1 קִרְב֤וּ גוֹיִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לִשְׁמֹ֔עַ [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
הַקְשִׁ֑יבוּ [1] Etnachta
 
תִּשְׁמַ֤ע הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וּמְלֹאָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
תֵּבֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וְכׇל־צֶאֱצָאֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

to hear, [2]
 
and O peoples, [2]
listen; [1]
 
let the earth hear [3]
and what it contains, [2]
 
the world [2]
and all that comes from it. [1]
2 כִּ֣י קֶ֤צֶף לַֽיהֹוָה֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta
עַל־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְחֵמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַל־כׇּל־צְבָאָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
הֶחֱרִימָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
נְתָנָ֥ם לַטָּֽבַח׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 For the wrath of the LORD [3]
is against all the nations, [2]
 
and fury [2]
against all their armies; [1]
 
he will utterly destroy them, [2]
he will give them over to slaughter. [1]
3 וְחַלְלֵיהֶ֣ם יֻשְׁלָ֔כוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
וּפִגְרֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יַעֲלֶ֣ה בׇאְשָׁ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְנָמַ֥סּוּ הָרִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִדָּמָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 So their slain will be thrown out, [2]
and their corpses, [2]
their stench will rise; [1]
 
and the hills will be drenched [2]
from their blood. [1]
4 וְנָמַ֙קּוּ֙ [3] Pashta
כׇּל־צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְנָגֹ֥לּוּ כַסֵּ֖פֶר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְכׇל־צְבָאָ֣ם יִבּ֔וֹל [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּנְבֹ֤ל עָלֶה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מִגֶּ֔פֶן [2] Zaqef
 
וּכְנֹבֶ֖לֶת [2] Tip'cha
מִתְּאֵנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 2 4 Then they will dissolve, [3]
all the host of the heavens, [2]
 
and they will be rolled up like a scroll, [2]
the heavens; [1]
 
and all their array will wither away, [2]
 
as a leaf withers [3]
from a vine, [2]
 
or like withered fruit [2]
from a fig tree. [1]
5 כִּֽי־רִוְּתָ֥ה בַשָּׁמַ֖יִם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
חַרְבִּ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
הִנֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־אֱד֣וֹם תֵּרֵ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְעַל־עַ֥ם חֶרְמִ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 5 For it has drunk its fill in the heavens, [2]
my sword; [1]
 
behold, [3]
upon Edom it will come down, [2]
 
upon the people I have devoted [2]
to judgment. [1]
6 חֶ֣רֶב לַיהֹוָ֞ה [4] Munach Gershayim
מָלְאָ֥ה דָם֙ [3] Merkha Pashta
הֻדַּ֣שְׁנָה מֵחֵ֔לֶב [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מִדַּ֤ם כָּרִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
מֵחֵ֖לֶב [2] Tip'cha
כִּלְי֣וֹת אֵילִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י זֶ֤בַח לַֽיהֹוָה֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta
בְּבׇצְרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְטֶ֥בַח גָּד֖וֹל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּאֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

it is filled with blood, [3]
it is gorged with fat, [2]
 
from the blood of lambs [3]
and goats, [2]
 
from the fat [2]
of the kidneys of rams; [1]
 
for the LORD has a sacrifice [3]
in Bozrah, [2]
 
a great slaughter [2]
in the land of Edom. [1]
7 וְיָרְד֤וּ רְאֵמִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עִמָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּפָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עִם־אַבִּירִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְרִוְּתָ֤ה אַרְצָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מִדָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַעֲפָרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מֵחֵ֥לֶב יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 7 And wild oxen will go down [3]
with them, [2]
 
and young steers [2]
with mighty bulls; [1]
 
so their land will be soaked [3]
from blood, [2]
 
and their dust, [2]
it will be greasy with fat. [1]

י֥וֹם נָקָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
שְׁנַ֥ת שִׁלּוּמִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְרִ֥יב צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

a day of vengeance [2]
the LORD will have; [1]
 
a year of recompense [2]
for the cause of Zion. [1]
9 וְנֶהֶפְכ֤וּ נְחָלֶ֙יהָ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לְזֶ֔פֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וַעֲפָרָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
לְגׇפְרִ֑ית [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיְתָ֣ה אַרְצָ֔הּ [2] Munach Zaqef
לְזֶ֖פֶת [2] Tip'cha
בֹּעֵרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

into pitch [2]
 
and its dust [2]
into brimstone; [1]
 
