1 וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef
בְּאֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
מְגוּרֵ֣י אָבִ֑יו [1] Etnachta

כְּנָֽעַן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 1 And Jacob lived [2]
in the land [2]
of the sojournings of his father; [1]
 
in the land [2]
of Canaan. [1]
2 אֵ֣לֶּה ׀ [4] Legarmeh
תֹּלְד֣וֹת יַעֲקֹ֗ב [3] Revi'i
 
יוֹסֵ֞ף [4] Gershayim
בֶּן־שְׁבַֽע־עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה שָׁנָה֙ [3] Pashta
 
הָיָ֨ה רֹעֶ֤ה אֶת־אֶחָיו֙ [3] Pashta
בַּצֹּ֔אן [2] Zaqef
 
וְה֣וּא נַ֗עַר [3] Revi'i
אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י בִלְהָ֛ה [3] Tevir
וְאֶת־בְּנֵ֥י זִלְפָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נְשֵׁ֣י אָבִ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּבֵ֥א יוֹסֵ֛ף [3] Tevir
אֶת־דִּבָּתָ֥ם רָעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֲבִיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

Joseph, [4]
a son of seven and ten years, [3]
 
he was shepherding with his brothers [3]
at the flock, [2]
 
and he was a boy, [3]
with the sons of Bilhah [3]
and with the sons of Zilpah, [2]
the wives of his father; [1]
 
and Joseph brought [3]
a bad report of them [2]
to their father. [1]

וְעָ֥שָׂה ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha

more than all his sons, [2]
 
because he was a son of old age [2]
for him; [1]
 
and he made for him [2]
a long tunic. [1]

כִּֽי־אֹת֞וֹ [4] Gershayim
אָהַ֤ב אֲבִיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
מִכׇּל־אֶחָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽיִּשְׂנְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א יָכְל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
דַּבְּר֥וֹ לְשָׁלֹֽם׃ [1] Silluq

more than all his brothers, [2]
 
and they hated [2]

and they couldn’t [2]
speak peaceably to him. [1]

וַיּוֹסִ֥פוּ ע֖וֹד [2] Tip'cha

a dream [2]
 
and he told it [2]
to his brothers; [1]
 
and all the more they [2]
hated him. [1]
6 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֕א [2] ZaqefG
הַחֲל֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָלָֽמְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq

to them; [1]
 
“Please hear [2]
this dream [2]
which I have dreamed, [1]
7 וְ֠הִנֵּ֠ה [4 4] TelishaG
אֲנַ֜חְנוּ [4] Geresh
מְאַלְּמִ֤ים אֲלֻמִּים֙ [3] Pashta
בְּת֣וֹךְ הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֛ה [3] Tevir
קָ֥מָה אֲלֻמָּתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְגַם־נִצָּ֑בָה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהִנֵּ֤ה תְסֻבֶּ֙ינָה֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲלֻמֹּ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַתִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖יןָ [2] Tip'cha
לַאֲלֻמָּתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

were binding sheaves [3]
in the middle of the field, [2]
 
and behold [3]
my sheaf arose, [2]
and also it stood upright; [1]
 
and behold they gathered around, [3 3]
your sheaves, [2]
 
and they bowed down [2]
to my sheaf.” [1]

הֲמָלֹ֤ךְ תִּמְלֹךְ֙ [3] Pashta
עָלֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
 
אִם־מָשׁ֥וֹל תִּמְשֹׁ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בָּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּוֹסִ֤פוּ עוֹד֙ [3] Pashta
שְׂנֹ֣א אֹת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
עַל־חֲלֹמֹתָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וְעַל־דְּבָרָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

“Will you indeed reign [3]
over us? [2]
 
Will you indeed have dominion [2]
over us?” [1]
 
And they all the more [3]
hated him [2]
 
for his dreams [2]
and for his words. [1]

וַיְסַפֵּ֥ר אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha

הִנֵּ֨ה חָלַ֤מְתִּֽי חֲלוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
ע֔וֹד [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֧ה הַשֶּׁ֣מֶשׁ וְהַיָּרֵ֗חַ [3] Revi'i
וְאַחַ֤ד עָשָׂר֙ [3] Pashta
כּֽוֹכָבִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

another dream, [2]
 
and he recounted it [2]
to his brothers; [1]
 
and he said, [3]
“Behold I have dreamed a dream [3]
again, [2]
 
and behold the sun and the moon [3]
and one and ten [3]
stars [2]
 
were bowing down [2]
to me.” [1]
10 וַיְסַפֵּ֣ר אֶל־אָבִיו֮ [3] Zarqa

וַיִּגְעַר־בּ֣וֹ אָבִ֔יו [2] Zaqef
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

