ישעה 16 Isaiah 16
1 שִׁלְחוּ־כַ֥ר מֹשֵֽׁל־אֶ֖רֶץ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִסֶּ֣לַע מִדְבָּ֑רָה [1] Munach Etnachta

אֶל־הַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
בַּת־צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 1 Send lambs to the ruler of the land, [2]
from Selah in the desert; [1]

to the mountain [2]
of the daughter of Zion. [1]
2 וְהָיָ֥ה כְעוֹף־נוֹדֵ֖ד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
קֵ֣ן מְשֻׁלָּ֑ח [1] Munach Etnachta

תִּֽהְיֶ֙ינָה֙ [3] Pashta
בְּנ֣וֹת מוֹאָ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef

מַעְבָּרֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
לְאַרְנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 2 For it will be that like fluttering birds [2]
scattered from a nest; [1]

they will be, [3]
the daughters of Moab [2]

at the fords [2]
of Arnon. [1]
3 *הביאו **הָבִ֤יאִי עֵצָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עֲשׂ֣וּ פְלִילָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef

שִׁ֧יתִי כַלַּ֛יִל [3] Darga Tevir
צִלֵּ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
בְּת֣וֹךְ צׇהֳרָ֑יִם [1] Munach Etnachta

סַתְּרִי֙ [3] Pashta
נִדָּחִ֔ים [2] Zaqef

נֹדֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
אַל־תְּגַלִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 2 3 Give counsel, [3]
execute justice, [2]

cast like the night [3]
your shadow [2]
at the height of noonday; [1]

hide [3]
the refugees, [2]

the fugitive [2]
do not betray, [1]
4 יָג֤וּרוּ בָךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
נִדָּחַ֔י [2] Zaqef

מוֹאָ֛ב [3] Tevir
הֱוִי־סֵ֥תֶר לָ֖מוֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִפְּנֵ֣י שׁוֹדֵ֑ד [1] Munach Etnachta

כִּֽי־אָפֵ֤ס הַמֵּץ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כָּ֣לָה שֹׁ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef

תַּ֥מּוּ רֹמֵ֖ס [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
ס
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 2 4 let them stay with you, [3]
my refugees, [2]

Moab, [3]
be a hiding place for them, [2]
from the face of the destroyer; [1]

for the extortion has come to an end, [3]
devastation ceases, [2]

oppressors are gone [2]
from the land. [1]
§
5 וְהוּכַ֤ן בַּחֶ֙סֶד֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כִּסֵּ֔א [2] Zaqef

וְיָשַׁ֥ב עָלָ֛יו [3] Merkha Tevir
בֶּאֱמֶ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֹ֣הֶל דָּוִ֑ד [1] Munach Etnachta

שֹׁפֵ֛ט [3] Tevir
וְדֹרֵ֥שׁ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וּמְהִ֥ר צֶֽדֶק׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 5 And it will be established in lovingkindness, [3]
a throne, [2]

and he will sit on it [3]
in faithfulness, [2]
in the tent of David; [1]

one who judges [3]
and who seeks justice, [2]
and is swift to do righteousness. [1]
6 שָׁמַ֥עְנוּ גְאוֹן־מוֹאָ֖ב [2] Merkha Tip'cha
גֵּ֣א מְאֹ֑ד [1] Munach Etnachta

גַּאֲוָת֧וֹ וּגְאוֹנ֛וֹ [3] Darga Tevir
וְעֶבְרָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־כֵ֥ן בַּדָּֽיו׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 3 6 We have heard of the pride of Moab, [2]
very proud; [1]

his haughtiness and his arrogance [3]
and his insolence, [2]
false are his empty boasts. [1]
7 לָכֵ֗ן [3] Revi'a
יְיֵלִ֥יל מוֹאָ֛ב [3] Merkha Tevir
לְמוֹאָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
כֻּלֹּ֣ה יְיֵלִ֑יל [1] Munach Etnachta

לַאֲשִׁישֵׁ֧י קִיר־חֲרֶ֛שֶׂת [3] Darga Tevir
תֶּהְגּ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אַךְ־נְכָאִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 7 Therefore [3]
Moab will wail [3]
for Moab, [2]
everyone will wail; [1]

for the raisin cakes of Kir Hareseth [3]
you will moan, [2]
utterly stricken. [1]
8 כִּ֣י שַׁדְמוֹת֩ חֶשְׁבּ֨וֹן אֻמְלָ֜ל [4] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
גֶּ֣פֶן שִׂבְמָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a

