1 וַיַּ֖עַן אִיּ֥וֹב אֶת־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 Then Job answered the LORD [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 *ידעת **יָ֭דַעְתִּי [3] Dechi
כִּי־כֹ֣ל תּוּכָ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יִבָּצֵ֖ר מִמְּךָ֣ [2] VRevMug
מְזִמָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 “I know [3]
that you can do all things; [2]
 
and it isn't withheld from you, [2]
any purpose. [1]
3 מִ֤י זֶ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
מַעְלִ֥ים עֵצָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
בְּֽלִ֫י דָ֥עַת [2] Ole Veyored
 
לָכֵ֣ן הִ֭גַּדְתִּי [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א אָבִ֑ין [2] Etnachta
 
נִפְלָא֥וֹת מִ֝מֶּ֗נִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א אֵדָֽע׃ [1] Silluq

who hides counsel [3]
without knowledge?’ [2]
 
therefore I have spoken [3]
what I did not understand, [2]
 
things too wonderful for me [2]
which I did not know. [1]
4 שְֽׁמַֽע־נָ֭א [3] Dechi
וְאָנֹכִ֣י אֲדַבֵּ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
אֶ֝שְׁאָלְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

and I, I will speak; [2]
 
I will question you, [2]
and you will make known to me.’ [1]
5 לְשֵֽׁמַע־אֹ֥זֶן שְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עַתָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֵינִ֥י רָאָֽתְךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 5 By the hearing of the ear I had heard of you; [2]
 
but now [2]
my own eye has seen you. [1]
6 עַל־כֵּ֭ן [3] Dechi
אֶמְאַ֣ס וְנִחַ֑מְתִּי [2] Etnachta
 
עַל־עָפָ֥ר וָאֵֽפֶר׃ [1] Silluq

I retract and repent; [2]
 
in dust and ashes.” [1]
7 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i
אַחַ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אִיּ֑וֹב [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶל־אֱלִיפַ֣ז הַתֵּימָנִ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
חָרָ֨ה אַפִּ֤י בְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
וּבִשְׁנֵ֣י רֵעֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֠י [4] TelishaG
לֹ֣א דִבַּרְתֶּ֥ם אֵלַ֛י [3] Tevir
נְכוֹנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּעַבְדִּ֥י אִיּֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq

to Job; [1]
 
that the LORD said [4]
to Eliphaz the Temanite, [3]
 
“My anger is kindled against you [3]
and against your two friends, [2]
 
for [4]
you have not spoken about me [3]
what is right, [2]
as my servant Job has. [1]

8 וְעַתָּ֡ה [4] Pazer
קְחוּ־לָכֶ֣ם שִׁבְעָֽה־פָרִים֩ וְשִׁבְעָ֨ה אֵילִ֜ים [4] Geresh
וּלְכ֣וּ ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אֶל־עַבְדִּ֣י אִיּ֗וֹב [3] Revi'i
 
וְהַעֲלִיתֶ֤ם עוֹלָה֙ [3] Pashta
בַּעַדְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאִיּ֣וֹב עַבְדִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
יִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֧י אִם־פָּנָ֣יו אֶשָּׂ֗א [3] Revi'i
 
לְבִלְתִּ֞י [4] Gershayim
עֲשׂ֤וֹת עִמָּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
נְבָלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֠י [4] TelishaG
לֹ֣א דִבַּרְתֶּ֥ם אֵלַ֛י [3] Tevir
נְכוֹנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּעַבְדִּ֥י אִיּֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq

take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, [4]

to my servant Job, [3]
 
and offer up a burnt offering [3]
for yourselves, [2]

for I will accept him, [3]
 
to not [4]
deal with you [3]
according to your folly, [2]
 
for [4]
you have not spoken about me [3]
what is right, [2]
as my servant Job has.” [1]

דִּבֶּ֥ר אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשָּׂ֥א יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־פְּנֵ֥י אִיּֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq

the face of Job. [1]

