כֹּהֵ֣ן מִדְיָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּנְהַ֤ג אֶת־הַצֹּאן֙ [3] Pashta
אַחַ֣ר הַמִּדְבָּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּבֹ֛א [3] Tevir
אֶל־הַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
חֹרֵֽבָה׃ [1] Silluq

and he led the flock [3]

וְהִנֵּ֤ה הַסְּנֶה֙ [3] Pashta
בֹּעֵ֣ר בָּאֵ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַסְּנֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֵינֶ֥נּוּ אֻכָּֽל׃ [1] Silluq

the angel of the LORD to him, [3]
in a flame of fire [2]
from the midst of a bush; [1]
 
so he looked, [3]
and behold the bush [3]
was burning with fire, [2]
 
yet the bush, [2]
it was not consumed. [1]

אָסֻֽרָה־נָּ֣א וְאֶרְאֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
אֶת־הַמַּרְאֶ֥ה הַגָּדֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
הַזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
מַדּ֖וּעַ [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־יִבְעַ֥ר הַסְּנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“I will turn aside now and see [2]
the great sight, [2]
this; [1]
 
why [2]
the bush is not burned.” [1]
4 וַיַּ֥רְא יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כִּ֣י סָ֣ר לִרְא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקְרָא֩ אֵלָ֨יו אֱלֹהִ֜ים [4] Geresh
מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וַיֹּ֛אמֶר [3] Tevir
מֹשֶׁ֥ה מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
 
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

that he had turned aside to look; [1]
 
God called to him [4]
from the midst of the bush [3]
 
and he said, [3]
“Moses! Moses!” [2]
 
and he answered “Here I am.” [1]
5 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
אַל־תִּקְרַ֣ב הֲלֹ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
שַׁל־נְעָלֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מֵעַ֣ל רַגְלֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֣י הַמָּק֗וֹם [3] Revi'i
אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
עוֹמֵ֣ד עָלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
אַדְמַת־קֹ֖דֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha
הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

“Don’t come near; [1]
 
take off your sandals [3 3]
from your feet, [2]
 
for the place [3]
which you [3]
are standing on, [2]
 
holy ground [2]
it is.” [1]
6 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i
אָנֹכִי֙ [3] Pashta
אֱלֹהֵ֣י אָבִ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
אֱלֹהֵ֧י אַבְרָהָ֛ם [3] Tevir
אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִצְחָ֖ק [2] Tip'cha
וֵאלֹהֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּסְתֵּ֤ר מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
פָּנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֣י יָרֵ֔א [2] Zaqef
מֵהַבִּ֖יט [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

“I [3]
am the God of your father, [2]
 
the God of Abraham, [3]
the God of Isaac, [2]
and the God of Jacob.” [1]
 
So Moses hid [3]
his face, [2]
 
because he was afraid [2]
to look [2]
at God. [1]
7 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
רָאֹ֥ה רָאִ֛יתִי [3] Tevir
אֶת־עֳנִ֥י עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֶת־צַעֲקָתָ֤ם שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ [3 3] Pashta
מִפְּנֵ֣י נֹֽגְשָׂ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י יָדַ֖עְתִּי [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־מַכְאֹבָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

“I have surely seen [3]
the affliction of my people [2]
who are in Egypt; [1]
 
and I have heard their cry of distress [3 3]
because of their taskmasters, [2]
 
for I know [2]
their pains. [1]
8 וָאֵרֵ֞ד [4] Gershayim
לְהַצִּיל֣וֹ ׀ [4] Legarmeh
מִיַּ֣ד מִצְרַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i
 
וּֽלְהַעֲלֹתוֹ֮ [3] Zarqa
מִן־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִוא֒ [2] Segol
 
אֶל־אֶ֤רֶץ טוֹבָה֙ [3] Pashta
וּרְחָבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֶל־אֶ֛רֶץ [3] Tevir
זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
וּדְבָ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta
 
אֶל־מְק֤וֹם הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַחִוִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

from the hand of the Egyptians, [3]
 
and to bring them up [3]

into a land good [3]
and spacious, [2]

to the place of the Canaanite [3]
and the Hittite, [2]
 
and the Amorite [3]
and the Perizzite, [2]
 
and the Hivite [2]
and the Jebusite. [1]
9 וְעַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
 
הִנֵּ֛ה [3] Tevir
צַעֲקַ֥ת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בָּ֣אָה אֵלָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וְגַם־רָאִ֙יתִי֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶת־הַלַּ֔חַץ [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
לֹחֲצִ֥ים אֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

behold [3]
the cry of distress of the children of Israel, [2]
it has come to me; [1]
 
and also I have seen [3 3]
the oppression [2]
 
with which the Egyptians [2]
are oppressing them. [1]
10 וְעַתָּ֣ה לְכָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
וְאֶֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהוֹצֵ֛א [3] Tevir
אֶת־עַמִּ֥י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 10 So come now, [2]
and I will send you [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]
 
to bring out [3]
my people the children of Israel, [2]
from Egypt.” [1]
11 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מִ֣י אָנֹ֔כִי [2] Zaqef
כִּ֥י אֵלֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְכִ֥י אוֹצִ֛יא [3] Tevir
אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

to God, [2]
 
“Who am I, [2]
that I should go [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]
 
and that I should bring out [3]
the children of Israel [2]
from Egypt?” [1]
12 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
כִּֽי־אֶֽהְיֶ֣ה עִמָּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְזֶה־לְּךָ֣ הָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
כִּ֥י אָנֹכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
שְׁלַחְתִּ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
בְּהוֹצִֽיאֲךָ֤ אֶת־הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta
מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
תַּֽעַבְדוּן֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
עַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
הָהָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“I will be with you. [2]
 
