| ישעה 5 | Isaiah 5 | |||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
1 Let me sing [3] for my beloved [2] about his vineyard; [1] my beloved had, [2] on a very fruitful hill. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
2 And he dug it and he cleared it of stones, [3] and he planted it [3] with a choice vine, [2] in the middle of it, [2] he cut out in it; [1] to produce grapes, [2] but it produced wild grapes. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
3 “So now [3] O inhabitants of Jerusalem [2] and people of Judah; [1] between me [2] and my vineyard. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
4 What more was there to do [3] for my vineyard [2] in it? [1] to produce grapes, [2] did it produce wild grapes? [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
5 So now [3] I will make known to you [2] what I will do [2] to my vineyard; [1] and it will be eaten up, [2] and it will be trampled down. [1] |
| 6 וַאֲשִׁיתֵ֣הוּ בָתָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a לֹ֤א יִזָּמֵר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְלֹ֣א יֵעָדֵ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef וָשָׁ֑יִת [1] Etnachta אֲצַוֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef מָטָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And I will lay it waste, [3] it will not be pruned [3] and it will not be hoed, [2] and thorns; [1] I will command [2] rain.” [1] |
7 For the vineyard [4] of the LORD of Hosts [3] is the house of Israel, [2] the planting [2] of his delight; [1] but behold, bloodshed, [2] but behold, a cry of distress. [1] ¶ |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
8 Woe to [3] those who join house [3] to house, [2] they merge; [1] there is no room, [2] in the midst of the land! [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
9 In my ears [2] (has said) the LORD of Hosts; [1] many houses, [3] they will become desolate, [2] from having no occupants. [1] |
| 10 כִּ֗י [3] Revi'a עֲשֶׂ֙רֶת֙ [3] Pashta צִמְדֵּי־כֶ֔רֶם [2] Zaqef בַּ֣ת אֶחָ֑ת [1] Munach Etnachta יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה אֵיפָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq ס |
10 For [3] ten [3] acres of vineyard, [2] (only) one bath; [1] it shall produce (only) one ephah.” [1] § |
11 Woe to [3] those who rise up early in the morning, [2] that they may run after strong drink; [1] (until) wine, [2] it inflames them! [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
12 And there will be harp [4] and lyre, [3] and wine, [2] they do not notice, [2] they do not see. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
13 Therefore [3] my people go into exile [2] for lack of knowledge; [1] are famished, [2] is parched with thirst. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
14 Therefore [3] Sheol has enlarged [3] its throat, [2] beyond measure; [1] and her revelers, [2] and the one who exults in her. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 So humanity is bowed down, [2] mankind is humbled; [1] are humbled, [1] |
16 but he will be exalted, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] through justice; [1] the Holy One [2] through righteousness. [1] |
17 Then lambs will graze [2] as in their own pasture; [1] strangers will eat. [1] § |
18 Woe to [3] those who drag iniquity along [2] with cords of deceit; [1] sin, [1] |
| 19 הָאֹמְרִ֗ים [3] Revi'a יְמַהֵ֧ר ׀ יָחִ֛ישָׁה [3] Darga Tevir מַעֲשֵׂ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha לְמַ֣עַן נִרְאֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta עֲצַ֛ת [3] Tevir קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְנֵדָֽעָה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
19 who say, [3] “Let him hurry, let him hasten [3] his work, [2] that we may see; [1] the plan [3] of the Holy One of Israel, [2] that we may know!” [1] ¶ |
20 Woe to those who call evil [3] good, [2] and good evil; [1] and light as darkness, [2] as sweet, [2] and sweet as bitter! [1] § |
21 Woe to [2] those who are wise in their own eyes; [1] prudent! [1] § |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
22 Woe to [2] those who are heroes [2] at drinking wine; [1] at mixing strong drink, [1] |
23 who justify the wicked [2] for a bribe; [1] they take away from him! [1] ¶ |
| 24 לָכֵן֩ כֶּֽאֱכֹ֨ל קַ֜שׁ [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh לְשׁ֣וֹן אֵ֗שׁ [3] Munach Revi'a יִרְפֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef כַּמָּ֣ק יִֽהְיֶ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef כָּאָבָ֣ק יַעֲלֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv תּוֹרַת֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef אִמְרַ֥ת קְדֽוֹשׁ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha נִאֵֽצוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
24 Therefore as stubble is consumed [4] by a tongue of fire, [3] it collapses, [2] it will be like rot, [2] it will go up like dust; [1] -- [3] the law [3] of the LORD of Hosts, [2] the word of the Holy One of Israel [2] they have despised. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
25 Therefore [4] the anger of the LORD is kindled against his people, [4] and he has stretched out his hand against them and he has struck them, [3] the hills, [2] were like refuse [2] in the middle of the streets; [1] his anger is not turned away, [2] his hand is outstretched. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
26 And he will lift up a banner to the nations [3] from far away, [2] from the ends of the earth; [1] speedily they come. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
27 None will be weary and none will stumble [3] among them, [2] and none will sleep; [1] the belt of their waist, [2] the strap of their sandals, [1] |
28 whose arrows [3] are sharpened, [2] bent; [1] will be like flint, [2] like a whirlwind. [1] |
[1] Merkha Silluq |
29 Their roaring [2] will be like a lion; [1] and they will seize prey, [2] and there will be none to rescue. [1] |
30 And they will growl against them [3] in that day, [2] like the growling of the sea; [1] behold darkness. [2] it is darkened [2] by its clouds. [1] ¶ |
