[1] Silluq |
1 Then Job answered the LORD [3/2] and he said, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 “I know [3] that you can do all things; [2] any purpose. [1] |
3 ‘Who is this [4] who hides counsel [3] without knowledge?’ [2] what I did not understand, [2] which I did not know. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
4 ‘Listen, now [3] and I, I will speak; [2] and you will make known to me.’ [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 By the hearing of the ear I had heard of you; [2] my own eye has seen you. [1] |
6 Therefore [3] I retract and repent; [2] ¶ |
7 And it was, [3] after the LORD had spoken [3] these words [2] to Job; [1] to Eliphaz the Temanite, [3] and against your two friends, [2] you have not spoken about me [3] what is right, [2] as my servant Job has. [1] § |

8 Now therefore, [4] take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, [4] and go [4] to my servant Job, [3] for yourselves, [2] he shall pray [2] for you; [1] deal with you [3] according to your folly, [2] you have not spoken about me [3] what is right, [2] as my servant Job has.” [1] |
9 So they went, Eliphaz the Temanite [4] and Bildad the Shuhite, [3] the Naamathite, [2] he had commanded them, [2] the LORD; [1] the face of Job. [1] |
10 And the LORD, [3] he turned back [3] the captivity of Job, [2] for his friends; [1] all that belonged to Job [2] to double. [1] |
11 Then they came to him, [4 4] all his brothers and all his sisters [4] and all those who knew him before, [3] in his house, [2] and they comforted him [2] all the calamity [2] on him; [1] each of them [3] one piece of money, [2] a ring of gold, [2] one. [1] |
12 And the LORD, [3] he blessed [3] the latter end of Job [2] more than his beginning; [1] fourteen thousand [4] sheep, [3] camels, [2] and a thousand female donkeys. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 And he had [3] seven sons [2] and three daughters. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 And he called the name of the first [3] Jemimah, [2] Keziah; [1] Keren Happuch. [1] |
15 And there were not found [4] such beautiful women [3] as the daughters of Job [2] in all the land; [1] an inheritance [2] among their brothers. [1] |
16 And Job lived [3] after this [2] years; [1] his children [3] and the children of his children, [2] generations. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 And Job died, [2] old [2] and full of days. [1] |
