| ישעה 28 | Isaiah 28 | |||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
1 Woe to [3] the crown of pride [3] of the drunkards of Ephraim, [2] of its glorious beauty; [1] is at the head of the fertile valley [2] of those overcome with wine! [1] |
2 Behold a mighty and strong one, [3] the Lord has, [2] a destructive tempest; [1] of mighty overflowing water [3] he hurls (it) down to earth [2] with (his) hand. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
3 Underfoot [2] they will be trampled; [1] of the drunkards of Ephraim. [1] |
4 And it will be, [4] the fading flower [3] of his glorious beauty, [2] of the fertile valley; [1] before the summer, [2] it, [2] he swallows it. [1] § |
| 5 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא [3] Munach Revi'a יִֽהְיֶה֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וְלִצְפִירַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha תִּפְאָרָ֑ה [1] Etnachta עַמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
5 In that day [3] he will be, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] and a diadem [2] of beauty; [1] of his people, [1] |
6 and a spirit [2] of justice; [1] in judgment, [2] (to) those who turn back the battle [2] at the gate. [1] § |
| 7 וְגַם־אֵ֙לֶּה֙ [3] Pashta בַּיַּ֣יִן שָׁג֔וּ [2] Munach Zaqef תָּע֑וּ [1] Etnachta נִבְלְע֣וּ מִן־הַיַּ֗יִן [3] Munach Revi'a מִן־הַשֵּׁכָ֔ר [2] Zaqef בָּרֹאֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef פְּלִילִיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
7 But also these, [3] with wine they reel, [2] they stagger; [1] they are confused from wine, [3] from strong drink, [2] in vision, [2] in judgment. [1] |
8 Since [3] all the tables, [2] of the filth of vomit; [1] place is left. [1] ¶ |
9 To whom [3] will he teach knowledge? [2] will he explain the message? [1] from milk? [2] from the breast? [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
10 For it is precept upon precept, [3] precept upon precept, [2] line upon line; [1] there a little. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
11 For [3] with stammering lips [2] foreign; [1] to this people, [1] |
| 12 אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh אָמַ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a הָנִ֣יחוּ לֶעָיֵ֔ף [2] Munach Zaqef הַמַּרְגֵּעָ֑ה [1] Etnachta שְׁמֽוֹעַ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 whom [4] he said to them, [3] give rest to the weary, [2] is repose;” [1] listen. [1] |
| 13 וְהָיָ֨ה לָהֶ֜ם [4] Qadma Geresh דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'a צַ֤ו לָצָו֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta קַ֣ו לָקָ֔ו [2] Munach Zaqef זְעֵ֣יר שָׁ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta וְכָשְׁל֤וּ אָחוֹר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְנִשְׁבָּ֔רוּ [2] Zaqef וְנִלְכָּֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
13 So it will be to them, [4] the word of the LORD, [3] precept on precept, [3] line upon line, [2] there a little; [1] and they fall backward, [3] and they are broken, [2] and they are captured. [1] ¶ |
14 Therefore [3] hear the word of the LORD, [2] O scoffers; [1] of this people [2] are in Jerusalem, [1] |
| 15 כִּ֣י אֲמַרְתֶּ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a כָּרַ֤תְנֽוּ בְרִית֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֶת־מָ֔וֶת [2] Zaqef עָשִׂ֣ינוּ חֹזֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta לֹ֣א יְבוֹאֵ֔נוּ [2] Munach Zaqef מַחְסֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha וּבַשֶּׁ֥קֶר נִסְתָּֽרְנוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ |
15 “Because you have said, [3] ‘We cut a covenant [3] with death, [2] we made a pact; [1] it won’t come to us, [2] our refuge, [2] and in falsehood we have hidden ourselves.’ ” [1] ¶ |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
16 Therefore [3] thus he says, [3] the Lord GOD, [2] who have laid in Zion [2] a stone; [1] a precious cornerstone [3] of a firm foundation, [2] he shall not be in haste. [1] |
17 And I will make justice [3] the measuring line, [2] the plumb line; [1] the refuge of lies, [2] they will overflow. [1] § |
18 And it shall be annulled, your covenant [3] with death [2] it shall not stand; [1] when it passes through, [2] a trampling place. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
19 As often as it passes through, [3] it will seize you, [2] it will pass through, [2] by day and by night; [1] to understand the message.” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
20 For the bed is too short [2] to stretch out on; [1] to wrap up in. [1] |
21 For as (at) Mount Perazim [3] the LORD will rise up, [2] of Gibeon He will quake with awe; [1] his strange deed, [2] his work, [2] his work. [1] |
| 22 וְעַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta אַל־תִּתְלוֹצָ֔צוּ [2] Zaqef מֽוֹסְרֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי [3] Revi'a צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha פ |
22 So now [3] do not scoff, [2] your shackles; [1] I have heard [3] of Hosts, [2] ¶ |
[1] Silluq |
23 Give ear and hear [2] my voice; [1] my words! [1] |
24 All the day [2] does a plowman plow [2] to sow the seed? [1] his ground? [1] |
25 No, [3] when he has leveled its surface, [2] and he sows cumin; [1] and barley (in) the appointed place, [2] (in) its place. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
26 For he is rightly instructed, [2] his God teaches him. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
27 For not with a sledge [3] is dill threshed, [2] over cumin [2] it is rolled; [1] dill is beaten out, [2] and cumin with a rod. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
28 Bread grain is crushed, [2] not endlessly [2] does one continue to thresh it; [1] the wheel of his cart [3] and his horses, [2] (but) he doesn’t crush it. [1] |
29 This also, [2] the LORD of Hosts, [2] it has come; [1] and great [2] in wisdom. [1] ¶ |
