1 וַיֹּ֨סֶף ע֥וֹד דָּוִ֛ד [3] Qadma Merkha Tevir
אֶת־כׇּל־בָּח֥וּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים אָֽלֶף׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
2 3 1 David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. [3]
2 וַיָּ֣קׇם ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִ֗ד [3] Munach Revi'a
 
וְכׇל־הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתּ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מִֽבַּעֲלֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
לְהַעֲל֣וֹת מִשָּׁ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
אֲר֣וֹן הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָ֣א שֵׁ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a
שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת [3] Munach Darga Tevir
יֹשֵׁ֥ב הַכְּרֻבִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עָלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 3 2 3 3 2 David arose, and went with all the people who were with him, from Baale Judah, to bring up from there God’s ark, which is called by the Name, even the name of the LORD of Hosts who sits above the cherubim. [4]

אֶת־הָעֲגָלָ֥ה חֲדָשָֽׁה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 2 2 3 3 2 3 They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart. [4]

1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 5 David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals. [4]

עַד־גֹּ֣רֶן נָכ֑וֹן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח עֻזָּ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh
אֶל־אֲר֤וֹן הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וַיֹּ֣אחֶז בּ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י שָֽׁמְט֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הַבָּקָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 4 2 6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark, and took hold of it; for the cattle stumbled. [2]
7 וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֤ף יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
בְּעֻזָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּכֵּ֥הוּ שָׁ֛ם [3] Merkha Tevir
הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הַשַּׁ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֣מׇת שָׁ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
עִ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֲר֥וֹן הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 2 7 The LORD’s anger burned against Uzzah; and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark. [3]

עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר פָּרַ֧ץ יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] TelishaQ Qadma Darga Tevir
פֶּ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
בְּעֻזָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקְרָ֞א [4] Gershayim
לַמָּק֤וֹם הַהוּא֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
פֶּ֣רֶץ עֻזָּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
עַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 3 4 2 8 David was displeased, because the LORD had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah, to this day. [2]

1 2 3 2 2 3 9 David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, “How could the LORD’s ark come to me?” [3]

אֶת־אֲר֥וֹן יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha

וַיַּטֵּ֣הוּ דָוִ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef
בֵּ֥ית עֹבֵֽד־אֱדֹ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הַגִּתִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 10 So David would not move the LORD’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house. [3]
11 וַיֵּ֩שֶׁב֩ אֲר֨וֹן יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
בֵּ֣ית עֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֛ם [3] Munach Merkha Tevir
הַגִּתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha

וַיְבָ֧רֶךְ יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
אֶת־עֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְאֶת־כׇּל־בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 3 11 The LORD’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his house. [4]
12 וַיֻּגַּ֗ד [3] Revi'a
לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִד֮ [3] Munach Zarqa
לֵאמֹר֒ [2] Segol
 
בֵּרַ֣ךְ יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a

וְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

1 2 3 3 2 3 3 2 2 3 3 4 12 King David was told, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” ¶So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy. [3]

נֹשְׂאֵ֥י אֲרוֹן־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha

וַיִּזְבַּ֥ח שׁ֖וֹר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וּמְרִֽיא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 13 When those who bore the LORD’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf. [3]

לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta

1 2 3 2 2 14 David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod. [3]

1 2 3 2 2 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the LORD’s ark with shouting, and with the sound of the shofar. ¶ [3]

לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וַתִּ֥בֶז ל֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּלִבָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 4 4 3 3 2 16 As the LORD’s ark came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. [3]

1 2 3 4 3 2 2 2 3 17 They brought in the LORD’s ark, and set it in its place, in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. [4]

מֵהַעֲל֥וֹת הָעוֹלָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְהַשְּׁלָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ אֶת־הָעָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
בְּשֵׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 18 When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of Hosts. [2]

לְמֵאִ֣ישׁ וְעַד־אִשָּׁה֒ [2] Munach Segol

אַמְה֣וֹת עֲבָדָ֔יו [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כְּהִגָּל֥וֹת נִגְל֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אַחַ֥ד הָרֵקִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“How he has honored himself today, [4]
the king of Israel, [3]
 
who has uncovered himself today [3]
in the eyes [3]
of the maids of his servants, [2]
 
as (he) shamelessly uncovers himself, [2]
one of the worthless ones!” [1]

וּמִכׇּל־בֵּית֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
לְצַוֺּ֨ת אֹתִ֥י נָגִ֛יד [3] Qadma Merkha Tevir
עַל־עַ֥ם יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וְשִׂחַקְתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 3 2 3 2 21 David said to Michal, “It was before the LORD, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before the LORD. [3]

מִזֹּ֔את [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָיִ֥יתִי שָׁפָ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha

אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמַ֔רְתְּ [2] Munach Zaqef

אִכָּבֵֽדָה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 22 I will be yet more vile than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honor me.” ¶ [3]