אֶת־*שבית **שְׁב֣וּת אִיּ֔וֹב [2] Zaqef
 
בְּהִֽתְפַּֽלְל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּעַ֣ד רֵעֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַ֧יֹּסֶף יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְאִיּ֖וֹב [2] Tip'cha
לְמִשְׁנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq

he turned back [3]
the captivity of Job, [2]
 
when he prayed [2]
for his friends; [1]
 
and the LORD increased [3]
all that belonged to Job [2]
to double. [1]
11 וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ אֵ֠לָ֠יו [4 4] TelishaG
כׇּל־אֶחָ֨יו וְכׇל־אַחְיֹתָ֜יו [4] Geresh
וְכׇל־יֹדְעָ֣יו לְפָנִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וַיֹּאכְל֨וּ עִמּ֣וֹ לֶחֶם֮ [3] Zarqa
בְּבֵיתוֹ֒ [2] Segol
 
וַיָּנֻ֤דוּ לוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
וַיְנַחֲמ֣וּ אֹת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

כׇּל־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־הֵבִ֥יא יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עָלָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתְּנוּ־ל֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
אִ֚ישׁ [3] Yetiv
קְשִׂיטָ֣ה אֶחָ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
וְאִ֕ישׁ [2] ZaqefG
נֶ֥זֶם זָהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq

and all those who knew him before, [3]
 
and they ate bread with him [3]

and they showed sympathy to him [3]

all the calamity [2]
 
that the LORD had brought [2]
on him; [1]
 
and they gave him, [3]
each of them [3]
one piece of money, [2]
 
and each of them, [2]
a ring of gold, [2]

אֶת־אַחֲרִ֥ית אִיּ֖וֹב [2] Tip'cha
מֵרֵֽאשִׁת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיְהִי־ל֡וֹ [4] Pazer
אַרְבָּעָה֩ עָשָׂ֨ר אֶ֜לֶף [4] Geresh
צֹ֗אן [3] Revi'i
 
וְשֵׁ֤שֶׁת אֲלָפִים֙ [3] Pashta
גְּמַלִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶלֶף־צֶ֥מֶד בָּקָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶ֥לֶף אֲתוֹנֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

he blessed [3]
the latter end of Job [2]
more than his beginning; [1]
 
and he had [4]
fourteen thousand [4]
sheep, [3]
 
and six thousand [3]
camels, [2]
 
and one thousand yoke of oxen [2]
and a thousand female donkeys. [1]
13 וַֽיְהִי־ל֛וֹ [3] Tevir
שִׁבְעָ֥נָה בָנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְשָׁל֥וֹשׁ בָּנֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 13 And he had [3]
seven sons [2]
and three daughters. [1]
14 וַיִּקְרָ֤א שֵׁם־הָאַחַת֙ [3] Pashta
יְמִימָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְשֵׁ֥ם הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
קְצִיעָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְשֵׁ֥ם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
קֶ֥רֶן הַפּֽוּךְ׃ [1] Silluq

Jemimah, [2]
 
and the name of the second [2]
Keziah; [1]
 
and the name of the third [2]
Keren Happuch. [1]
15 וְלֹ֨א נִמְצָ֜א [4] Geresh
נָשִׁ֥ים יָפ֛וֹת [3] Tevir
כִּבְנ֥וֹת אִיּ֖וֹב [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתֵּ֨ן לָהֶ֧ם אֲבִיהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
נַחֲלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּת֥וֹךְ אֲחֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

such beautiful women [3]
as the daughters of Job [2]
in all the land; [1]
 
and their father gave them [3]
an inheritance [2]
among their brothers. [1]
16 וַיְחִ֤י אִיּוֹב֙ [3] Pashta
אַחֲרֵי־זֹ֔את [2] Zaqef
 
מֵאָ֥ה וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
שָׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
*וירא **וַיִּרְאֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i
אֶת־בָּנָיו֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֶת־בְּנֵ֣י בָנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
אַרְבָּעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
דֹּרֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

after this [2]
 
one hundred and forty [2]
years; [1]
 
and he saw [3]
his children [3]
and the children of his children, [2]
 
to four [2]
generations. [1]
17 וַיָּ֣מׇת אִיּ֔וֹב [2] Zaqef
זָקֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
וּשְׂבַ֥ע יָמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 17 And Job died, [2]
old [2]
and full of days. [1]
