1 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
רְאֵ֛ה [3] Tevir
נְתַתִּ֥יךָ אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לְפַרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַהֲרֹ֥ן אָחִ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
יִהְיֶ֥ה נְבִיאֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [2]
 
“See [3]
I have set you as God [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]
 
and Aaron your brother, [2]
he shall be your prophet. [1]
2 אַתָּ֣ה תְדַבֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲצַוֶּ֑ךָּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַהֲרֹ֤ן אָחִ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְשִׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מֵאַרְצֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 2 2 You, you shall speak [2]

all that I command you; [1]
 
and Aaron your brother, [3 3]
he shall speak to Pharaoh, [2]
 
that he let the children of Israel go [2]
from his land. [1]
3 וַאֲנִ֥י אַקְשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהִרְבֵּיתִ֧י אֶת־אֹתֹתַ֛י [3] Tevir
וְאֶת־מוֹפְתַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 Yet I, I will harden [2]
the heart of Pharaoh; [1]
 
and I will multiply my signs [3]
and my wonders [2]
in the land of Egypt. [1]
4 וְלֹֽא־יִשְׁמַ֤ע אֲלֵכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְנָתַתִּ֥י אֶת־יָדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהוֹצֵאתִ֨י אֶת־צִבְאֹתַ֜י [4] Geresh
אֶת־עַמִּ֤י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
בִּשְׁפָטִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
גְּדֹלִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

Pharaoh, [2]
 
so I will lay my hand [2]
upon Egypt; [1]
 
and I will bring forth my hosts, [4]
my people the children of Israel, [3]
from the land of Egypt, [2]
 
by judgments, [2]
great. [1]
5 וְיָדְע֤וּ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בִּנְטֹתִ֥י אֶת־יָדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עַל־מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהוֹצֵאתִ֥י אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מִתּוֹכָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 5 And the Egyptians shall know [3 3]
that I am the LORD, [2]
 
when I stretch out my hand [2]
against Egypt; [1]
 
and I will bring out the children of Israel [2]
from among them.” [1]
6 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְאַהֲרֹ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֹתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 6 So Moses did, [2]
and Aaron; [1]
 
just as the LORD commanded [3]
them, [2]
so they did. [1]
7 וּמֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
בֶּן־שְׁמֹנִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְאַֽהֲרֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef
בֶּן־שָׁלֹ֥שׁ וּשְׁמֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
שָׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
בְּדַבְּרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

was a son of eighty years, [2]
 
and Aaron [2]
a son of three and eighty [2]
years; [1]
 
when they spoke [2]
to Pharaoh. [1]
8 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 And the LORD spoke [2]
to Moses and to Aaron [2]
saying, [1]
9 כִּי֩ יְדַבֵּ֨ר אֲלֵכֶ֤ם פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
תְּנ֥וּ לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מוֹפֵ֑ת [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן [3] Revi'i
קַ֧ח אֶֽת־מַטְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir
וְהַשְׁלֵ֥ךְ לִפְנֵֽי־פַרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יְהִ֥י לְתַנִּֽין׃ [1] Silluq

saying, [2]
 
‘Prove yourselves with [2]
a miracle;’ [1]
 
then you shall say to Aaron, [3]
‘Take your staff [3]
and throw it down before Pharaoh. [2]
It will become a serpent.’ ” [1]
10 וַיָּבֹ֨א מֹשֶׁ֤ה וְאַהֲרֹן֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּ֣עֲשׂוּ כֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
צִוָּ֣ה יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּשְׁלֵ֨ךְ אַהֲרֹ֜ן [4] Geresh
אֶת־מַטֵּ֗הוּ [3] Revi'i
 
לִפְנֵ֥י פַרְעֹ֛ה [3] Tevir
וְלִפְנֵ֥י עֲבָדָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
 
וַיְהִ֥י לְתַנִּֽין׃ [1] Silluq

to Pharaoh, [2]
 
and they did so, [2]
just as [2]
the LORD had commanded; [1]
 
and Aaron threw down [4]
his staff [3]
 
before Pharaoh [3]
and before his servants, [2]
 
and it became a serpent. [1]
11 וַיִּקְרָא֙ [3] Pashta
גַּם־פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
לַֽחֲכָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְלַֽמְכַשְּׁפִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֨וּ גַם־הֵ֜ם [4] Geresh
חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Tevir
בְּלַהֲטֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq

Pharaoh, also [2]
 
for the wise men [2]
and the sorcerers; [1]
 
and they, they did also, [4]
the magicians of Egypt [3]
by their secret arts, [2]
the same. [1]
12 וַיַּשְׁלִ֙יכוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אִ֣ישׁ מַטֵּ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּהְי֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
לְתַנִּינִ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּבְלַ֥ע מַטֵּֽה־אַהֲרֹ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־מַטֹּתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 12 For they threw down [3 3]
each one his staff, [2]
 
and they became [2]
serpents; [1]
 
but the staff of Aaron swallowed up [2]
their staffs. [1]
13 וַיֶּחֱזַק֙ [3] Pashta
לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

the heart of Pharaoh, [2]
 
so he did not listen [2]
to them; [1]
 
just as [2]
the LORD had said. [1]

14 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כָּבֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
מֵאֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
לְשַׁלַּ֥ח הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 14 Then the LORD said [3]
to Moses, [2]
 
“Stubborn [2]
is the heart of Pharaoh; [1]
 
he refuses [2]
to let the people go. [1]
15 לֵ֣ךְ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֞ה [4] Gershayim
בַּבֹּ֗קֶר [3] Revi'i
 
הִנֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
יֹצֵ֣א הַמַּ֔יְמָה [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִצַּבְתָּ֥ לִקְרָאת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
עַל־שְׂפַ֣ת הַיְאֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַמַּטֶּ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֲשֶׁר־נֶהְפַּ֥ךְ לְנָחָ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
תִּקַּ֥ח בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

in the morning, [3]
 
behold, [3]
he goes out to the water, [2]
 
and you shall stand to meet him [2]
on the bank of the river; [1]
 
and the staff [3]
which was turned into a serpent, [2]
you shall take in your hand. [1]
16 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
 
יְהֹוָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָעִבְרִים֙ [3] Pashta
 
שְׁלָחַ֤נִי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
שַׁלַּח֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־עַמִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְיַֽעַבְדֻ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha
בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְהִנֵּ֥ה לֹא־שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ [2] Tip'cha
עַד־כֹּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

‘The LORD, [4]
the God of the Hebrews, [3]
 
he has sent me to you [3 3]
saying, [2]
 
“Let go [3]
my people, [2]
 
that they may serve me [2]
in the wilderness; [1]
 
and behold you have not listened [2]
up to now.” [1]
17 כֹּ֚ה [3] Yetiv
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בְּזֹ֣את תֵּדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
כִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י [4] Geresh
מַכֶּ֣ה ׀ [4] Legarmeh
בַּמַּטֶּ֣ה אֲשֶׁר־בְּיָדִ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
עַל־הַמַּ֛יִם [3] Tevir
אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּיְאֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
 
וְנֶהֶפְכ֥וּ לְדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

says the LORD, [2]
 
“By this you shall know [2]
that [2]
I am the LORD; [1]
 
behold I [4]
will strike [4]
with the staff which is in my hand [3]
 
the waters [3]
which are in the river, [2]
 
and they shall be turned to blood. [1]
18 וְהַדָּגָ֧ה אֲשֶׁר־בַּיְאֹ֛ר [3] Tevir
תָּמ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha
וּבָאַ֣שׁ הַיְאֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִלְא֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
לִשְׁתּ֥וֹת מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַיְאֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 18 And the fish which are in the river, [3]
they will die, [2]
and the river will stink; [1]
 
and the Egyptians will hate [2]
to drink water [2]
from the river.” ’ ” [1]

19 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
אֱמֹ֣ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֡ן [4] Pazer
קַ֣ח מַטְּךָ֣ וּנְטֵֽה־יָדְךָ֩ עַל־מֵימֵ֨י מִצְרַ֜יִם [4] Geresh
עַֽל־נַהֲרֹתָ֣ם ׀ [4] Legarmeh
עַל־יְאֹרֵיהֶ֣ם וְעַל־אַגְמֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
וְעַ֛ל [3] Tevir
כׇּל־מִקְוֵ֥ה מֵימֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
 
וְיִֽהְיוּ־דָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָ֤יָה דָם֙ [3] Pashta
בְּכׇל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבָעֵצִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וּבָאֲבָנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [3]
 
