1 תֶּאְשַׁם֙ [3] Pashta
שֹׁמְר֔וֹן [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י מָרְתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בֵּאלֹהֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
בַּחֶ֣רֶב יִפֹּ֔לוּ [2] Zaqef
עֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם יְרֻטָּ֔שׁוּ [2] Zaqef
וְהָרִיּוֹתָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
יְבֻקָּֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq

Samaria, [2]
 
for she has rebelled [2]
against her God. [1]
 
By the sword they will fall. [2]
Their children will be dashed in pieces, [2]
and their pregnant women, [2]
they will be ripped open. [1]

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef

יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י כָשַׁ֖לְתָּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּעֲוֺנֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

the LORD your God; [1]
 
for you have stumbled [2]
in your iniquity. [1]
3 קְח֤וּ עִמָּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
דְּבָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְשׁ֖וּבוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אִמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
כׇּל־תִּשָּׂ֤א עָוֺן֙ [3] Pashta
וְקַח־ט֔וֹב [2] Zaqef
 
וּֽנְשַׁלְּמָ֥ה פָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
שְׂפָתֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

to the LORD. [1]
 
Say to him, [3]
“Forgive every iniquity, [3]
and accept what is good, [2]
 
so we may repay with offerings [2]
of our lips. [1]
4 אַשּׁ֣וּר ׀ [4] Legarmeh
לֹ֣א יוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נוּ [3] Revi'i
 
עַל־סוּס֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א נִרְכָּ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹא־נֹ֥אמַר ע֛וֹד [3] Tevir
אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
לְמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁר־בְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
יְרֻחַ֥ם יָתֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

it will not save us, [3]
 
on horses [3]
we will not ride, [2]
 
and we will never again say [3]
‘Our gods!’ [2]
to the work of our hands; [1]
 
for in you [2]
the fatherless finds mercy. [1]

מְשׁ֣וּבָתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אֹהֲבֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
נְדָבָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
שָׁ֥ב אַפִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq

their waywardness, [2]
 
I will love them [2]
freely; [1]
 
for [3]
my anger has turned away [2]
from him. [1]
6 אֶהְיֶ֤ה כַטַּל֙ [3] Pashta
לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
יִפְרַ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
כַּשּׁוֹשַׁנָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְיַ֥ךְ שׇׁרָשָׁ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
כַּלְּבָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

to Israel, [2]
 
he will blossom [2]
like the lily; [1]
 
and send down his roots [2]
like Lebanon. [1]
7 יֵֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta
יֹֽנְקוֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וִיהִ֥י כַזַּ֖יִת [2] Tip'cha
הוֹד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְרֵ֥יחַֽ ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
כַּלְּבָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

his tender shoots, [2]
 
and it will be like the olive tree, [2]
his beauty; [1]
 
and his fragrance [2]
like Lebanon. [1]
8 יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
יֹשְׁבֵ֣י בְצִלּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
יְחַיּ֥וּ דָגָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
וְיִפְרְח֣וּ כַגָּ֑פֶן [1] Etnachta
 
זִכְר֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
כְּיֵ֥ין לְבָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

those who dwell in his shade. [2]
 
They will grow grain, [2]
and they will bud like a vine. [1]
 
Their renown [2]
will be like the wine of Lebanon. [1]
9 אֶפְרַ֕יִם [2] ZaqefG
מַה־לִּ֥י ע֖וֹד [2] Tip'cha
לָעֲצַבִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
אֲנִ֧י עָנִ֣יתִי וַאֲשׁוּרֶ֗נּוּ [3] Revi'i
אֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
כִּבְר֣וֹשׁ רַעֲנָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
מִמֶּ֖נִּי [2] Tip'cha
פֶּרְיְךָ֥ נִמְצָֽא׃ [1] Silluq

what have I to do any more [2]
with idols? [1]
 
It is I who answer, and I will watch over (you). [3]
I [3]
am like a flourishing cypress tree. [2]
 
From me [2]
your fruit will be found.” [1]

וְיָ֣בֵֽן אֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef
 
נָב֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
וְיֵדָעֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יְשָׁרִ֞ים [4] Gershayim
דַּרְכֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וְצַדִּקִים֙ [3] Pashta
יֵ֣לְכוּ בָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּפֹשְׁעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יִכָּ֥שְׁלוּ בָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

that he may understand these things? [2]
 
discerning, [2]
that he may know them? [1]
 
For upright [4]
are the ways of the LORD, [3]
 
and the righteous, [3]
they walk in them, [2]
 
But the rebellious, [2]
they stumble in them. [1]
