1 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, [2] |

2 צַ֞ו [4] Gershayim אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i שֶׁ֣מֶן זַ֥יִת זָ֛ךְ [3] Tevir כָּתִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha תָּמִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq |
2 “Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually. [4] |

3 מִחוּץ֩ לְפָרֹ֨כֶת הָעֵדֻ֜ת [4] Geresh בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֗ד [3] Revi'i מֵעֶ֧רֶב עַד־בֹּ֛קֶר [3] Tevir לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. [4] |

4 He shall keep in order the lamps on the pure gold lamp stand before the LORD continually. ¶ [3] |

5 וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ סֹ֔לֶת [2] Zaqef וְאָפִיתָ֣ אֹתָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef שְׁתֵּ֥ים עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה [2] Tip'cha חַלּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta עֶשְׂרֹנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef הַֽחַלָּ֥ה הָאֶחָֽת׃ [1] Silluq |
5 “You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two tenths of an efah shall be in one cake. [2] |

6 וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ אוֹתָ֛ם [3] Tevir שְׁתַּ֥יִם מַֽעֲרָכ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha שֵׁ֣שׁ הַֽמַּעֲרָ֑כֶת [1] Etnachta הַשֻּׁלְחָ֥ן הַטָּהֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
6 You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before the LORD. [3] |

7 וְנָתַתָּ֥ עַל־הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֖כֶת [2] Tip'cha לְבֹנָ֣ה זַכָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta לְאַזְכָּרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לַֽיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
7 You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to the LORD. [2] |

8 בְּי֨וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֜ת [4] Geresh בְּי֣וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֗ת [3] Revi'i לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually. It is an everlasting covenant on the behalf of the children of Israel. [4] |

9 וְהָֽיְתָה֙ [3] Pashta לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן וּלְבָנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef בְּמָק֣וֹם קָדֹ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta קֹ֩דֶשׁ֩ קׇֽדָשִׁ֨ים ה֥וּא ל֛וֹ [3] Tevir מֵאִשֵּׁ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha חׇק־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq ס |
9 It shall be for Aaron and his sons. They shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.” ¶ [3] |

10 וַיֵּצֵא֙ [3] Pashta בֶּן־אִשָּׁ֣ה יִשְׂרְאֵלִ֔ית [2] Zaqef בֶּן־אִ֣ישׁ מִצְרִ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֔ית [2] Zaqef הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
10 The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp. [3] |

11 וַ֠יִּקֹּ֠ב [4 4] TelishaG בֶּן־הָֽאִשָּׁ֨ה הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֤ית אֶת־הַשֵּׁם֙ [3] Pashta וַיְקַלֵּ֔ל [2] Zaqef אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta שְׁלֹמִ֥ית בַּת־דִּבְרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha לְמַטֵּה־דָֽן׃ [1] Silluq |
11 The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. [4 4] |

12 They put him in custody until the LORD’s will should be declared to them. [2] |

13 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
13 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, [2] |

14 הוֹצֵ֣א אֶת־הַֽמְקַלֵּ֗ל [3] Revi'i אֶל־מִחוּץ֙ [3] Pashta לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶת־יְדֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha עַל־רֹאשׁ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta כׇּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 “Bring him who cursed out of the camp; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. [3] |

15 וְאֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta כִּֽי־יְקַלֵּ֥ל אֱלֹהָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha וְנָשָׂ֥א חֶטְאֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
15 You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. [2] |

16 וְנֹקֵ֤ב שֵׁם־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta מ֣וֹת יוּמָ֔ת [2] Zaqef כׇּל־הָעֵדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta כָּֽאֶזְרָ֔ח [2] Zaqef יוּמָֽת׃ [1] Silluq |
16 He who blasphemes the LORD’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native-born shall be put to death when he blasphemes the Name. ¶ [3] |

17 וְאִ֕ישׁ [2] ZaqefG כִּ֥י יַכֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־נֶ֣פֶשׁ אָדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta יוּמָֽת׃ [1] Silluq |
17 “ ‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death. [2] |

18 וּמַכֵּ֥ה נֶֽפֶשׁ־בְּהֵמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה [1] Etnachta תַּ֥חַת נָֽפֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
18 He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life. [2] |

19 וְאִ֕ישׁ [2] ZaqefG כִּֽי־יִתֵּ֥ן מ֖וּם [2] Tip'cha בַּעֲמִית֑וֹ [1] Etnachta כֵּ֖ן [2] Tip'cha יֵעָ֥שֶׂה לּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
19 If anyone injures his neighbor, it shall be done to him as he has done: [2] |

20 שֶׁ֚בֶר [3] Yetiv תַּ֣חַת שֶׁ֔בֶר [2] Zaqef תַּ֣חַת עַ֔יִן [2] Zaqef תַּ֣חַת שֵׁ֑ן [1] Etnachta בָּֽאָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef יִנָּ֥תֶן בּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. It shall be done to him as he has injured someone. [3] |

21 וּמַכֵּ֥ה בְהֵמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה [1] Etnachta יוּמָֽת׃ [1] Silluq |
21 He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death. [2] |

22 מִשְׁפַּ֤ט אֶחָד֙ [3] Pashta יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef יִהְיֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
22 You shall have one kind of law for the foreigner as well as the native-born; for I am the LORD your God.’ ” ¶ [3] |

23 וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁה֮ [3] Zarqa אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ [2] Segol אֶל־מִחוּץ֙ [3] Pashta לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef אָ֑בֶן [1] Etnachta צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
23 Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they brought him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses. ¶ [3] |
