16 She will be held guilty, [3] Samaria, [2] against her God. [1] Their children will be dashed in pieces, [2] and their pregnant women, [2] they will be ripped open. [1] ¶ |

1 Return [3] O Israel, [2] the LORD your God; [1] in your iniquity. [1] |

2 Take with you [3] words, [2] to the LORD. [1] “Forgive every iniquity, [3] and accept what is good, [2] of our lips. [1] |

4 אַשּׁ֣וּר ׀ [4] Legarmeh לֹ֣א יוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נוּ [3] Revi'i לֹ֣א נִרְכָּ֔ב [2] Zaqef אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha לְמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta יְרֻחַ֥ם יָתֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Assyria, [4] it will not save us, [3] we will not ride, [2] ‘Our gods!’ [2] to the work of our hands; [1] the fatherless finds mercy. [1] |

4 I will heal [3] their waywardness, [2] freely; [1] my anger has turned away [2] from him. [1] |

5 I will be like the dew [3] to Israel, [2] like the lily; [1] like Lebanon. [1] |

7 יֵֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta יֹֽנְקוֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef הוֹד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta כַּלְּבָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq |
6 They will spread out, [3] his tender shoots, [2] his beauty; [1] like Lebanon. [1] |

8 יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta יֹשְׁבֵ֣י בְצִלּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וְיִפְרְח֣וּ כַגָּ֑פֶן [1] Etnachta כְּיֵ֥ין לְבָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq |
7 They will return, [3 3] those who dwell in his shade. [2] and they will bud like a vine. [1] will be like the wine of Lebanon. [1] |

8 O Ephraim, [2] what have I to do any more [2] with idols? [1] I [3] am like a flourishing cypress tree. [2] your fruit will be found.” [1] |

9 Who is wise, [3] that he may understand these things? [2] that he may know them? [1] are the ways of the LORD, [3] they walk in them, [2] they stumble in them. [1] |