הַחֲל֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָלָ֑מְתָּ [1] Etnachta
 
הֲב֣וֹא נָב֗וֹא [3] Revi'i

וְאִמְּךָ֣ וְאַחֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֥ת לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אָֽרְצָה׃ [1] Silluq

and to his brothers, [2]
 
and his father rebuked him [2]
and he said to him, [2]
 
“What [3]
is this dream [2]
that you have dreamed? [1]
 
Will we really come, [3]
I [3]
and your mother and your brothers, [2]
 
to bow down to you [2]
to the ground?” [1]
11 וַיְקַנְאוּ־ב֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶחָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָבִ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
שָׁמַ֥ר אֶת־הַדָּבָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 11 And they were jealous of him, [2]
his brothers; [1]
 
but his father, [2]
he kept in mind the matter. [1]
12 וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶחָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
לִרְע֛וֹת [3] Tevir
אֶׄתׄ־צֹ֥אן אֲבִיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בִּשְׁכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

his brothers; [1]
 
to pasture [3]
the flock of their father [2]
at Shechem. [1]
13 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל [4] Geresh
אֶל־יוֹסֵ֗ף [3] Revi'i
 
הֲל֤וֹא אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
רֹעִ֣ים בִּשְׁכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
לְכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶשְׁלָחֲךָ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
הִנֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

to Joseph, [3]
 
“Aren’t your brothers [3 3]
pasturing at Shechem? [2]
 
Come [2]
and I will send you to them.” [1]
 
And he said to him, [2]
“Here I am.” [1]
14 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
לֶךְ־נָ֨א רְאֵ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶת־שְׁל֤וֹם אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְאֶת־שְׁל֣וֹם הַצֹּ֔אן [2] Zaqef
 
וַהֲשִׁבֵ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha
דָּבָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֙הוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מֵעֵ֣מֶק חֶבְר֔וֹן [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּבֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha
שְׁכֶֽמָה׃ [1] Silluq

“Go now, see [4]
the welfare of your brothers, [3 3]
and the welfare of the flock, [2]
 
and bring to me [2]
word.” [1]
 
So he sent him [3 3]
from the valley of Hebron, [2]
 
and he came [2]
to Shechem. [1]
15 וַיִּמְצָאֵ֣הוּ אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef
וְהִנֵּ֥ה תֹעֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁאָלֵ֧הוּ הָאִ֛ישׁ [3] Tevir
לֵאמֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מַה־תְּבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 15 And a man found him, [2]
and behold he was wandering [2]
in the open country; [1]
 
and the man asked him [3]
saying, [2]
“What are you looking for?” [1]
16 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG
אֶת־אַחַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אָנֹכִ֣י מְבַקֵּ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta
 
הַגִּֽידָה־נָּ֣א לִ֔י [2] Zaqef
אֵיפֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הֵ֥ם רֹעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

“My brothers [2]
I am looking for. [1]
 
Tell me please, [2]
where [2]
are they pasturing.” [1]
17 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הָאִישׁ֙ [3] Pashta
נָסְע֣וּ מִזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֤י שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֹֽמְרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
נֵלְכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
דֹּתָ֑יְנָה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta
אַחַ֣ר אֶחָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּמְצָאֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בְּדֹתָֽן׃ [1] Silluq

“They have departed from here, [2]
 
for I heard them [3 3]
saying, [2]
 
‘Let’s go [2]
to Dothan.’ ” [1]
 
And Joseph went [3]
after his brothers, [2]
 
and he found them [2]
at Dothan. [1]
18 וַיִּרְא֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מֵרָחֹ֑ק [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְטֶ֙רֶם֙ [3 3] Pashta
יִקְרַ֣ב אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּֽתְנַכְּל֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לַהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 18 And they saw him [2]
from a distance; [1]
 
and before [3 3]
he came near to them, [2]
 
they conspired against him [2]
to kill him. [1]
19 וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־אָחִ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
הִנֵּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
בַּ֛עַל [3] Tevir
הַחֲלֹמ֥וֹת הַלָּזֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בָּֽא׃ [1] Silluq

to one another; [1]
 
