נְטֵ֤ה אֶת־יָדְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּמַטֶּ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
עַ֨ל־הַנְּהָרֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef
עַל־הַיְאֹרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְעַל־הָאֲגַמִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַ֥עַל אֶת־הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [2]
 
“Say to Aaron, [3]
‘Stretch out your hand [3]
with your staff [2]
 
over the rivers, [2]
over the streams, [2]
and over the pools; [1]
 
and cause frogs to come up [2]
on the land of Egypt.’ ” [1]

מֵימֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta

הַצְּפַרְדֵּ֔עַ [2] Zaqef
 
וַתְּכַ֖ס [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

his hand [2]
 
over [2]
the waters of Egypt; [1]
 
and they came up, [3 3]
the frogs, [2]
 
and they covered [2]
the land of Egypt. [1]
3 וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֥ן הַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בְּלָטֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּעֲל֥וּ אֶת־הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 7 But the magicians did the same [2]
by their secret arts; [1]
 
and they brought up frogs [2]
on the land of Egypt. [1]
4 וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֜ה [4] Geresh
לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֗ן [3] Revi'i
 
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַעְתִּ֣ירוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְיָסֵר֙ [3] Pashta
הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מִמֶּ֖נִּי [2] Tip'cha
וּמֵֽעַמִּ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַאֲשַׁלְּחָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְיִזְבְּח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
לַיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“Pray to the LORD, [2]
 
that he take away [3]
the frogs [2]
 
from me [2]
and from my people; [1]
 
then I will let go [3]
the people, [2]
 
that they may sacrifice [2]
to the LORD.” [1]

לְהַכְרִית֙ [3] Pashta
הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מִמְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וּמִבָּתֶּ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
רַ֥ק בַּיְאֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃ [1] Silluq

“Honor yourself over me, [2]
 
as for when [4]
shall I pray for you [3]
 
and for your servants [3 3]
and for your people, [2]
 
to take away [3]
the frogs [2]

and from your houses; [1]
 
only in the river [2]
will they remain.” [1]

כִּדְבָ֣רְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
לְמַ֣עַן תֵּדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
כִּי־אֵ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
כַּיהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

“Tomorrow.” [1]
 
So he said, [3 3]
“Let it be according to your word, [2]
 
that you may know [2]
that there is none [2]
like the LORD our God. [1]
7 וְסָר֣וּ הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
מִמְּךָ֙ [3] Pashta
וּמִבָּ֣תֶּ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֵעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
וּמֵעַמֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
רַ֥ק בַּיְאֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 11 And the frogs shall depart [3]
from you [3]
and from your houses, [2]
 
and from your servants [2]
and from your people; [1]
 
only in the river [2]
shall they remain.” [1]

מֵעִ֣ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּצְעַ֤ק מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
עַל־דְּבַ֥ר הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֥ם לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and Aaron, [2]
from Pharaoh; [1]
 
and Moses cried out [3]
to the LORD [2]
 
concerning the frogs [2]
which he had brought upon Pharaoh. [1]
9 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כִּדְבַ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּמֻ֙תוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מִן־הַבָּתִּ֥ים מִן־הַחֲצֵרֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
וּמִן־הַשָּׂדֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq

according to the word of Moses; [1]
 
and they died, [3 3]
the frogs, [2]
 
from the houses, from the villages [2]
and from the fields. [1]
10 וַיִּצְבְּר֥וּ אֹתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
חֳמָרִ֣ם חֳמָרִ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַתִּבְאַ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 14 And they piled them together [2]
in large heaps; [1]
 
and it stank, [2]
the land. [1]
11 וַיַּ֣רְא פַּרְעֹ֗ה [3] Revi'i
כִּ֤י הָֽיְתָה֙ [3] Pashta
הָֽרְוָחָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַכְבֵּד֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־לִבּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

the relief, [2]
 
he hardened [3]
his heart [2]
 
and he did not listen [2]
to them; [1]

וְהָיָ֥ה לְכִנִּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

“Say [3]
to Aaron, [2]
 
‘Stretch out your staff [2]
and strike [2]
the dust of the earth; [1]
 
and it will become gnats [2]
throughout all the land of Egypt.’ ” [1]
13 וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֗ן [3] Revi'i
וַיֵּט֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן אֶת־יָד֤וֹ בְמַטֵּ֙הוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וַיַּךְ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־עֲפַ֣ר הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
וַתְּהִי֙ [3] Pashta
הַכִּנָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
בָּאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־עֲפַ֥ר הָאָ֛רֶץ [3] Tevir
הָיָ֥ה כִנִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

when Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff, [3 3]
and he struck [3]
the dust of the earth, [2]
 
there were [3]
gnats [2]
 
on man [2]
and on animals; [1]
 
all the dust of the earth [3]
became gnats [2]
throughout all the land of Egypt. [1]
14 וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֨ן הַחַרְטֻמִּ֧ים בְּלָטֵיהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
לְהוֹצִ֥יא אֶת־הַכִּנִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֣א יָכֹ֑לוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַתְּהִי֙ [3] Pashta
הַכִּנָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
בָּאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 18 When the magicians tried the same by their secret arts, [3]
to bring forth gnats, [2]
they were not able; [1]
 
and there were [3]
gnats [2]
 
on man [2]
and on animals. [1]
15 וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ הַֽחַרְטֻמִּם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֶצְבַּ֥ע אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
הִ֑וא [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֶּחֱזַ֤ק לֵב־פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹֽא־שָׁמַ֣ע אֲלֵהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“The finger of God [2]
it is;” [1]
 
but the heart of Pharaoh was hardened [3]
and he did not listen to them, [2]

הִנֵּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יוֹצֵ֣א הַמָּ֑יְמָה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
כֹּ֚ה [3] Yetiv
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שַׁלַּ֥ח עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

“Rise up early in the morning [3 3]
and present yourself [3]
before Pharaoh, [2]
 
behold, [2]
(as) he comes out to the water; [1]

“Let my people go, [2]
that they may serve me. [1]
17 כִּ֣י אִם־אֵינְךָ֮ [3] Zarqa
מְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ אֶת־עַמִּי֒ [2] Segol
 
הִנְנִי֩ מַשְׁלִ֨יחַ בְּךָ֜ [4] Geresh
וּבַעֲבָדֶ֧יךָ וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir
וּבְבָתֶּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הֶעָרֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וּמָ֨לְא֜וּ [4] Geresh
בָּתֵּ֤י מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶת־הֶ֣עָרֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְגַ֥ם הָאֲדָמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֥ם עָלֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

behold I will send on you [4]

the swarm of flies; [1]
 
and they shall be full, [4]

including the ground [2]
that they are on. [1]
18 וְהִפְלֵיתִי֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא [4] Geresh
אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֗שֶׁן [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֤ר עַמִּי֙ [3] Pashta
עֹמֵ֣ד עָלֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
 
לְבִלְתִּ֥י הֱיֽוֹת־שָׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עָרֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֣עַן תֵּדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

the land of Goshen [3]
 
where my people [3]
are dwelling, [2]
 
that there (it) shall not be, [2]
a swarm of flies; [1]
 
that you may know [2]

am in the midst of the earth. [1]
19 וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י פְדֻ֔ת [2] Zaqef
בֵּ֥ין עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וּבֵ֣ין עַמֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
לְמָחָ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הָאֹ֥ת הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 23 And I will make a distinction [2]
between my people [2]
and your people; [1]
 
by tomorrow it shall happen, [2]
this sign.” ’ ” [1]
20 וַיַּ֤עַשׂ יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta

וַיָּבֹא֙ [3] Pashta
עָרֹ֣ב כָּבֵ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּ֥יתָה פַרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וּבֵ֣ית עֲבָדָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְכׇל־אֶ֧רֶץ מִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Tevir
תִּשָּׁחֵ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
מִפְּנֵ֥י הֶעָרֹֽב׃ [1] Silluq

and it came, [3]
a massive swarm of flies [2]
 
to the house of Pharaoh [2]
and the house of his servants; [1]
 
and in all the land of Egypt [3]
the land was ruined [2]
because of the swarm of flies. [1]
21 וַיִּקְרָ֣א פַרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i
לְכ֛וּ [3] Tevir
זִבְח֥וּ לֵאלֹֽהֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

for Moses [2]
and for Aaron; [1]
 
and he said, [3]
“Go [3]
sacrifice to your God, [2]
in the land.” [1]
22 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i
לֹ֤א נָכוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת כֵּ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֚י [3] Yetiv
תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
נִזְבַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
לַיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הֵ֣ן נִזְבַּ֞ח [4] Gershayim
אֶת־תּוֹעֲבַ֥ת מִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Tevir
לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א יִסְקְלֻֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

“Not right (it would be) [3]
to do so, [2]

what is an abomination to the Egyptians [2]
 
we shall sacrifice [2]
to the LORD our God; [1]
 
behold, (if) we sacrifice [4]
what is an abomination to the Egyptians [3]
before their eyes, [2]
will they not stone us? [1]

שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
נֵלֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְזָבַ֙חְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לַֽיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יֹאמַ֥ר אֵלֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

into the wilderness; [1]

בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
רַ֛ק [3] Tevir
הַרְחֵ֥ק לֹא־תַרְחִ֖יקוּ [2] Tip'cha
לָלֶ֑כֶת [1] Etnachta
 
הַעְתִּ֖ירוּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּעֲדִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י [4] Geresh
יוֹצֵ֤א מֵֽעִמָּךְ֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַעְתַּרְתִּ֣י אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְסָ֣ר הֶעָרֹ֗ב [3] Revi'i
מִפַּרְעֹ֛ה [3] Tevir
מֵעֲבָדָ֥יו וּמֵעַמּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מָחָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
רַ֗ק [3] Revi'i
אַל־יֹסֵ֤ף פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
הָתֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
לְבִלְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta
שַׁלַּ֣ח אֶת־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
לִזְבֹּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha

am going out from you, [3]
and I will pray to the LORD, [2]
 
that the swarm of flies he will turn away [3]
from Pharaoh [3]
from his servants and from his people, [2]

let Pharaoh no longer [3]
deal deceitfully, [2]
 
by not [3]
letting the people go [2]
 
sacrifice [2]
to the LORD.” [1]
26 וַיֵּצֵ֥א מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵעִ֣ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 30 Then Moses went out [2]
from Pharaoh; [1]
 
and he prayed [2]
to the LORD. [1]
27 וַיַּ֤עַשׂ יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
כִּדְבַ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּ֙סַר֙ [3 3] Pashta
הֶעָרֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
מִפַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵעֲבָדָ֣יו וּמֵעַמּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
לֹ֥א נִשְׁאַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq

according to the word of Moses, [2]
 
and he turned away [3 3]
