| 1 מַשָּׂ֖א [2] Tip'cha דַּמָּ֑שֶׂק [1] Etnachta מוּסָ֣ר מֵעִ֔יר [2] Munach Zaqef מְעִ֥י מַפָּלָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
1 The burden [2] of Damascus; [1] will cease as a city, [2] a ruinous heap. [1] |

| 2 עֲזֻב֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha עָרֵ֣י עֲרֹעֵ֑ר [1] Munach Etnachta וְרָבְצ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha וְאֵ֥ין מַֽחֲרִֽיד׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
2 Forsaken are [2] the cities of Aroer; [1] and they will lie down [2] and there will be no one to frighten (them). [1] |

| 3 וְנִשְׁבַּ֤ת מִבְצָר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מֵאֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וּשְׁאָ֣ר אֲרָ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta יִֽהְי֔וּ [2] Zaqef יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ |
3 And the fortress will cease [3] from Ephraim, [2] and the remnant of Syria; [1] they will be,” [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1] ¶ |

4 “And it will come to pass [3] in that day, [2] the glory of Jacob; [1] it will grow lean. [1] |

| 5 וְהָיָ֗ה [3] Revi'a כֶּֽאֱסֹף֙ [3] Pashta קָצִ֣יר קָמָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef שִׁבֳּלִ֣ים יִקְצ֑וֹר [1] Munach Etnachta כִּמְלַקֵּ֥ט שִׁבֳּלִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּעֵ֥מֶק רְפָאִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
5 And it will be [3] as when one gathers [3] a harvest of the standing grain, [2] reaps the heads; [1] as when one gleans grain [2] in the valley of Rephaim. [1] |

| 6 וְנִשְׁאַר־בּ֤וֹ עֽוֹלֵלֹת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta כְּנֹ֣קֶף זַ֔יִת [2] Munach Zaqef גַּרְגְּרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בְּרֹ֣אשׁ אָמִ֑יר [1] Munach Etnachta בִּסְעִפֶ֙יהָ֙ [3] Pashta פֹּֽרִיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
6 And only gleanings will remain in it [3] as when beating an olive tree, [2] olives [2] at the very top; [1] on its branches [3] that bear fruit,” [2] the God of Israel. [1] |

7 In that day, [2] a man will look [2] to his Maker; [1] to the Holy One of Israel [2] they will turn. [1] |

| 8 וְלֹ֣א יִשְׁעֶ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef אֶל־הַֽמִּזְבְּח֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדָ֑יו [1] Munach Etnachta לֹ֣א יִרְאֶ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef וְהָֽחַמָּנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq ס |
8 And he will not look [2] to the altars, [2] the work of his hands; [1] he will not see, [2] or the incense altars. [1] § |

| 9 בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא [4] Qadma Geresh יִֽהְי֣וּ ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh עָרֵ֣י מָעוּזּ֗וֹ [3] Munach Revi'a וְהָ֣אָמִ֔יר [2] Munach Zaqef מִפְּנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Munach Etnachta שְׁמָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
9 In that day [4] they will be, [4] his strong cities, [3] and treetops, [2] because of [2] the children of Israel; [1] laid waste. [1] |

| 10 כִּ֤י שָׁכַ֙חַתְּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעֵ֔ךְ [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֣א זָכָ֑רְתְּ [1] Munach Etnachta תִּטְּעִי֙ [3] Pashta נִטְעֵ֣י נַעֲמָנִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef תִּזְרָעֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
10 For you have forgotten [3] the God of your salvation, [2] you have not remembered; [1] you plant [3] delightful plants, [2] you set out. [1] |

11 On the day that you plant, [3] you fence it in, [2] you make your seed to sprout; [1] in a day of grief [2] and incurable pain. [1] § |

12 Ah, [3] the uproar [3] of many peoples, [2] they roar; [1] of mighty waters, [2] they rumble! [1] |

13 The nations, [3] of many waters [3] they rumble, [2] so they will flee far away; [1] like chaff on the hills [3] before the wind, [2] before the storm. [1] |

14 At evening [3] behold, terror! [2] they are no more; [1] is the reward of those who plunder us, [2] of those who pillage us. [1] ¶ |
