1 And David spoke [3] to the LORD [2] of this song, [1] from the hand of all his enemies, [2] and from the hand of Saul, [1] |

| 2 וַיֹּאמַ֑ר [1] Etnachta סַֽלְעִ֥י וּמְצֻדָתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha וּמְפַלְטִי־לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
2 and he said, [1] is my rock and my fortress, [2] and my deliverer, mine, [1] |

| 3 אֱלֹהֵ֥י צוּרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha אֶחֱסֶה־בּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta וְקֶ֣רֶן יִשְׁעִ֗י [3] Revi'i וּמְנוּסִ֔י [2] Zaqef מֵחָמָ֖ס [2] Tip'cha תֹּשִׁעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
3 O God, my rock [2] in whom I take refuge; [1] and the horn of my salvation, [3] and my refuge; [2] from violence [2] you deliver me. [1] |

4 Out of praise [2] I call out to the LORD; [1] I am delivered. [1] |

| 5 כִּ֥י אֲפָפֻ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha מִשְׁבְּרֵי־מָ֑וֶת [1] Etnachta יְבַעֲתֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
5 For they surrounded me [2] the waves of death; [1] they overwhelmed me. [1] |

| 6 חֶבְלֵ֥י שְׁא֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha סַבֻּ֑נִי [1] Etnachta מֹ֥קְשֵׁי מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq |
6 The cords of Sheol [2] they surrounded me; [1] the snares of death. [1] |

| 7 בַּצַּר־לִי֙ [3] Pashta אֶקְרָ֣א יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶקְרָ֑א [1] Etnachta קוֹלִ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּאׇזְנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
7 In my distress [3] I called out to the LORD, [2] I called out; [1] my voice, [2] was in his ears. [1] |

| 8 *ותגעש **וַיִּתְגָּעַ֤שׁ וַתִּרְעַשׁ֙ [3] Pashta הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef יִרְגָּ֑זוּ [1] Etnachta כִּי־חָ֥רָה לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Then it shook and it quaked, [3] the earth; [2] they trembled; [1] because he was angry. [1] |

| 9 עָלָ֤ה עָשָׁן֙ [3] Pashta בְּאַפּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef תֹּאכֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta בָּעֲר֥וּ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
9 Smoke came out [3] of his nostrils; [2] it consumed. [1] they were kindled from it. [1] |

| 10 וַיֵּ֥ט שָׁמַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וַיֵּרַ֑ד [1] Etnachta תַּ֥חַת רַגְלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And he bowed the heavens [2] and he came down; [1] was under his feet. [1] |

| 11 וַיִּרְכַּ֥ב עַל־כְּר֖וּב [2] Tip'cha וַיָּעֹ֑ף [1] Etnachta עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And he rode on a cherub [2] and he flew; [1] on the wings of the wind. [1] |

| 12 וַיָּ֥שֶׁת חֹ֛שֶׁךְ [3] Tevir סְבִיבֹתָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha סֻכּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta עָבֵ֥י שְׁחָקִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And he made darkness [3] around him [2] a canopy; [1] thick clouds of the skies. [1] |

| 13 מִנֹּ֖גַהּ [2] Tip'cha נֶגְדּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta גַּחֲלֵי־אֵֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 From the brightness [2] before him; [1] coals of fire. [1] |

| 14 יַרְעֵ֥ם מִן־שָׁמַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta יִתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
14 He thundered from heaven, [2] the LORD; [1] he uttered his voice. [1] |

| 15 וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח חִצִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וַיְפִיצֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta *ויהמם **וַיָּהֹֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And he sent out arrows [2] and he scattered them; [1] and he confused them. [1] |

| 16 וַיֵּֽרָאוּ֙ [3] Pashta אֲפִ֣קֵי יָ֔ם [2] Zaqef מֹסְד֣וֹת תֵּבֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta מִנִּשְׁמַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha ר֥וּחַ אַפּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And they appeared, [3] the channels of the sea; [2] the foundations of the world; [1] from the blast [2] of the breath of his nostrils. [1] |

