| 1 וַיַּ֖עַן יְהֹוָ֥ה אֶת־אִיּ֗וֹב [3/2] Revi'i  וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq  | 
1 And the LORD answered Job [3/2]  and he said, [1]  |

| 2 הֲ֣רֹב עִם־שַׁדַּ֣י [3] VDechi  יִסּ֑וֹר [2] Etnachta יַעֲנֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq פ  | 
2 “Shall he contend with the Almighty, [3]  a faultfinder? [2] let him answer him.” [1] ¶  |

| 3 וַיַּ֖עַן אִיּ֥וֹב אֶת־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i  וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq  | 
3 Then Job answered the LORD [3/2]  and he said, [1]  |

| 4 הֵ֣ן קַ֭לֹּתִי [3] Dechi  מָ֣ה אֲשִׁיבֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta שַׂ֣מְתִּי לְמוֹ־פִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
4 “Behold, I am nothing. [3]  What can I reply to you? [2] I put over my mouth. [1]  |

| 5 אַחַ֣ת דִּ֭בַּרְתִּי [3] Dechi  וְלֹ֣א אֶעֱנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta וְלֹ֣א אוֹסִֽיף׃ [1] Silluq פ  | 
5 I spoke once, [3]  but I have no answer; [2] but I will say no more.” [1] ¶  |

| 6 וַיַּעַן־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֶת־אִ֭יּוֹב [3] Dechi  *מנסערה **מִ֥ן ׀ סְעָרָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq  | 
6 Then the LORD answered Job [3]  from the whirlwind [3/2] and he said, [1]  |

| 7 אֱזׇר־נָ֣א כְגֶ֣בֶר [3] VDechi  חֲלָצֶ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
7 “Now gird up like a man [3]  your loins. [2] and you will make known to me. [1]  |

| 8 הַ֭אַף [3] Dechi  תָּפֵ֣ר מִשְׁפָּטִ֑י [2] Etnachta לְמַ֣עַן תִּצְדָּֽק׃ [1] Silluq  | 
8 Really [3]  will you annul my judgment? [2] that you may be justified? [1]  |

| 9 וְאִם־זְר֖וֹעַ כָּאֵ֥ל ׀ לָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta  כָּמֹ֥הוּ תַרְעֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
9 Or do you have an arm like God? [2]  like him can you thunder? [1]  |

| 10 עֲדֵ֥ה נָ֣א גָא֣וֹן [3] VDechi  וָגֹ֑בַהּ [2] Etnachta תִּלְבָּֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
10 “Now adorn yourself with majesty [3]  and dignity; [2] clothe yourself. [1]  |

| 11 הָ֭פֵץ [3] Dechi  עֶבְר֣וֹת אַפֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta וְהַשְׁפִּילֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
11 Pour out [3]  the fury of your anger; [2] and bring him low. [1]  |

| 12 רְאֵ֣ה כׇל־גֵּ֭אֶה [3] Dechi  הַכְנִיעֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta תַּחְתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
12 Look at everyone who is proud [3]  (and) humble him; [2] in their place. [1]  |

| 13 טׇמְנֵ֣ם בֶּעָפָ֣ר [3] VDechi  יָ֑חַד [2] Etnachta חֲבֹ֣שׁ בַּטָּמֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq  | 
13 Hide them in the dust [3]  together; [2] bind up in the hidden place. [1]  |

| 14 וְגַם־אֲנִ֥י אוֹדֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta  יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
14 Then I, even I will commend you; [2]  your own right hand. [1]  |

| 15 הִנֵּה־נָ֣א בְ֭הֵמוֹת [3] Dechi  אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂ֣יתִי עִמָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta כַּבָּקָ֥ר יֹאכֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq  | 
15 “Behold now Behemoth [3]  which I made along with you; [2] like the ox he eats. [1]  |

