munach Munach Zaqef וְיֵלְכ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha וְיֵ֣שְׁבוּ שָׁ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta וְיֹרֵ֕ם [2] ZaqefG אֶת־מִשְׁפַּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²⁷Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, “Carry there one of the priests whom you brought from there; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the law of the god of the land.” ¶ [4]
	²⁸וַיָּבֹ֞א [4] Gershayim אֶחָ֣ד מֵהַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים [3] Munach Revi'a אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִגְלוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מִשֹּׁ֣מְר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב [2] Tip'cha בְּבֵֽית־אֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta וַֽיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta מוֹרֶ֣ה אֹתָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef אֵ֖יךְ [2] Tip'cha יִֽירְא֥וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²⁸So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and lived in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD. [4]
	²⁹וַיִּהְי֣וּ עֹשִׂ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef גּ֥וֹי גּ֖וֹי [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֱלֹהָ֑יו [1] Etnachta וַיַּנִּ֣יחוּ ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh בְּבֵ֣ית הַבָּמ֗וֹת [3] Munach Revi'a אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta הַשֹּׁ֣מְרֹנִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef גּ֥וֹי גּוֹי֙ [3] Merkha Pashta בְּעָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֛ר [3] Tevir הֵ֥ם יֹשְׁבִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha שָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq		²⁹However every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities in which they lived. [2]
	³⁰וְאַנְשֵׁ֣י בָבֶ֗ל [3] Munach Revi'a עָשׂוּ֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־סֻכּ֣וֹת בְּנ֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וְאַ֨נְשֵׁי־כ֔וּת [2] Qadma Zaqef עָשׂ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־נֵֽרְגַ֑ל [1] Etnachta וְאַנְשֵׁ֥י חֲמָ֖ת [2] Merkha Tip'cha עָשׂ֥וּ אֶת־אֲשִׁימָֽא׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		³⁰The men of Babylon made Succoth Benoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima, [3]
	³¹וְהָעַוִּ֛ים [3] Tevir עָשׂ֥וּ נִבְחַ֖ז [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְאֶת־תַּרְתָּ֑ק [1] Etnachta וְהַסְפַרְוִ֗ים [3] Revi'a שֹׂרְפִ֤ים אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta בָּאֵ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef לְאַדְרַמֶּ֥לֶךְ וַֽעֲנַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אלה אֱלֹהֵ֥י ספרים **סְפַרְוָֽיִם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		³¹and the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak; and the Sepharvites burned their children in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. [3]
	³²וַיִּהְי֥וּ יְרֵאִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וַיַּעֲשׂ֨וּ לָהֶ֤ם מִקְצוֹתָם֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta כֹּהֲנֵ֣י בָמ֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וַיִּהְי֛וּ [3] Tevir עֹשִׂ֥ים לָהֶ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּבֵ֥ית הַבָּמֽוֹת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		³²So they feared the LORD, and also made from among themselves priests of the high places for themselves, who sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. [2]
	³³אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha הָי֣וּ יְרֵאִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וְאֶת־אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta הָי֣וּ עֹֽבְדִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef כְּמִשְׁפַּט֙ [3] Pashta הַגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־הִגְל֥וּ אֹתָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִשָּֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq		³³They feared the LORD, and also served their own gods, after the ways of the nations from among whom they had been carried away. [2]
	³⁴עַ֣ד הַיּ֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta הֵ֣ם עֹשִׂ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef כַּמִּשְׁפָּטִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֵינָ֤ם יְרֵאִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְאֵינָ֣ם עֹשִׂ֗ים [3] Munach Revi'a כְּחֻקֹּתָם֙ [3] Pashta וּכְמִשְׁפָּטָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְכַתּוֹרָ֣ה וְכַמִּצְוָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֥ם שְׁמ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq		³⁴To this day they do what they did before. They don’t fear the LORD, and they do not follow the statutes, or the ordinances, or the law, or the commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; [3]
	³⁵וַיִּכְרֹ֨ת יְהֹוָ֤ה אִתָּם֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta בְּרִ֔ית [2] Zaqef וַיְצַוֵּ֣ם לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֥א תִֽירְא֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וְלֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ לָהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef וְלֹ֣א תַעַבְד֔וּם [2] Munach Zaqef וְלֹ֥א תִזְבְּח֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha לָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		³⁵with whom the LORD had made a covenant, and commanded them, saying, “You shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them; [3]
	³⁶כִּ֣י אִֽם־אֶת־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a אֲשֶׁר֩ הֶעֱלָ֨ה אֶתְכֶ֜ם [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh מֵאֶ֧רֶץ מִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Darga Tevir בְּכֹ֧חַ גָּד֛וֹל [3] Darga Tevir וּבִזְר֥וֹעַ נְטוּיָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֹת֣וֹ תִירָ֑אוּ [1] Munach Etnachta וְל֥וֹ תִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְל֥וֹ תִזְבָּֽחוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		³⁶but you shall fear the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, and you shall bow yourselves to him, and you shall sacrifice to him. [3]
	³⁷וְאֶת־הַחֻקִּ֨ים וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֜ים [4] Qadma Geresh וְהַתּוֹרָ֤ה וְהַמִּצְוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר כָּתַ֣ב לָכֶ֔ם [2] Munach Munach Zaqef תִּשְׁמְר֥וּן לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha כׇּל־הַיָּמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וְלֹ֥א תִֽירְא֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		³⁷The statutes and the ordinances, and the law and the commandment, which he wrote for you, you shall observe to do forever more. You shall not fear other gods. [4]
	³⁸וְהַבְּרִ֛ית [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁר־כָּרַ֥תִּי אִתְּכֶ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha לֹ֣א תִשְׁכָּ֑חוּ [1] Munach Etnachta וְלֹ֥א תִֽירְא֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		³⁸You shall not forget the covenant that I have made with you. You shall not fear other gods. [3]
	³⁹כִּ֛י [3] Tevir אִֽם־אֶת־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha תִּירָ֑אוּ [1] Etnachta וְהוּא֙ [3] Pashta יַצִּ֣יל אֶתְכֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef מִיַּ֖ד [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־אֹיְבֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		³⁹But you shall fear the LORD your God, and he will deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.” [3]
	⁴⁰וְלֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha שָׁמֵ֑עוּ [1] Etnachta כִּ֛י [3] Tevir אִֽם־כְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֥ם הָֽרִאשׁ֖וֹן [2] Merkha Tip'cha הֵ֥ם עֹשִֽׂים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁴⁰However they didn’t listen, but they did what they did before. [2]
	⁴¹וַיִּהְי֣וּ ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh הַגּוֹיִ֣ם הָאֵ֗לֶּה [3] Munach Revi'a יְרֵאִים֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־פְּסִֽילֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha הָי֣וּ עֹֽבְדִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta גַּם־בְּנֵיהֶ֣ם ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh וּבְנֵ֣י בְנֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֤וּ אֲבֹתָם֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta הֵ֣ם עֹשִׂ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef עַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ		⁴¹So these nations feared the LORD, and also served their engraved images. Their children did likewise, and so did their children’s children. They do as their fathers did to this day. ¶ [4]
