	¹מַשָּׂ֖א [2] Tip'cha בָּבֶ֑ל [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָזָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef יְשַֽׁעְיָ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha בֶּן־אָמֽוֹץ׃ [1] Silluq		¹The burden [2] of Babylon; [1] which he saw, [2] Isaiah [2] son of Amoz. [1]
	²עַ֤ל הַר־נִשְׁפֶּה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta שְֽׂאוּ־נֵ֔ס [2] Zaqef הָרִ֥ימוּ ק֖וֹל [2] Merkha Tip'cha לָהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta הָנִ֣יפוּ יָ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef וְיָבֹ֖אוּ [2] Tip'cha פִּתְחֵ֥י נְדִיבִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²On a bare mountain [3] lift up a banner, [2] raise a voice [2] to them; [1] wave a hand [2] so that they may enter [2] the gates of the nobles. [1]
	³אֲנִ֥י צִוֵּ֖יתִי [2] Merkha Tip'cha לִמְקֻדָּשָׁ֑י [1] Etnachta גַּ֣ם קָרָ֤אתִי גִבּוֹרַי֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta לְאַפִּ֔י [2] Zaqef עַלִּיזֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha גַּֽאֲוָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq		³I, I have commanded [2] my consecrated ones; [1] and I have called my mighty ones [3] for my fury, [2] the exulting ones [2] of my pride. [1]
	⁴ק֥וֹל הָמ֛וֹן [3] Merkha Tevir בֶּהָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha דְּמ֣וּת עַם־רָ֑ב [1] Munach Etnachta ק֠וֹל [4] TelishaG שְׁא֞וֹן [4] Gershayim מַמְלְכ֤וֹת גּוֹיִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta נֶֽאֱסָפִ֔ים [2] Zaqef יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef מְפַקֵּ֖ד [2] Tip'cha צְבָ֥א מִלְחָמָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁴A sound of tumult [3] in the mountains, [2] like that of many people; [1] a sound [4] of uproar [4] of kingdoms, of nations [3] gathered! [2] The LORD of Hosts [2] is mustering [2] the army for battle. [1]
	⁵בָּאִ֛ים [3] Tevir מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מֶרְחָ֖ק [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִקְצֵ֣ה הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Munach Etnachta יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta וּכְלֵ֣י זַעְמ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef לְחַבֵּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq ס		⁵Coming [3] from a far country, [2] from the end of the heavens; [1] the LORD [3] and the weapons of his wrath, [2] to destroy [2] the whole land. 	⁶הֵילִ֕ילוּ [2] ZaqefG כִּ֥י קָר֖וֹב [2] Merkha Tip'cha י֣וֹם יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta כְּשֹׁ֖ד [2] Tip'cha מִשַּׁדַּ֥י יָבֽוֹא׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁶Wail, [2] for near [2] is the day of the LORD! [1] as destruction [2] from the Almighty, it will come. [1]
	⁷עַל־כֵּ֖ן [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־יָדַ֣יִם תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה [1] Munach Etnachta וְכׇל־לְבַ֥ב אֱנ֖וֹשׁ [2] Merkha Tip'cha יִמָּֽס׃ [1] Silluq		⁷Therefore [2] all hands will fall limp; [1] and every man’s heart, [2] it will melt. [1]
	⁸וְֽנִבְהָ֓לוּ ׀ [2] Shalshelet צִירִ֤ים וַֽחֲבָלִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יֹֽאחֵז֔וּן [2] Zaqef כַּיּוֹלֵדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יְחִיל֑וּן [1] Etnachta אִ֤ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יִתְמָ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef פְּנֵ֥י לְהָבִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		⁸And they will be terrified, [2] pain and anguish, [3] they will take hold of them, [2] as a woman in labor [2] they will writhe; [1] at one another [3] they will look aghast, [2] faces aflame, [2] their faces will be. [1]
	⁹הִנֵּ֤ה יוֹם־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta בָּ֔א [2] Zaqef אַכְזָרִ֥י וְעֶבְרָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha וַחֲר֣וֹן אָ֑ף [1] Munach Etnachta לָשׂ֤וּם הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לְשַׁמָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְחַטָּאֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha יַשְׁמִ֥יד מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁹Behold, the day of the LORD [3] is coming, [2] cruel, full of wrath [2] and fierce fury; [1] to make the earth [3] a desolation, [2] and its sinners, [2] he will destroy from it. [1]
	¹⁰כִּֽי־כוֹכְבֵ֤י הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וּכְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֥א יָהֵ֖לּוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אוֹרָ֑ם [1] Etnachta חָשַׁ֤ךְ הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta בְּצֵאת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וְיָרֵ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha לֹֽא־יַגִּ֥יהַּ אוֹרֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁰For the stars of the heavens [3] and their constellations, [2] they will not give [2] their light; [1] the sun will be darkened [3] when it rises, [2] and the moon, [2] it will not give its light. [1]
	¹¹וּפָקַדְתִּ֤י עַל־תֵּבֵל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta רָעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְעַל־רְשָׁעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha עֲוֺנָ֑ם [1] Etnachta וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ [3] Pashta גְּא֣וֹן זֵדִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef וְגַאֲוַ֥ת עָרִיצִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha אַשְׁפִּֽיל׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹And I will punish the world [3] for evil, [2] and the wicked [2] for their iniquity; [1] and I will put an end to [3] the arrogance of the proud, [2] and the haughtiness of the ruthless [2] I will lay low. [1]