and its land will become [2]
pitch, [2]
burning. [1]
10 לַ֤יְלָה וְיוֹמָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לֹ֣א תִכְבֶּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
לְעוֹלָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יַעֲלֶ֣ה עֲשָׁנָ֑הּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
מִדּ֤וֹר לָדוֹר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
תֶּחֱרָ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
לְנֵ֣צַח נְצָחִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
אֵ֥ין עֹבֵ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

it will not be quenched, [2]
 
forever [2]
its smoke will go up; [1]
 
from generation to generation [3]
it will be desolate, [2]
 
forever and ever [2]
no one will pass [2]
through it. [1]
11 וִֽירֵשׁ֙וּהָ֙ [3] Pashta
קָאַ֣ת וְקִפּ֔וֹד [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְיַנְשׁ֥וֹף וְעֹרֵ֖ב [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יִשְׁכְּנוּ־בָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְנָטָ֥ה עָלֶ֛יהָ [3] Merkha Tevir
קַֽו־תֹֿ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
וְאַבְנֵי־בֹֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 11 But they will possess it, [3]
the pelican and the porcupine, [2]
 
and the owl and the raven, [2]
they will dwell in it; [1]
 
and he will stretch out over it [3]
a line of chaos, [2]
and stones of desolation. [1]
12 חֹרֶ֥יהָ וְאֵֽין־שָׁ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מְלוּכָ֣ה יִקְרָ֑אוּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְכׇל־שָׂרֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
יִ֥הְיוּ אָֽפֶס׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 12 Its nobles, none shall be there [2]
that can be proclaimed king; [1]
 
and all its princes, [2]
they shall come to nothing. [1]
13 וְעָלְתָ֤ה אַרְמְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
סִירִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
קִמּ֥וֹשׂ וָח֖וֹחַ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּמִבְצָרֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיְתָה֙ [3] Pashta
נְוֵ֣ה תַנִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
 
חָצִ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
לִבְנ֥וֹת יַעֲנָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 13 And its palaces will be overgrown with [3]
thorns, [2]
 
nettles and thistles [2]
in its fortresses; [1]
 
and it will be [3]
a habitation of jackals, [2]
 
an abode [2]
for ostriches. [1]
14 וּפָגְשׁ֤וּ צִיִּים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֶת־אִיִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְשָׂעִ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
עַל־רֵעֵ֣הוּ יִקְרָ֑א [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אַךְ־שָׁם֙ [3] Pashta
הִרְגִּ֣יעָה לִּילִ֔ית [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּמָצְאָ֥ה לָ֖הּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מָנֽוֹחַ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 14 And the desert creatures will meet [3]
with the hyenas, [2]
 
and the wild goat, [2]
it will call to its companion; [1]
 
surely there [3]
the night creature shall settle, [2]
 
and it shall find for itself [2]
a resting place. [1]
15 שָׁ֣מָּה קִנְּנָ֤ה קִפּוֹז֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta
וַתְּמַלֵּ֔ט [2] Zaqef
 
וּבָקְעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְדָגְרָ֣ה בְצִלָּ֑הּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אַךְ־שָׁ֛ם [3] Tevir
נִקְבְּצ֥וּ דַיּ֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָֽהּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 15 There shall the owl make a nest [3]
and she will lay eggs, [2]
 
and she will hatch [2]
and she will gather the young in her shadow; [1]
 
there too [3]
shall the vultures be gathered, [2]
each with its mate. [1]
16 דִּרְשׁ֨וּ מֵֽעַל־סֵ֤פֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
וּֽקְרָ֔אוּ [2] Zaqef
 
אַחַ֤ת מֵהֵ֙נָּה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לֹ֣א נֶעְדָּ֔רָה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָ֖הּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לֹ֣א פָקָ֑דוּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּי־פִי֙ [3] Pashta
ה֣וּא צִוָּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְרוּח֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
ה֥וּא קִבְּצָֽן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and read, [2]
 
(even) one of them, [3]
it will not be missing, [2]
 
each its mate, [2]
they will not lack; [1]
 
for my mouth, [3]
it, it has commanded, [2]
 
and his Spirit, [2]
he, he has gathered them. [1]
17 וְהֽוּא־הִפִּ֤יל לָהֶן֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
גּוֹרָ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וְיָד֛וֹ [3] Tevir
חִלְּקַ֥תָּה לָהֶ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בַּקָּ֑ו [1] Etnachta
 
עַד־עוֹלָם֙ [3] Pashta
יִֽירָשׁ֔וּהָ [2] Zaqef
 
לְד֥וֹר וָד֖וֹר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יִשְׁכְּנוּ־בָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