And this for you will be the sign, [2]
that I, [2]
I have sent you; [1]
 
when you have brought out the people [3]
from Egypt, [2]
 
you shall worship [3]
God [2]
 
on [2]
this mountain.” [1]
13 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶל־הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֣י בָא֮ [3] Zarqa
אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ [2] Segol
 
וְאָמַרְתִּ֣י לָהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
שְׁלָחַ֣נִי אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָֽמְרוּ־לִ֣י מַה־שְּׁמ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
מָ֥ה אֹמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

to God, [3]
 
“Behold, if I go [3]
to the children of Israel, [2]
 
and I say to them, [2]
‘The God of your fathers, [2]
he has sent me to you;’ [1]
 
and they reply to me, ‘What is his name?’ [2]
what should I say [2]
to them?” [1]
14 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽהְיֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i
כֹּ֤ה תֹאמַר֙ [3] Pashta
לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [2]
 
“I am [2]
who I am;” [1]
 
and he said, [3]
“Thus shall you say [3]
to the children of Israel, [2]
 
‘I am, [2]
he has sent me to you.’ ” [1]
15 וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ ע֨וֹד אֱלֹהִ֜ים [4] Geresh
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
כֹּֽה־תֹאמַר֮ [3] Zarqa
אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ [2] Segol

זֶה־שְּׁמִ֣י לְעֹלָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
וְזֶ֥ה זִכְרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לְדֹ֥ר דֹּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [3]
 
“Thus shall you say [3]
to the children of Israel, [2]
 
‘The LORD, [4]
the God of your fathers, [3]
 
the God of Abraham, [4]
the God of Isaac, [3]
and the God of Jacob, [2]
 
he has sent me to you.’ [1]
 
This is my name forever, [2]
and this is how I am to be remembered [2]
for generation after generation. [1]

נִרְאָ֣ה אֵלַ֔י [2] Zaqef

יִצְחָ֥ק וְיַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
פָּקֹ֤ד פָּקַ֙דְתִּי֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶתְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־הֶעָשׂ֥וּי לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

and say to them, [3]
 
‘The LORD, [4]

“I have been paying close attention to [3 3]
you, [2]
 
and that which is done to you [2]
in Egypt. [1]
17 וָאֹמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i
אַעֲלֶ֣ה אֶתְכֶם֮ [3] Zarqa
מֵעֳנִ֣י מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ [2 2] Segol
 
אֶל־אֶ֤רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י [2] Zaqef

וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֤ם אֵלָיו֙ [3] Pashta
 
יְהֹוָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָֽעִבְרִיִּים֙ [3] Pashta
נִקְרָ֣ה עָלֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
נֵֽלְכָה־נָּ֞א [4] Gershayim
דֶּ֣רֶךְ שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת יָמִים֙ [3] Pashta
בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִזְבְּחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לַֽיהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

to your voice; [1]
 
and you shall go, [4]
you and the elders of Israel, [4]
to the king of Egypt, [3]
 
and you shall say to him, [3]
 
‘The LORD, [4]
the God of the Hebrews, [3]
he has met with us. [2]
 
So [3]
 
let us now go [4]
a journey of three days [3]
into the wilderness, [2]
 
that we may sacrifice [2]
to the LORD our God.’ [1]
19 וַאֲנִ֣י יָדַ֔עְתִּי [2] Zaqef

לֹֽא־יִתֵּ֥ן אֶתְכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
מֶ֥לֶךְ מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
לַהֲלֹ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha
בְּיָ֥ד חֲזָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

he will not permit you, [3]
the king of Egypt, [2]
to go; [1]
 
except [2]
by a mighty hand. [1]
20 וְשָׁלַחְתִּ֤י אֶת־יָדִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְהִכֵּיתִ֣י אֶת־מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
בְּכֹל֙ [3] Pashta
נִפְלְאֹתַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּקִרְבּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
יְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶתְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

and I will strike Egypt [2]
 
with all [3]
my wonders [2]
 
which I will do [2]
among them; [1]
 
and after that, [2]
he will let you go. [1]
21 וְנָתַתִּ֛י [3] Tevir
אֶת־חֵ֥ן הָֽעָם־הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּעֵינֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta
כִּ֣י תֵֽלֵכ֔וּן [2] Zaqef
 
לֹ֥א תֵלְכ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
רֵיקָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 21 And I will grant [3]
this people favor [2]
in the eyes of the Egyptians; [1]
 
so it will be [3]
that when you go, [2]
 
you shall not go [2]
empty-handed. [1]
22 וְשָׁאֲלָ֨ה אִשָּׁ֤ה מִשְּׁכֶנְתָּהּ֙ [3] Pashta
וּמִגָּרַ֣ת בֵּיתָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
כְּלֵי־כֶ֛סֶף [3] Tevir
וּכְלֵ֥י זָהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
וּשְׂמָלֹ֑ת [1] Etnachta
 
וְשַׂמְתֶּ֗ם [3] Revi'i
עַל־בְּנֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
וְעַל־בְּנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִצַּלְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

and of her who visits her house, [2]
 
articles of silver [3]
and articles of gold, [2]
and clothing; [1]
 
and you shall put them [3]
on your sons [3]
and on your daughters, [2]
 
so shall you plunder [2]
the Egyptians.” [1]