“Behold, [3]
the master [3]
of dreams this, [2]
is coming. [1]
20 וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ [4] Legarmeh
לְכ֣וּ וְנַֽהַרְגֵ֗הוּ [3] Revi'i
 
וְנַשְׁלִכֵ֙הוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּאַחַ֣ד הַבֹּר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וְאָמַ֕רְנוּ [2] ZaqefG
חַיָּ֥ה רָעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִרְאֶ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
מַה־יִּהְי֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
חֲלֹמֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

come and let’s kill him, [3]
 
and let's throw him [3 3]
into one of the pits, [2]
 
and we will say, [2]
‘A wild animal, [2]
it has eaten him.’ [1]
 
And we will see [2]
what will become of [2]
his dreams.” [1]
21 וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע רְאוּבֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef
וַיַּצִּלֵ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
מִיָּדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG
לֹ֥א נַכֶּ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha
נָֽפֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq

and he rescued him [2]
from their hand; [1]
 
and he said, [2]
“Let’s not strike him [2]
of life.” [1]
22 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֣ם ׀ [4] Legarmeh
רְאוּבֵן֮ [3] Zarqa
אַל־תִּשְׁפְּכוּ־דָם֒ [2] Segol
 
הַשְׁלִ֣יכוּ אֹת֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
אֶל־הַבּ֤וֹר הַזֶּה֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְיָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
אַל־תִּשְׁלְחוּ־ב֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֗עַן [3] Revi'i
הַצִּ֤יל אֹתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
מִיָּדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
לַהֲשִׁיב֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אָבִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

Reuben, [3]
“Do not shed blood. [2]
 
Throw him [3]
into this pit [3]
which is in the wilderness, [2]
 
but a hand [2]
do not stretch out on him,” [1]
 
in order [3]
to rescue him [3]
from their hand, [2]
 
to restore him [2]
to his father. [1]
23 וַֽיְהִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־בָּ֥א יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֶחָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּפְשִׁ֤יטוּ אֶת־יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־כֻּתׇּנְתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
אֶת־כְּתֹ֥נֶת הַפַּסִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

when Joseph came [2]
to his brothers; [1]
 
they stripped Joseph [3]
of his tunic, [2]
 
the long tunic [2]
which was on him, [1]
24 וַיִּ֨קָּחֻ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef
וַיַּשְׁלִ֥כוּ אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
הַבֹּ֑רָה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַבּ֣וֹר רֵ֔ק [2] Zaqef
אֵ֥ין בּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

and they threw him [2]
into the pit; [1]
 
and the pit was empty, [2]
there was in it no [2]
water. [1]
25 וַיֵּשְׁבוּ֮ [3] Zarqa
לֶֽאֱכׇל־לֶ֒חֶם֒ [2 2] Segol
 
וַיִּשְׂא֤וּ עֵֽינֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
וַיִּרְא֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
אֹרְחַ֣ת יִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
בָּאָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מִגִּלְעָ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
וּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֣ם נֹֽשְׂאִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
נְכֹאת֙ [3] Pashta
וּצְרִ֣י וָלֹ֔ט [2] Zaqef
 
הוֹלְכִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לְהוֹרִ֥יד מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ [1] Silluq

to eat bread, [2 2]
 
and they lifted up their eyes [3]
and they looked, [2]
 
and behold, [3]
a caravan of Ishmaelites [2]
 
was coming [2]
from Gilead; [1]
 
with their camels carrying [3]
spices [3]
and balm and myrrh, [2]
 
going [2]
to take it down to Egypt. [1]
26 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֶחָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
מַה־בֶּ֗צַע [3] Revi'i
כִּ֤י נַהֲרֹג֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־אָחִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִסִּ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־דָּמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 2 26 And Judah said [2]
to his brothers; [1]
 
“What profit is it [3]
if we kill [3]
our brother [2]
 
and conceal [2]
his blood? [1]
27 לְכ֞וּ [4] Gershayim
וְנִמְכְּרֶ֣נּוּ לַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וְיָדֵ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אַל־תְּהִי־ב֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־אָחִ֥ינוּ בְשָׂרֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
ה֑וּא [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶחָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

and let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites, [3]
 
and our hand, [3 3]
let it not be on him, [2]
 
for our brother, our flesh is [2]

And they listened, [2]