	¹²אוֹקִ֥יר אֱנ֖וֹשׁ [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִפָּ֑ז [1] Etnachta וְאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha מִכֶּ֥תֶם אוֹפִֽיר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹²I will make people scarce [2] more than fine gold; [1] and man [2] more than the gold of Ophir. [1]
	¹³עַל־כֵּן֙ [3] Pashta שָׁמַ֣יִם אַרְגִּ֔יז [2] Munach Zaqef וְתִרְעַ֥שׁ הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Merkha Tip'cha מִמְּקוֹמָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta בְּעֶבְרַת֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וּבְי֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha חֲר֥וֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹³Therefore [3] I will make the heavens tremble, [2] and the earth will shake [2] from its place; [1] in the wrath [3] of the LORD of Hosts, [2] and in the day [2] of his fierce fury. [1]
	¹⁴וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta כִּצְבִ֣י מֻדָּ֔ח [2] Munach Zaqef וּכְצֹ֖אן [2] Tip'cha וְאֵ֣ין מְקַבֵּ֑ץ [1] Munach Etnachta אִ֤ישׁ אֶל־עַמּוֹ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יִפְנ֔וּ [2] Zaqef וְאִ֥ישׁ אֶל־אַרְצ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha יָנֽוּסוּ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴And it will be [3] like a hunted gazelle, [2] or like sheep [2] that no one gathers; [1] each to his own people [3] they will return, [2] and each to his own land [2] they will flee. [1]
	¹⁵כׇּל־הַנִּמְצָ֖א [2] Tip'cha יִדָּקֵ֑ר [1] Etnachta וְכׇל־הַנִּסְפֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יִפּ֥וֹל בֶּחָֽרֶב׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁵Everyone who is found, [2] he will be thrust through; [1] and everyone who is caught, [2] he will fall by the sword. [1]
	¹⁶וְעֹלְלֵיהֶ֥ם יְרֻטְּשׁ֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha לְעֵינֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta יִשַּׁ֙סּוּ֙ [3] Pashta בָּתֵּיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef וּנְשֵׁיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha תשגלנה *תִּשָּׁכַֽבְנָה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁶And their infants will be dashed in pieces [2] before their eyes; [1] they will be plundered, [3] their houses, [2] and their wives, [2] they will be raped. [1]
	¹⁷הִנְנִ֛י [3] Tevir מֵעִ֥יר עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֶת־מָדָ֑י [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר־כֶּ֙סֶף֙ [3] Pashta לֹ֣א יַחְשֹׁ֔בוּ [2] Munach Zaqef וְזָהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha לֹ֥א יַחְפְּצוּ־בֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁷Behold I [3] will stir up against them [2] the Medes; [1] who silver, [3] they will not value, [2] and gold, [2] they will not delight in it. [1]
	¹⁸וּקְשָׁת֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha נְעָרִ֣ים תְּרַטַּ֑שְׁנָה [1] Munach Etnachta וּפְרִי־בֶ֙טֶן֙ [3] Pashta לֹ֣א יְרַחֵ֔מוּ [2] Munach Zaqef עַל־בָּנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לֹא־תָח֥וּס עֵינָֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁸And bows, [2] they will cut down the young men; [1] and the fruit of the womb [3] they shall have no compassion on, [2] on children [2] their eye will not look with pity. [1]
	¹⁹וְהָיְתָ֤ה בָבֶל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta צְבִ֣י מַמְלָכ֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת [2] Tip'cha גְּא֣וֹן כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֣ת אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef אֶת־סְדֹ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־עֲמֹרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁹So Babylon will be, [3] the glory of kingdoms, [2] the splendor [2] of the pride of the Chaldeans; [1] just as when God overthrew [2] Sodom [2] and Gomorrah. [1]
	²⁰לֹא־תֵשֵׁ֣ב לָנֶ֔צַח [2] Munach Zaqef וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁכֹּ֖ן [2] Merkha Tip'cha עַד־דּ֣וֹר וָד֑וֹר [1] Munach Etnachta וְלֹא־יַהֵ֥ל שָׁם֙ [3] Merkha Pashta עֲרָבִ֔י [2] Zaqef וְרֹעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לֹא־יַרְבִּ֥צוּ שָֽׁם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²⁰It will never be inhabited, [2] and it will not be dwelt in [2] from generation to generation; [1] and he will not pitch a tent there, [3] an Arab, [2] and shepherds, [2] they will not let flocks lie there. [1]
	²¹וְרָבְצוּ־שָׁ֣ם צִיִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef וּמָלְא֥וּ בָתֵּיהֶ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֹחִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וְשָׁ֤כְנוּ שָׁם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta בְּנ֣וֹת יַעֲנָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef וּשְׂעִירִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha יְרַקְּדוּ־שָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq		²¹But desert creatures will lie there, [2] and their houses will be full [2] of owls; [1] and they will dwell there, [3] ostriches, [2] and wild goats, [2] they will frolic there. [1]
	²²וְעָנָ֤ה אִיִּים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta בְּאַלְמְנוֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וְתַנִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בְּהֵ֣יכְלֵי עֹ֑נֶג [1] Munach Etnachta וְקָר֤וֹב לָבוֹא֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עִתָּ֔הּ [2] Zaqef וְיָמֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha לֹ֥א יִמָּשֵֽׁכוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²²And hyenas will howl [3] in their citadels, [2] and jackals [2] in the luxurious palaces; [1] and near to come [3] is her time, [2] and her days, [2] they will not be prolonged. [1]
