עֵ֭ת [3] Dechi
לֶ֣דֶת יַעֲלֵי־סָ֑לַע [2] Etnachta
 
חֹלֵ֖ל אַיָּל֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
תִּשְׁמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 1 “Do you know [3]
the time [3]
when the mountain goats give birth; [2]
 
the giving birth of does [2]
do you watch? [1]
2 תִּסְפֹּ֣ר יְרָחִ֣ים [3] VDechi
תְּמַלֶּ֑אנָה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יָדַעְתָּ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֵ֣ת לִדְתָּֽנָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 Do you count the months [3]
which they fulfill; [2]
 
and do you know [2]
the time of their giving birth? [1]
3 תִּ֭כְרַעְנָה [3] Dechi
יַלְדֵיהֶ֣ן תְּפַלַּ֑חְנָה [2] Etnachta
 
חֶבְלֵיהֶ֥ם תְּשַׁלַּֽחְנָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 They kneel down, [3]
their young they bear; [2]
 
their labor pains they cast out. [1]
4 יַחְלְמ֣וּ בְ֭נֵיהֶם [3] Dechi
יִרְבּ֣וּ בַבָּ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
יָ֝צְא֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹא־שָׁ֥בוּ לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 Their young ones become strong, [3]
they grow up in the open; [2]
 
they go out [2]
and they don’t return to them. [1]
5 מִי־שִׁלַּ֣ח פֶּ֣רֶא [3] VDechi
חׇפְשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וּמֹסְר֥וֹת עָ֝ר֗וֹד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִ֣י פִתֵּֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 “Who has set the wild donkey [3]
free; [2]
 
and the bonds of the swift donkey, [2]
who has loosed, [1]
6 אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי עֲרָבָ֣ה [3] VDechi
בֵית֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּֽמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָ֥יו מְלֵחָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 6 to whom I gave the wilderness [3]
as its home; [2]
 
and the salt land its dwelling place? [1]
7 יִ֭שְׂחַק [3] Dechi
לַהֲמ֣וֹן קִרְיָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
תְּשֻׁא֥וֹת נֹ֝גֵ֗שׂ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יִשְׁמָֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 It scorns [3]
the commotion of a city; [2]
 
the shouts of a driver [2]
it does not hear. [1]
8 יְת֣וּר הָרִ֣ים [3] VDechi
מִרְעֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאַחַ֖ר כׇּל־יָר֣וֹק [2] VRevMug
יִדְרֽוֹשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 It explores the mountains [3]
as its pasture; [2]
 
and after every green thing [2]
it searches. [1]
9 הֲיֹ֣אבֶה רֵּ֣ים [3] VDechi
עׇבְדֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־יָ֝לִ֗ין [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־אֲבוּסֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 “Is the wild ox willing [3]
to serve you; [2]
 
will it spend the night [2]
at your feeding trough? [1]
10 הֲֽתִקְשׇׁר־רֵ֭ים [3] Dechi
בְּתֶ֣לֶם עֲבֹת֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־יְשַׂדֵּ֖ד עֲמָקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 Can you bind the wild ox [3]
in a furrow with its harness; [2]
 
or will it plow valleys [2]
behind you? [1]
11 הֲֽתִבְטַח־בּ֭וֹ [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־רַ֣ב כֹּח֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְתַעֲזֹ֖ב אֵלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
יְגִיעֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Will you rely on it [3]
for its great strength; [2]
 
and will you leave to it [2]
your labor? [1]
12 הֲתַאֲמִ֣ין בּ֭וֹ [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־*ישוב **יָשִׁ֣יב זַרְעֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽגׇרְנְךָ֥ יֶאֱסֹֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 12 Can you trust in it, [3]
that it will bring in your seed; [2]
 
and gather it to your threshing floor? [1]
13 כְּנַף־רְנָנִ֥ים נֶעֱלָ֑סָה [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־אֶ֝בְרָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חֲסִידָ֥ה וְנֹצָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 13 “The wings of the ostrich flap joyously; [2]
 
but are they the pinions [2]
and plumage of a storck? [1]
14 כִּי־תַעֲזֹ֣ב לָאָ֣רֶץ [3] VDechi
בֵּצֶ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽעַל־עָפָ֥ר תְּחַמֵּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 14 For she leaves on the ground [3]
her eggs; [2]
 
and in the dust she lets then be warmed, [1]
15 וַ֭תִּשְׁכַּח [3] Dechi
כִּי־רֶ֣גֶל תְּזוּרֶ֑הָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְחַיַּ֖ת הַשָּׂדֶ֣ה [2] VRevMug
תְדוּשֶֽׁהָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 and she forgets [3]
that a foot may crush them; [2]
 
or a wild animal, [2]
it may trample them. [1]
16 הִקְשִׁ֣יחַ בָּנֶ֣יהָ [3] VDechi
לְּלֹא־לָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
לְרִ֖יק יְגִיעָ֣הּ [2] VRevMug
בְּלִי־פָֽחַד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 She deals harshly with her young, [3]
as if they were not hers; [2]
 
if her labor is for nothing, [2]
it doesn't bother (her), [1]
17 כִּי־הִשָּׁ֣הּ אֱל֣וֹהַּ [3] VDechi
חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־חָ֥לַק לָ֝֗הּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּבִּינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 for God has made her forget [3]
wisdom; [2]
 
and he has given her no share [2]
in understanding. [1]
18 כָּ֭עֵת [3] Dechi
בַּמָּר֣וֹם תַּמְרִ֑יא [2] Etnachta
 