28 וַיַּֽעַבְרוּ֩ אֲנָשִׁ֨ים מִדְיָנִ֜ים [4] Geresh
סֹֽחֲרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וַֽיִּמְשְׁכוּ֙ [3] Pashta
וַיַּֽעֲל֤וּ אֶת־יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta
מִן־הַבּ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּמְכְּר֧וּ אֶת־יוֹסֵ֛ף [3] Tevir
לַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בְּעֶשְׂרִ֣ים כָּ֑סֶף [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּבִ֥יאוּ אֶת־יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ [1] Silluq

who were traders, [3]
 
and they drew [3]
and they lifted up Joseph [3]
from the pit, [2]
 
and they sold Joseph [3]
to the Ishmaelites [2]
for twenty pieces of silver; [1]
 
and they brought Joseph [2]
to Egypt. [1]
29 וַיָּ֤שׇׁב רְאוּבֵן֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הַבּ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֥ה אֵין־יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
בַּבּ֑וֹר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקְרַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־בְּגָדָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

to the pit, [2]
 
and behold, Joseph no longer [2]
was in the pit; [1]
 
and he tore [2]
his clothes. [1]
30 וַיָּ֥שׇׁב אֶל־אֶחָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וַיֹּאמַ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
הַיֶּ֣לֶד אֵינֶ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef
וַאֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אָ֥נָה אֲנִי־בָֽא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 30 And he returned to his brothers [2]
and he said; [1]
 
“The boy is not there, [2]
and I, [2]
where will I go?” [1]
31 וַיִּקְח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־כְּתֹ֣נֶת יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ֙ [3] Pashta
שְׂעִ֣יר עִזִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּטְבְּל֥וּ אֶת־הַכֻּתֹּ֖נֶת [2] Tip'cha
בַּדָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 31 And they took [2]
the tunic of Joseph; [1]
 
and they slaughtered [3]
a male goat, [2]
 
and they dipped the tunic [2]
in the blood. [1]
32 וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֞וּ [4] Gershayim
אֶת־כְּתֹ֣נֶת הַפַּסִּ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וַיָּבִ֙יאוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־אֲבִיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
זֹ֣את מָצָ֑אנוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הַכֶּר־נָ֗א [3] Revi'i
הַכְּתֹ֧נֶת בִּנְךָ֛ [3] Tevir
הִ֖וא [2] Tip'cha
אִם־לֹֽא׃ [1] Silluq

the long tunic, [3]
 
and they brought it [3 3]
to their father, [2]
 
and they said, [2]
“This we have found; [1]
 
Investigate please, [3]
the tunic of your son [3]
is it, [2]
or not?” [1]
33 וַיַּכִּירָ֤הּ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
כְּתֹ֣נֶת בְּנִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
חַיָּ֥ה רָעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ [1] Etnachta
 
טָרֹ֥ף טֹרַ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
יוֹסֵֽף׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 33 And he recognized it and he said, [3 3]
“It is the tunic of my son. [2]
 
A wild animal, [2]
it has eaten him. [1]
 
Surely he has been torn to pieces, [2]
Joseph.” [1]
34 וַיִּקְרַ֤ע יַעֲקֹב֙ [3] Pashta
שִׂמְלֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּ֥שֶׂם שַׂ֖ק [2] Tip'cha
בְּמׇתְנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתְאַבֵּ֥ל עַל־בְּנ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
יָמִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 34 And Jacob tore [3]
his clothes, [2]
 
and he put sackcloth [2]
on his loins; [1]
 
and he mourned for his son [2]
many days. [1]
35 וַיָּקֻ֩מוּ֩ כׇל־בָּנָ֨יו וְכׇל־בְּנֹתָ֜יו [4] Geresh
לְנַחֲמ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
וַיְמָאֵן֙ [3] Pashta
לְהִתְנַחֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG
 
כִּֽי־אֵרֵ֧ד אֶל־בְּנִ֛י [3] Tevir
אָבֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
שְׁאֹ֑לָה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אָבִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

to comfort him, [3]
 
but he refused [3]
to be comforted, [2]
 
and he said, [2]
 
“For I will go down to my son [3]
mourning, [2]
to Sheol.” [1]
 
And he wept for him, [2]
his father. [1]
36 וְהַ֨מְּדָנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
מָכְר֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
לְפֽוֹטִיפַר֙ [3] Pashta
סְרִ֣יס פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שַׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
הַטַּבָּחִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
