עֲטֶ֤רֶת גֵּאוּת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
שִׁכֹּרֵ֣י אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְצִ֥יץ נֹבֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
צְבִ֣י תִפְאַרְתּ֑וֹ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֛ר [3] Tevir
עַל־רֹ֥אשׁ גֵּֽיא־שְׁמָנִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הֲל֥וּמֵי יָֽיִן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the crown of pride [3]
of the drunkards of Ephraim, [2]
 
and the fading flower [2]
of its glorious beauty; [1]

is at the head of the fertile valley [2]
of those overcome with wine! [1]

the Lord has, [2]
 
as a hailstorm, [2]
a destructive tempest; [1]
 
as a downpour [4]
of mighty overflowing water [3]
he hurls (it) down to earth [2]

בְּעוֹדָ֥הּ בְּכַפּ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יִבְלָעֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq

a crown of glory [2]
and a diadem [2]

כֹּהֵ֣ן וְנָבִיא֩ שָׁג֨וּ בַשֵּׁכָ֜ר [4] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
נִבְלְע֣וּ מִן־הַיַּ֗יִן [3] Munach Revi'a
 
תָּעוּ֙ [3] Pashta
מִן־הַשֵּׁכָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
שָׁגוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בָּרֹאֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
פָּק֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
פְּלִילִיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

זֹ֤את הַמְּנוּחָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הָנִ֣יחוּ לֶעָיֵ֔ף [2] Munach Zaqef

הַמַּרְגֵּעָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א אָב֖וּא [2] Merkha Tip'cha
שְׁמֽוֹעַ׃ [1] Silluq

עָשִׂ֣ינוּ חֹזֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta

לְמִשְׁקָ֑לֶת [1] Etnachta

וְסֵ֥תֶר מַ֖יִם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יִשְׁטֹֽפוּ׃ [1] Silluq

the plumb line; [1]
 
and hail will sweep away [3]
the refuge of lies, [2]
 
and the hiding place, the waters [2]

18 וְכֻפַּ֤ר בְּרִֽיתְכֶם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֶת־מָ֔וֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וְחָזוּתְכֶ֥ם אֶת־שְׁא֖וֹל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לֹ֣א תָק֑וּם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
שׁ֤וֹט שׁוֹטֵף֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כִּ֣י יַֽעֲבֹ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וִהְיִ֥יתֶם ל֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְמִרְמָֽס׃ [1] Silluq

and your pact with Sheol, [2]
it shall not stand; [1]
 
the overflowing scourge [3]

יִקַּ֣ח אֶתְכֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־בַבֹּ֧קֶר בַּבֹּ֛קֶר [3] Darga Tevir
יַעֲבֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
בַּיּ֣וֹם וּבַלָּ֑יְלָה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֥ה רַק־זְוָעָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הָבִ֥ין שְׁמוּעָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

it will seize you, [2]
 
for morning by morning [3]
it will pass through, [2]
by day and by night; [1]
 
and it will be sheer terror [2]

וְהַמַּסֵּכָ֥ה צָ֖רָה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כְּהִתְכַּנֵּֽס׃ [1] Silluq

to stretch out on; [1]
 
and the blanket too narrow [2]
to wrap up in. [1]
21 כִּ֤י כְהַר־פְּרָצִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
יָק֣וּם יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כְּעֵ֖מֶק [2] Tip'cha
בְּגִבְע֣וֹן יִרְגָּ֑ז [1] Munach Etnachta
 
לַֽעֲשׂ֤וֹת מַעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
זָ֣ר מַעֲשֵׂ֔הוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְלַֽעֲבֹד֙ [3] Pashta
עֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
נׇכְרִיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עֲבֹדָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

as (at) the valley [2]
of Gibeon He will quake with awe; [1]

פֶּֽן־יֶחְזְק֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
מֽוֹסְרֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־כָלָ֨ה וְנֶחֱרָצָ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh
שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי [3] Revi'a
 
מֵאֵ֨ת אֲדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה [3] Qadma Darga Tevir

עַל־כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

lest they be strengthened, [2]

for a decree of destruction [4]

my voice; [1]
 
pay attention and hear [2]
my words! [1]
24 הֲכֹ֣ל הַיּ֔וֹם [2] Munach Zaqef
יַחֲרֹ֥שׁ הַחֹרֵ֖שׁ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לִזְרֹ֑עַ [1] Etnachta
 
יְפַתַּ֥ח וִֽישַׂדֵּ֖ד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

does a plowman plow [2]
to sow the seed? [1]
 
Does he continually loosen and harrow [2]
his ground? [1]
25 הֲלוֹא֙ [3] Pashta
אִם־שִׁוָּ֣ה פָנֶ֔יהָ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְהֵפִ֥יץ קֶ֖צַח [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְכַמֹּ֣ן יִזְרֹ֑ק [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְשָׂ֨ם חִטָּ֤ה שׂוֹרָה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
וּשְׂעֹרָ֣ה נִסְמָ֔ן [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְכֻסֶּ֖מֶת [2] Tip'cha
גְּבֻלָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

when he has leveled its surface, [2]
 
he scatters dill [2]
and he sows cumin; [1]
 
and he plants wheat (in) rows [3]
and barley (in) the appointed place, [2]
 
and rye [2]
(in) its place. [1]
26 וְיִסְּר֥וֹ לַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֱלֹהָ֥יו יוֹרֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
2 26 For he is rightly instructed, [2]
his God teaches him. [1]
27 כִּ֣י לֹ֤א בֶחָרוּץ֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta
י֣וּדַשׁ קֶ֔צַח [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְאוֹפַ֣ן עֲגָלָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
עַל־כַּמֹּ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
יוּסָּ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֧י בַמַּטֶּ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
יֵחָ֥בֶט קֶ֖צַח [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְכַמֹּ֥ן בַּשָּֽׁבֶט׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

is dill threshed, [2]
 
nor a cart wheel, [2]
over cumin [2]
it is rolled; [1]
 
but with a staff [3]
dill is beaten out, [2]
and cumin with a rod. [1]

גִּלְגַּ֧ל עֶגְלָת֛וֹ [3] Darga Tevir
וּפָרָשָׁ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א יְדֻקֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

but [3]
not endlessly [2]
does one continue to thresh it; [1]
 
for he rolls over it [4]
the wheel of his cart [3]
and his horses, [2]
(but) he doesn’t crush it. [1]