“Say to Aaron, [4]
‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, [4]
over their rivers, [4]
over their streams and over their pools, [3]
 
and over [3]
all their ponds of water, [2]
 
that they become blood; [1]
 
and there will be blood [3]
throughout all the land of Egypt, [2]
 
even in containers of wood [2]
and in containers of stone.’ ” [1]
20 וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵן֩ מֹשֶׁ֨ה וְאַהֲרֹ֜ן [4] Geresh
כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ [4] Legarmeh
צִוָּ֣ה יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וַיָּ֤רֶם בַּמַּטֶּה֙ [3] Pashta
וַיַּ֤ךְ אֶת־הַמַּ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּיְאֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
לְעֵינֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
וּלְעֵינֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עֲבָדָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּהָ֥פְכ֛וּ [3] Tevir
כׇּל־הַמַּ֥יִם אֲשֶׁר־בַּיְאֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
לְדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

just as [4]
the LORD had commanded, [3]
 
and he lifted up the staff [3]
and he struck the waters [3 3]
which were in the river, [2]
 
in the sight of Pharaoh [2]
and in the sight [2]
of his servants; [1]
 
and they were turned, [3]
all the waters which were in the river, [2]
to blood. [1]
21 וְהַדָּגָ֨ה אֲשֶׁר־בַּיְאֹ֥ר מֵ֙תָה֙ [3 3] Pashta
וַיִּבְאַ֣שׁ הַיְאֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹא־יָכְל֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
לִשְׁתּ֥וֹת מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַיְאֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְהִ֥י הַדָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 21 When the fish that were in the river died [3 3]
the river stank, [2]
 
so that the Egyptians were not able [2]
to drink water [2]
from the river; [1]
 
and the blood [2]
was throughout all the land of Egypt. [1]
22 וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֛ן [3] Tevir
חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
בְּלָטֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֶּחֱזַ֤ק לֵב־פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹא־שָׁמַ֣ע אֲלֵהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 22 But they did the same, [3]
the magicians of Egypt [2]
by their secret arts; [1]
 
so the heart of Pharaoh was hardened [3]
and he did not listen to them, [2]
 
just as [2]
the LORD had said. [1]
23 וַיִּ֣פֶן פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
וַיָּבֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־בֵּית֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־שָׁ֥ת לִבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
גַּם־לָזֹֽאת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 23 And Pharaoh turned [2]
and he went [2]
into his house; [1]
 
and he did not take to heart [2]
even this. [1]
24 וַיַּחְפְּר֧וּ כׇל־מִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Tevir
סְבִיבֹ֥ת הַיְאֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מַ֣יִם לִשְׁתּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָֽכְלוּ֙ [3] Pashta
לִשְׁתֹּ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
מִמֵּימֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הַיְאֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 24 So all the Egyptians dug [3]
around the river [2]
for water to drink; [1]
 
for they were not able [3]
to drink [2]
 
of the water [2]
of the river. [1]
25 וַיִּמָּלֵ֖א [2] Tip'cha
שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
אַחֲרֵ֥י הַכּוֹת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הַיְאֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 25 And were completed [2]
seven days; [1]
 
after the LORD struck [2]
the river. [1]

26 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta

בֹּ֖א [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
כֹּ֚ה [3] Yetiv
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [2]
 
“Go [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]
 
and say to him, [3]
‘Thus [3]
says the LORD, [2]
 
“Let my people go, [2]
that they may serve me. [1]
27 וְאִם־מָאֵ֥ן אַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְשַׁלֵּ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
הִנֵּ֣ה אָנֹכִ֗י [3] Revi'i
נֹגֵ֛ף [3] Tevir
אֶת־כׇּל־גְּבוּלְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בַּֽצְפַרְדְּעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 2 But if you refuse [2]
to let them go; [1]
 
behold I [3]
will strike [3]
your whole land [2]
with frogs. [1]
28 וְשָׁרַ֣ץ הַיְאֹר֮ [3] Zarqa
צְפַרְדְּעִים֒ [2] Segol
 
וְעָלוּ֙ [3] Pashta
וּבָ֣אוּ בְּבֵיתֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וּבַחֲדַ֥ר מִשְׁכָּבְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וְעַל־מִטָּתֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְבֵ֤ית עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וּבְעַמֶּ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְתַנּוּרֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
וּבְמִשְׁאֲרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 2 3 2 3 And the river will swarm with [3]
frogs, [2]
 
and they will go up [3]
and they will come into your house, [2]
 
and into your bedroom [2]
and onto your bed; [1]
 
and into the house of your servants [3 3]
and on your people, [2]
 
and into your ovens [2]
and into your kneading bowls. [1]
29 וּבְכָ֥ה וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וּבְכׇל־עֲבָדֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
יַעֲל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 4 And on you and on your people [2]
and on all your servants; [1]
 
they shall climb up, [2]
the frogs.” ’ ” [1]
