וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

“Go [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]
 
and say to him, [3]
‘Thus says the LORD, [3]
the God of the Hebrews, [2]
 
“Let my people go, [2]
that they may serve me. [1]

אִם־מָאֵ֥ן אַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְשַׁלֵּ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
וְעוֹדְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
מַחֲזִ֥יק בָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

and still you [2]
hold them, [1]
3 הִנֵּ֨ה יַד־יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh

אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בַּסּוּסִ֤ים בַּֽחֲמֹרִים֙ [3] Pashta
בַּגְּמַלִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
בַּבָּקָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וּבַצֹּ֑אן [1] Etnachta
 
דֶּ֖בֶר [2] Tip'cha
כָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq

upon your livestock [3]

on the horses, on the donkeys, [3]
on the camels, [2]
 
on the herds [2]

4 וְהִפְלָ֣ה יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּ֚ין [3] Yetiv
מִקְנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
מִקְנֵ֣ה מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א יָמ֛וּת [3] Tevir
מִכׇּל־לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
דָּבָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 2 3 4 But the LORD will make a distinction [2]
 
between [3]
the livestock of Israel [2]
 
and [2]
the livestock of Egypt; [1]
 
and it shall not die [3]
of all that belongs to the children of Israel, [2]
anything.” ’ ” [1]
5 וַיָּ֥שֶׂם יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מוֹעֵ֣ד לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
מָחָ֗ר [3] Revi'i
יַעֲשֶׂ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

an appointed time saying; [1]
 
“Tomorrow [3]
the LORD shall do [3]
this thing [2]
in the land.” [1]
6 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶת־הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ [3] Pashta
מִֽמׇּחֳרָ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּ֕מׇת [2] ZaqefG
כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מִקְנֵ֣ה מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וּמִמִּקְנֵ֥ה בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־מֵ֥ת אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq

on the next day, [2]
 
and it died, [2]
all [2]
the livestock of Egypt; [1]
 
but of the livestock of the children of Israel [2]
not one died. [1]
7 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
לֹא־מֵ֛ת [3] Tevir
מִמִּקְנֵ֥ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
עַד־אֶחָ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּכְבַּד֙ [3] Pashta
לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

behold [3]
it had not died, [3]
any of the livestock of the Israelites, [2]
even one; [1]
 
but it was stubborn, [3]
the heart of Pharaoh, [2]
 
and he did not let go [2]
the people. [1]
8 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Zarqa
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹן֒ [2] Segol
 
קְח֤וּ לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
מְלֹ֣א חׇפְנֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
פִּ֖יחַ [2] Tip'cha
כִּבְשָׁ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וּזְרָק֥וֹ מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir
הַשָּׁמַ֖יְמָה [2] Tip'cha
לְעֵינֵ֥י פַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses and to Aaron, [2]
 
“Take to you [3]
handfuls [2]
 
of soot [2]
of a furnace; [1]
 
and have Moses throw it [3]
toward the heavens [2]
in the sight of Pharaoh. [1]
9 וְהָיָ֣ה לְאָבָ֔ק [2] Zaqef
עַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֨ה עַל־הָאָדָ֜ם [4] Geresh
וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
לִשְׁחִ֥ין פֹּרֵ֛חַ [3] Tevir
אֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
 
בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

over [2]
all the land of Egypt; [1]
 
and it shall become on man [4]
and on animals, [3]
 
boils breaking out [3]
(in) sores, [2]
 
throughout all the land of Egypt.” [1]

אֶת־פִּ֣יחַ הַכִּבְשָׁ֗ן [3] Revi'i
 
וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙ [3] Pashta
לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּזְרֹ֥ק אֹת֛וֹ [3] Tevir
מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i
שְׁחִין֙ [3] Pashta
אֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
פֹּרֵ֕חַ [2] ZaqefG
בָּאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

before Pharaoh, [2]
 
and when he threw it, [3]
Moses, [2]
toward the heavens; [1]

boils [3]

on man [2]
and on animals. [1]
11 וְלֹֽא־יָכְל֣וּ הַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֗ים [3] Revi'i
לַעֲמֹ֛ד [3] Tevir
לִפְנֵ֥י מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מִפְּנֵ֣י הַשְּׁחִ֑ין [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־הָיָ֣ה הַשְּׁחִ֔ין [2] Zaqef
בַּֽחַרְטֻמִּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וּבְכׇל־מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

to stand [3]
before Moses [2]
because of the boils; [1]
 
for the boils were [2]
on the magicians [2]
and on all the Egyptians. [1]
12 וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר [3] Tevir
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq

the heart of Pharaoh, [2]
 
so he did not listen [2]
to them; [1]
 
just as [3]
the LORD had said [2]

הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם בַּבֹּ֔קֶר [2] Zaqef
וְהִתְיַצֵּ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

“Rise up early in the morning, [2]
and present yourself [2]
before Pharaoh; [1]
 
and say to him, [3]

that they may serve me. [1]

אֶת־כׇּל־מַגֵּפֹתַי֙ [3] Pashta
אֶֽל־לִבְּךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
וּבַעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
וּבְעַמֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
בַּעֲב֣וּר תֵּדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
אֵ֥ין כָּמֹ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

all my plagues [3]
to your heart, [2]
 
and on your servants [2]
and on your people; [1]
 
that you may know [2]

וְאֶֽת־עַמְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בַּדָּ֑בֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וַתִּכָּחֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

I could have stretched out my hand, [2]
 
and I could have struck you [3]
and your people [2]
with plague; [1]
 
and you would have been cut off [2]
from the earth, [1]
16 וְאוּלָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
בַּעֲב֥וּר זֹאת֙ [3] Pashta
הֶעֱמַדְתִּ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
בַּעֲב֖וּר [2] Tip'cha
הַרְאֹתְךָ֣ אֶת־כֹּחִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְמַ֛עַן [3] Tevir
סַפֵּ֥ר שְׁמִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

I have let you stand, [2]
 
in order [2]
to show you my power; [1]
 
and so that [3]
my name may be declared [2]
throughout all the earth. [1]
17 עוֹדְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
מִסְתּוֹלֵ֣ל בְּעַמִּ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
לְבִלְתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
שַׁלְּחָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

exalt yourself over my people; [1]
 
by not [2]
letting them go. [1]
18 הִנְנִ֤י מַמְטִיר֙ [3] Pashta
כָּעֵ֣ת מָחָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
בָּרָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
לְמִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הִוָּסְדָ֖הֿ [2] Tip'cha
וְעַד־עָֽתָּה׃ [1] Silluq

about this time tomorrow, [2]
 
hail, [2]
very heavy; [1]
 
such as has not been [3 3]
in Egypt [2]
 
from the day it was founded [2]
even up to now. [1]

שְׁלַ֤ח הָעֵז֙ [3] Pashta
אֶֽת־מִקְנְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֛ת [3] Tevir
כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־הָאָדָ֨ם וְהַבְּהֵמָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֲשֶֽׁר־יִמָּצֵ֣א בַשָּׂדֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וְלֹ֤א יֵֽאָסֵף֙ [3] Pashta
הַבַּ֔יְתָה [2] Zaqef
 
וְיָרַ֧ד עֲלֵהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
הַבָּרָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
וָמֵֽתוּ׃ [1] Silluq

the word of the LORD [2]
 
among the servants [2]
of Pharaoh; [1]
 
he had (them) flee, [3]
his servants and his livestock, [2]
into the houses. [1]
21 וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־שָׂ֛ם [3] Tevir
לִבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־דְּבַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיַּעֲזֹ֛ב [3] Tevir
אֶת־עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת־מִקְנֵ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq

his servants and his livestock [2]

נְטֵ֤ה אֶת־יָֽדְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וִיהִ֥י בָרָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
עַל־הָאָדָ֣ם וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
וְעַ֛ל [3] Tevir
כׇּל־עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

“Stretch out your hand [3]
to the heavens, [2]
 
and let there be hail [2]
in all the land of Egypt; [1]
 
on man and on livestock [3]
and on [3]
all the vegetation of the field [2]
in the land of Egypt.” [1]
23 וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־מַטֵּ֘הוּ֮ [3 3] Zarqa
עַל־הַשָּׁמַ֒יִם֒ [2 2] Segol
 
וַֽיהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
נָתַ֤ן קֹלֹת֙ [3] Pashta
וּבָרָ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
וַתִּ֥הֲלַךְ אֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
אָ֑רְצָה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּמְטֵ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
בָּרָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

toward the heavens, [2 2]
 
and the LORD, [3]
he sent thunder [3]
and hail, [2]
 
and lightning flashed [2]
to the ground; [1]
 
and the LORD rained down [3]
hail [2]
on the land of Egypt. [1]
24 וַיְהִ֣י בָרָ֔ד [2] Zaqef
וְאֵ֕שׁ [2] ZaqefG
מִתְלַקַּ֖חַת [2] Tip'cha
בְּת֣וֹךְ הַבָּרָ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
אֲ֠שֶׁ֠ר [4 4] TelishaG
לֹֽא־הָיָ֤ה כָמֹ֙הוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta

הָיְתָ֥ה לְגֽוֹי׃ [1] Silluq

with lightning [2]
flashing [2]
in the midst of the hail; [1]
 
was very severe, [2]

there had been none like it [3 3]
in all the land of Egypt [2]

it became a nation. [1]

וְעַד־בְּהֵמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֨ת כׇּל־עֵ֤שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה֙ [3] Pashta
הִכָּ֣ה הַבָּרָ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־כׇּל־עֵ֥ץ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שִׁבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
חָטָ֣אתִי הַפָּ֑עַם [1] Etnachta
 
יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
הַצַּדִּ֔יק [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲנִ֥י וְעַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הָרְשָׁעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

and he called [3]
for Moses and for Aaron, [2]
 
and he said to them, [2]
“I have sinned this time; [1]
 
the LORD [3]
is the righteous one, [2]
 
and I and my people [2]
are the guilty ones. [1]
28 הַעְתִּ֙ירוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְרַ֕ב [2] ZaqefG
 
מִֽהְיֹ֛ת [3] Tevir
קֹלֹ֥ת אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וּבָרָ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
וַאֲשַׁלְּחָ֣ה אֶתְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
וְלֹ֥א תֹסִפ֖וּן [2] Tip'cha
לַעֲמֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq

to the LORD, [2]
 
for too much [2]
 
there has been [3]
of the thunder claps of God [2]
and the hail; [1]
 
and I will let you go, [2]
and you no longer [2]
shall stay.” [1]
29 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ [3] Pashta

אֶפְרֹ֥שׂ אֶת־כַּפַּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
הַקֹּל֣וֹת יֶחְדָּל֗וּן [3] Revi'i
וְהַבָּרָד֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־ע֔וֹד [2] Zaqef
 
לְמַ֣עַן תֵּדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
כִּ֥י לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

Moses, [2]
 
“As soon as I have gone out of [3]
the city, [2]
 
I will spread out my hands [2]
to the LORD; [1]
 
the thunder claps shall cease, [3]
and the hail, [3]
it will not happen any more, [2]
 
that you may know [2]
that the LORD’s [2]
is the earth. [1]
30 וְאַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וַעֲבָדֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
יָדַ֕עְתִּי [2] ZaqefG
 
כִּ֚י [3] Yetiv
טֶ֣רֶם תִּֽירְא֔וּן [2] Zaqef
 
מִפְּנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

and your servants; [1]
 
I know [2]
 
that [3]
you do not yet fear [2]
 
the face of [2]
the LORD God.” [1]
31 וְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֥ה וְהַשְּׂעֹרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נֻכָּ֑תָה [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י הַשְּׂעֹרָה֙ [3] Pashta
אָבִ֔יב [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
גִּבְעֹֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 31 And the flax and the barley, [2]
they were struck; [1]
 
for the barley [3]
was in the ear [2]
 
and the flax [2]
was in bloom. [1]
32 וְהַחִטָּ֥ה וְהַכֻּסֶּ֖מֶת [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֣א נֻכּ֑וּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י אֲפִילֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
הֵֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 32 But the wheat and the spelt, [2]
they were not struck; [1]
 
for late crops [2]
are they. [1]
33 וַיֵּצֵ֨א מֹשֶׁ֜ה [4] Geresh
מֵעִ֤ם פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָעִ֔יר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ כַּפָּ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיַּחְדְּל֤וּ הַקֹּלוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַבָּרָ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
וּמָטָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־נִתַּ֥ךְ אָֽרְצָה׃ [1] Silluq

from Pharaoh [3]
from the city, [2]
 
and he spread out his hands [2]
to the LORD; [1]
 
then the thunder claps ceased [3]
and the hail, [2]
 
and the rain, [2]
it no longer poured out onto the earth. [1]
34 וַיַּ֣רְא פַּרְעֹ֗ה [3] Revi'i
כִּֽי־חָדַ֨ל הַמָּטָ֧ר וְהַבָּרָ֛ד [3] Tevir
וְהַקֹּלֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
וַיֹּ֣סֶף לַחֲטֹ֑א [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּכְבֵּ֥ד לִבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
ה֥וּא וַעֲבָדָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 34 But when Pharaoh saw [3]
that the rain and the hail had ceased [3]
and the thunder claps, [2]
he sinned again; [1]
 
and he hardened his heart, [2]
he and his servants. [1]
35 וַֽיֶּחֱזַק֙ [3] Pashta
לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר [3] Tevir
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq

the heart of Pharaoh, [2]
 
and he did not let go [2]
the children of Israel; [1]
 
just as [3]
the LORD had said [2]
by the hand of Moses. [1]
