[1] Silluq |
9 What is the profit [3] of the worker [2] he labors at? [1] |
10 I have seen the task [3] that God has given [3] to the sons of men [2] to be busy with. [1] |
[2] Tip'cha |
11 Everything he has made [2] beautiful in its time; [1] he has set in their heart, [2] so that man should find out [3] which God has done [2] |
12 I know [2] there is nothing better [2] for them; [1] and enjoy good things [2] as long as they live. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 And also that every man [3] should eat and drink, [2] in all his labor; [1] it is. [1] |
14 I know [3] everything God does, [3] it shall endure forever, [2] nothing can be added, [2] nothing can be taken away; [1] that they should fear [2] before him. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 That which is, [3] already has been, [2] already has been; [1] he will seek out what has passed. [1] |
16 And again I have seen [2] under the sun; [1] there was wickedness, [2] there was wickedness. [1] |
17 I, I said [3] in my heart, [2] and the wicked, [2] God; [1] and for every deed [2] there is.” [1] |
18 I, I said [3] in my heart, [2] of the sons of men, [2] God; [1] that animals are they [2] themselves. [1] |
19 For the destiny of the sons of men [4] and the destiny of animals, [3] they have, [2] so the other dies, [2] both have; [1] is none, [2] is futility. [1] |
20 All go [2] to one place; [1] are from the dust, [2] return to dust. [1] |
21 Who knows [3] the spirit [3] of the sons of men, [2] upward; [1] of the animals, [2] down into the earth?” [1] |
22 So I saw [3] that there is nothing better [3] than that a man should be happy [3] in his work, [2] is his portion; [1] to look [2] will be after him? [1] |