| 17 יִשְׁלַ֥ח מִמָּר֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha יִקָּחֵ֑נִי [1] Etnachta מִמַּ֥יִם רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
17 He reached down from on high; [2] he took hold of me; [1] out of many waters. [1] |
|||
| 18 יַצִּילֵ֕נִי [2] ZaqefG מֵאֹיְבִ֖י [2] Tip'cha עָ֑ז [1] Etnachta כִּ֥י אָמְצ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ [1] Silluq |
18 He rescued me [2] from my enemy [2] who was mighty; [1] for they were too strong [2] for me. [1] |

| 19 יְקַדְּמֻ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha בְּי֣וֹם אֵידִ֑י [1] Etnachta מִשְׁעָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
19 They confronted me [2] in the day of my calamity; [1] a support [2] to me. [1] |

| 20 וַיֹּצֵ֥א לַמֶּרְחָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha אֹתִ֑י [1] Etnachta כִּי־חָ֥פֵֽץ בִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
20 And he brought out into a wide-open place, [2] me; [1] for he delighted in me. [1] |

| 21 יִגְמְלֵ֥נִי יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י [1] Etnachta יָשִׁ֥יב לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
21 The LORD dealt with me [2] according to my righteousness; [1] he repaid me. [1] |
|||
| 22 כִּ֥י שָׁמַ֖רְתִּי [2] Tip'cha דַּרְכֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta מֵאֱלֹהָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
22 For I have kept [2] the ways of the LORD; [1] from my God. [1] |
|||
| 23 כִּ֥י כׇל־מִשְׁפָּטָ֖ו [2] Tip'cha לְנֶגְדִּ֑י [1] Etnachta לֹא־אָס֥וּר מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
23 For all his judgements [2] were before me; [1] I didn’t turn aside from them. [1] |
|||
| 24 וָאֶהְיֶ֥ה תָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha ל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta מֵעֲוֺנִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
24 And I have been blameless [2] toward him; [1] from my iniquity. [1] |
|||
| 25 וַיָּ֧שֶׁב יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir לִ֖י [2] Tip'cha כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י [1] Etnachta לְנֶ֥גֶד עֵינָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
25 And the LORD repaid [3] to me [2] according to my righteousness; [1] before his eyes. [1] |
|||
| 26 עִם־חָסִ֖יד [2] Tip'cha תִּתְחַסָּ֑ד [1] Etnachta תִּתַּמָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
26 With the faithful [2] you show yourself faithful; [1] you show yourself blameless. [1] |
|||
| 27 עִם־נָבָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha תִּתָּבָ֑ר [1] Etnachta תִּתַּפָּֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
27 With the purified [2] you show yourself pure; [1] you show yourself shrewd. [1] |
|||
| 28 וְאֶת־עַ֥ם עָנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha תּוֹשִׁ֑יעַ [1] Etnachta תַּשְׁפִּֽיל׃ [1] Silluq |
28 And an afflicted people [2] you save; [1] are on the arrogant - you bring [them] down. [1] |
|||
| 29 כִּֽי־אַתָּ֥ה נֵירִ֖י [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta יַגִּ֥יהַּ חׇשְׁכִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
29 For you are my lamp [2] O LORD; [1] he lights up my darkness. [1] |
|||
| 30 כִּ֥י בְכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אָר֣וּץ גְּד֑וּד [1] Etnachta אֲדַלֶּג־שֽׁוּר׃ [1] Silluq |
30 For by you [2] I advance against a troop; [1] I leap over a wall. [1] |
|||
| 31 הָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha תָּמִ֣ים דַּרְכּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta צְרוּפָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לְכֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha הַֽחֹסִ֥ים בּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
31 As for God, [2] blameless is his way; [1] is refined; [2] to all [2] who take refuge in him. [1] |
|||
| 32 כִּ֥י מִי־אֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha מִבַּלְעֲדֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֥י אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
32 For who is God [2] except the LORD? [1] except our God? [1] |
|||
| 33 הָאֵ֥ל מָֽעוּזִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha חָ֑יִל [1] Etnachta *דרכו **דַּרְכִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
33 God is my place of refuge [2] strong; [1] my way. [1] |
|||
| 34 מְשַׁוֶּ֥ה *רגליו **רַגְלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha כָּאַיָּל֑וֹת [1] Etnachta יַעֲמִדֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
34 He makes my feet [2] like the feet of a deer; [1] he makes me stand firm. [1] |