| 16 הִנֵּה־נָ֣א כֹח֣וֹ [3] VDechi  בְמׇתְנָ֑יו [2] Etnachta בִּשְׁרִירֵ֥י בִטְנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
16 Behold now his strength [3]  in his loins; [2] in the muscles of his belly. [1]  |

| 17 יַחְפֹּ֣ץ זְנָב֣וֹ [3] VDechi  כְמוֹ־אָ֑רֶז [2] Etnachta יְשֹׂרָֽגוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
17 He stiffens his tail [3]  like a cedar; [2] they are knit together. [1]  |

| 18 עֲ֭צָמָיו [3] Dechi  אֲפִיקֵ֣י נְחֻשָׁ֑ה [2] Etnachta כִּמְטִ֥יל בַּרְזֶֽל׃ [1] Silluq  | 
18 His bones [3]  are tubes of bronze; [2] like rods of iron. [1]  |

| 19 ה֭וּא [3] Dechi  רֵאשִׁ֣ית דַּרְכֵי־אֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta יַגֵּ֥שׁ חַרְבּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
19 He [3]  is the first of the ways of God; [2] only he can draw near with his sword. [1]  |

| 20 כִּי־ב֭וּל [3] Dechi  הָרִ֣ים יִשְׂאוּ־ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta יְשַׂחֲקוּ־שָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
20 For food, [3]  the mountains yield for him; [2] they play there. [1]  |

| 21 תַּֽחַת־צֶאֱלִ֥ים יִשְׁכָּ֑ב [2] Etnachta  וּבִצָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
21 Under the lotus plants he lies; [2]  and marsh. [1]  |

| 22 יְסֻכֻּ֣הוּ צֶאֱלִ֣ים [3] VDechi  צִֽלְל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta עַרְבֵי־נָֽחַל׃ [1] Silluq  | 
22 The lotus plants cover him [3]  with their shade; [2] the willows of the brook. [1]  |

| 23 הֵ֤ן יַעֲשֹׁ֣ק נָ֭הָר [3] Dechi  לֹ֣א יַחְפּ֑וֹז [2] Etnachta כִּֽי־יָגִ֖יחַ יַרְדֵּ֣ן [2] VRevMug אֶל־פִּֽיהוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
23 Behold if the river rages, [3]  he is not alarmed; [2] even if the Jordan surges [2] against his mouth. [1]  |

| 24 בְּעֵינָ֥יו יִקָּחֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta  יִנְקׇב־אָֽף׃ [1] Silluq  | 
24 By his eyes can anyone take him; [2]  can anyone pierce (his) nose? [1]  |

2 Can you put a rope [3]  in his nose; [2] pierce his jaw? [1]  |

| 27 הֲיַרְבֶּ֣ה אֵ֭לֶיךָ [3] Dechi  תַּחֲנוּנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta רַכּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
3 Will he make to you many [3]  pleas for mercy; [2] soft words? [1]  |

| 28 הֲיִכְרֹ֣ת בְּרִ֣ית [3] VDechi  עִמָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta לְעֶ֣בֶד עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
4 Will he make a covenant [3]  with you; [2] as a slave forever? [1]  |

| 29 הַֽתְשַׂחֶק־בּ֭וֹ [3] Dechi  כַּצִּפּ֑וֹר [2] Etnachta לְנַעֲרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
5 Can you play with him [3]  like a bird; [2] for your girls? [1]  |

| 30 יִכְר֣וּ עָ֭לָיו [3] Dechi  חַבָּרִ֑ים [2] Etnachta בֵּ֣ין כְּֽנַעֲנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq  | 
6 Will they bargain over him, [3]  traders? [2] among the merchants? [1]  |

| 31 הַֽתְמַלֵּ֣א בְשֻׂכּ֣וֹת [3] VDechi  עוֹר֑וֹ [2] Etnachta רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
7 Can you fill with harpoons [3]  his hide; [2] his head? [1]  |

8 If you lay your hands on him; [2]  and never do it again. [1]  |