בַּעֲלֵ֤י גוֹיִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הָלְמ֣וּ שְׂרוּקֶּ֔יהָ [2] Munach Zaqef

עַד־יַעְזֵ֥ר נָגָ֖עוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
תָּ֣עוּ מִדְבָּ֑ר [1] Munach Etnachta

שְׁלֻ֣חוֹתֶ֔יהָ [2] Munach Zaqef
נִטְּשׁ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
עָ֥בְרוּ יָֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 2 8 For the fields of Heshbon have withered, [4]
the vine of Sibmah, [3]

rulers of nations, [3]
they have trampled its choice clusters, [2]

which reached to Jazer, [2]
and into the desert; [1]

its branches, [2]
they spread out, [2]
they crossed to the sea. [1]
9 עַל־כֵּ֡ן [4] Pazer
אֶבְכֶּ֞ה [4] Gershayim
בִּבְכִ֤י יַעְזֵר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
גֶּ֣פֶן שִׂבְמָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef

אֲרַיָּ֙וֶךְ֙ [3] Pashta
דִּמְעָתִ֔י [2] Zaqef

חֶשְׁבּ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶלְעָלֵ֑ה [1] Etnachta

כִּ֧י עַל־קֵיצֵ֛ךְ [3] Darga Tevir
וְעַל־קְצִירֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
הֵידָ֥ד נָפָֽל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 4 2 3 2 2 3 9 Therefore [4]
I will weep [4]
bitterly for Jazer, [3]
the vine of Sibmah, [2]

I will drench you [3]
with my tears, [2]

O Heshbon [2]
and Elealeh; [1]

for on your summer fruits [3]
and on your harvest, [2]
the battle cry has fallen. [1]
10 וְנֶאֱסַ֨ף שִׂמְחָ֤ה וָגִיל֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
מִן־הַכַּרְמֶ֔ל [2] Zaqef

וּבַכְּרָמִ֥ים לֹֽא־יְרֻנָּ֖ן [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לֹ֣א יְרֹעָ֑ע [1] Munach Etnachta

יַ֗יִן [3] Revi'a
בַּיְקָבִ֛ים [3] Tevir
לֹא־יִדְרֹ֥ךְ הַדֹּרֵ֖ךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הֵידָ֥ד הִשְׁבַּֽתִּי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 10 And gladness and joy are taken away [3]
from the fruitful field, [2]

and in the vineyards is no singing, [2]
no happy shouting; [1]

wine [3]
in the presses [3]
the treader doesn't tread, [2]
I have made the shouting stop. [1]
11 עַל־כֵּן֙ [3] Pashta
מֵעַ֣י לְמוֹאָ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef

כַּכִּנּ֖וֹר [2] Tip'cha
יֶהֱמ֑וּ [1] Etnachta

וְקִרְבִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לְקִ֥יר חָֽרֶשׂ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 11 Therefore [3]
my heart, for Moab [2]

like a lyre [2]
it moans; [1]

and my inward parts, [2]
for Kir Heres. [1]
12 וְהָיָ֧ה כִֽי־נִרְאָ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
כִּֽי־נִלְאָ֥ה מוֹאָ֖ב [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עַל־הַבָּמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta

וּבָ֧א אֶל־מִקְדָּשׁ֛וֹ [3] Darga Tevir
לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א יוּכָֽל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
ס
1 2 3 2 3 12 So it will come to pass when he has presented himself, [3]
when Moab has wearied himself [2]
on the high place; [1]

and he comes to his sanctuary [3]
to pray, [2]
that he will not prevail. [1]

מֵאָֽז׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 13 This is the word [3]
which the LORD has spoken [3]
concerning Moab [2]
in time past. [1]
14 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'a
דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Munach Zarqa
לֵאמֹר֒ [2] Segol

בְּשָׁלֹ֤שׁ שָׁנִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta

וּשְׁאָ֥ר מְעַ֛ט [3] Merkha Tevir
מִזְעָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
ל֥וֹא כַבִּֽיר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
פ
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 3 2 2 3 14 But now [3]
the LORD has spoken [3]
saying, [2]

“In three years, [3]
like the years of a hired laborer, [2]

disgraced will be [3]
the glory of Moab, [2]

for all [2]
the great multitude; [1]

with the small remnant [3]
very small, [2]
not mighty.” [1]