|||
| 35 מְלַמֵּ֥ד יָדַ֖י [2] Tip'cha לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta זְרֹעֹתָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
35 He trains my hands [2] for battle; [1] my arms. [1] |
|||
| 36 וַתִּתֶּן־לִ֖י [2] Tip'cha מָגֵ֣ן יִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta תַּרְבֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
36 And you have given to me [2] the shield of your salvation; [1] you make me great. [1] |
|||
| 37 תַּרְחִ֥יב צַעֲדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha תַּחְתֵּ֑נִי [1] Etnachta קַרְסֻלָּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
37 You enlarge my steps [2] under me; [1] my feet. [1] |
|||
| 38 אֶרְדְּפָ֥ה אֹיְבַ֖י [2] Tip'cha וָאַשְׁמִידֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta עַד־כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
38 I pursued my enemies [2] and I destroyed them; [1] until they were brought to an end. [1] |
|||
| 39 וָאֲכַלֵּ֥ם וָאֶמְחָצֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וְלֹ֣א יְקוּמ֑וּן [1] Etnachta תַּ֥חַת רַגְלָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
39 And I brought them to an end and I crushed them [2] and they didn't rise; [1] under my feet. [1] |
|||
| 40 וַתַּזְרֵ֥נִי חַ֖יִל [2] Tip'cha לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta תַּחְתֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
40 And you girded me with strength [2] for the battle; [1] under me. [1] |
|||
| 41 וְאֹ֣יְבַ֔י [2] Zaqef תַּ֥תָּה לִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha עֹ֑רֶף [1] Etnachta וָאַצְמִיתֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
41 And my enemies, [2] you gave to me [2] (their) neck; [1] and I destroyed them. [1] |
|||
| 42 יִשְׁע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha וְאֵ֣ין מֹשִׁ֑יעַ [1] Etnachta וְלֹ֥א עָנָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
42 They looked, [2] but there was no deliverer; [1] but he didn’t answer them. [1] |
|||
| 43 וְאֶשְׁחָקֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha כַּעֲפַר־אָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta אֶרְקָעֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
43 And I beat them fine [2] like the dust of the earth; [1] I beat them out. [1] |
|||
| 44 וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵ֔נִי [2] Zaqef מֵרִיבֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha עַמִּ֑י [1] Etnachta לְרֹ֣אשׁ גּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef יַעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
44 And you delivered me [2] from the strivings [2] of my people. [1] to be the head of the nations. [2] they served me. [1] |
|||
| 45 בְּנֵ֥י נֵכָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יִתְכַּחֲשׁוּ־לִ֑י [1] Etnachta יִשָּׁ֥מְעוּ לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
45 The sons of foreigners, [2] they cowered before me; [1] they submitted to me. [1] |
|||
| 46 בְּנֵ֥י נֵכָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יִבֹּ֑לוּ [1] Etnachta מִמִּסְגְּרוֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
46 The sons of foreigners, [2] they lost heart; [1] to come out of their strongholds. [1] |
|||
| 47 חַי־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וּבָר֣וּךְ צוּרִ֑י [1] Etnachta אֱלֹהֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha צ֥וּר יִשְׁעִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
47 The LORD lives! [2] And blessed be my rock! [1] the God [2] of the rock of my salvation; [1] |
|||
| 48 הָאֵ֕ל [2] ZaqefG הַנֹּתֵ֥ן נְקָמֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha לִ֑י [1] Etnachta תַּחְתֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
48 God [2] is the one who gives vengeance [2] to me; [1] under me; [1] |

| 49 וּמוֹצִיאִ֖י [2] Tip'cha מֵאֹֽיְבָ֑י [1] Etnachta תְּר֣וֹמְמֵ֔נִי [2] Zaqef תַּצִּילֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
49 and brings me out [2] from my enemies. [1] you lift me up. [2] you rescue me. [1] |
|||
| 50 עַל־כֵּ֛ן [3] Tevir אֽוֹדְךָ֥ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֲזַמֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
50 Therefore [3] I will give thanks to you O LORD [2] among the nations; [1] I will sing praises; [1] |

| 51 *מגדיל **מִגְדּ֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha יְשׁוּע֣וֹת מַלְכּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta לְדָוִ֥ד וּלְזַרְע֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
51 making great [2] the salvation of his king; [1] to David and to his offspring, [2] forever.” [1] ¶ |