תִּֽשְׂחַ֥ק לַ֝סּ֗וּס [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּלְרֹכְבֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

she lifts her feathers to run; [2]
 
she laughs at the horse [2]
and its rider. [1]
19 הֲתִתֵּ֣ן לַסּ֣וּס [3] VDechi
גְּבוּרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
הֲתַלְבִּ֖ישׁ צַוָּאר֣וֹ [2] VRevMug
רַעְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 “Do you give the horse [3]
strength? [2]
 
Do you clothe his neck [2]
with a mane? [1]
20 הֲֽ֭תַרְעִישֶׁנּוּ [3] Dechi
כָּֽאַרְבֶּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
ה֖וֹד נַחְר֣וֹ [2] VRevMug
אֵימָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Do you make him leap [3]
like a locust? [2]
 
His majestic snorting [2]
is terrifying. [1]
21 יַחְפְּר֣וּ בָ֭עֵמֶק [3] Dechi
וְיָשִׂ֣ישׂ בְּכֹ֑חַ [2] Etnachta
 
יֵ֝צֵ֗א [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לִקְרַאת־נָֽשֶׁק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 He paws in the valley [3]
and he rejoices in strength; [2]
 
(then) he charges [2]
into battle. [1]
22 יִשְׂחַ֣ק לְ֭פַחַד [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א יֵחָ֑ת [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־יָ֝שׁ֗וּב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִפְּנֵי־חָֽרֶב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 He laughs at fear [3]
and he is not dismayed; [2]
 
and he does not turn back [2]
from the sword. [1]
23 עָ֭לָיו [3] Dechi
תִּרְנֶ֣ה אַשְׁפָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
לַ֖הַב חֲנִ֣ית [2] VRevMug
וְכִידֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 Upon him [3]
the quiver rattles; [2]
 
the flashing spear [2]
and the javelin. [1]
24 בְּרַ֣עַשׁ וְ֭רֹגֶז [3] Dechi
יְגַמֶּא־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־יַ֝אֲמִ֗ין [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּי־ק֥וֹל שׁוֹפָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 With frenzied excitement [3]
he swallows up the ground; [2]
 
and he cannot stand still [2]
when the shofar sounds. [1]
25 בְּדֵ֤י שֹׁפָ֨ר ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
יֹ֘אמַ֤ר הֶאָ֗ח [3] Revi'i
 
וּֽ֭מֵרָחוֹק [3] Dechi
יָרִ֣יחַ מִלְחָמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
רַ֥עַם שָׂ֝רִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּתְרוּעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 25 At the blast of the shofar [4]
he says, ‘Aha!’ [3]
 
and from a distance [3]
he smells battle; [2]
 
the thunder of the captains, [2]
and the battle cry. [1]
26 הֲֽ֭מִבִּינָ֣תְךָ [3] Dechi
יַאֲבֶר־נֵ֑ץ [2] Etnachta
 
יִפְרֹ֖שׂ כְּנָפָ֣ו [2] VRevMug
לְתֵימָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 “Is it by your wisdom [3]
that the hawk soars; [2]
 
and spreads her wings [2]
to the south? [1]
27 אִם־עַל־פִּ֭יךָ [3] Dechi
יַגְבִּ֣יהַּ נָ֑שֶׁר [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝כִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָרִ֥ים קִנּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 Or by your command [3]
that an eagle mounts up; [2]
 
and that [2]
he sets on high his nest? [1]
28 סֶ֣לַע יִ֭שְׁכֹּן [3] Dechi
וְיִתְלֹנָ֑ן [2] Etnachta
 
עַ֥ל שֶׁן־סֶ֝֗לַע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּמְצוּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 On a cliff he dwells [3]
and he spends the night; [2]
 
on the point of a cliff [2]
and a stronghold. [1]
29 מִשָּׁ֥ם חָֽפַר־אֹ֑כֶל [2] Etnachta
 
לְ֝מֵרָח֗וֹק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֵינָ֥יו יַבִּֽיטוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 29 From there he spies out food; [2]
 
from afar [2]
his eyes look. [1]
30 וְאֶפְרֹחָ֥ו יְעַלְעוּ־דָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּבַאֲשֶׁ֥ר חֲ֝לָלִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שָׁ֣ם הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

and where the slain are, [2]
