1 מַשָּׂ֥א דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta

מַלְאָכִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

2 אָהַ֤בְתִּי אֶתְכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּמָּ֣ה אֲהַבְתָּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הֲלוֹא־אָ֨ח עֵשָׂ֤ו לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ [3] Pashta
נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וָאֹהַ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
אֶֽת־יַעֲקֹֽב׃ [1] Silluq

yet you say, [2]
“How have you loved us?” [1]
 
“Wasn’t Esau a brother of Jacob?” [3]
says the LORD, [2]
 
“And I loved [2]

3 וְאֶת־עֵשָׂ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
שָׂנֵ֑אתִי [1] Etnachta
 
וָאָשִׂ֤ים אֶת־הָרָיו֙ [3] Pashta
שְׁמָמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־נַחֲלָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לְתַנּ֥וֹת מִדְבָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

I hated; [1]
 
and I have made his mountains [3]
a desolation, [2]
 
and his inheritance [2]
for jackals of the wilderness.” [1]
4 כִּי־תֹאמַ֨ר אֱד֜וֹם [4] Geresh
רֻשַּׁ֗שְׁנוּ [3] Revi'i
 
וְנָשׁוּב֙ [3] Pashta
וְנִבְנֶ֣ה חֳרָב֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
הֵ֥מָּה יִבְנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וַאֲנִ֣י אֶהֱר֑וֹס [1] Etnachta
 
וְקָרְא֤וּ לָהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
גְּב֣וּל רִשְׁעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָעָ֛ם [3] Tevir
אֲשֶׁר־זָעַ֥ם יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

“We have been shattered, [3]
 
but we will return [3]
and we will rebuild the ruins,” [2]

the LORD of Hosts, [2]
 
“They, they shall build, [2]
but I, I will tear down; [1]
 
and people will call them [3]
‘a land of wickedness,’ [2]
 
and the people [3]
against whom the LORD was angry, [2]
forever.” [1]
5 וְעֵינֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
תִּרְאֶ֑ינָה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַתֶּ֤ם תֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta
יִגְדַּ֣ל יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
מֵעַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
לִגְב֥וּל יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

they will see; [1]
 
and you, you will say, [3]
“The LORD is great, [2]
 
even beyond [2]
the border of Israel!” [1]
6 בֵּ֛ן [3] Tevir
יְכַבֵּ֥ד אָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
וְעֶ֣בֶד אֲדֹנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וְאִם־אָ֣ב אָ֣נִי אַיֵּ֣ה כְבוֹדִ֡י [4] Pazer
וְאִם־אֲדוֹנִ֣ים אָ֩נִי֩ אַיֵּ֨ה מוֹרָאִ֜י [4] Geresh
אָמַ֣ר ׀ [4] Legarmeh
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת [3] Revi'i
 
לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ [3] Pashta
בּוֹזֵ֣י שְׁמִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
בַּמֶּ֥ה בָזִ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

he honors a father, [2]
and a servant his master; [1]
 
And if a father am I, where is my honor? [4]
And if a master am I, where is the fear due me? [4]
says he, [4]

O priests [3]
who despise my name. [2]
 
But you say, [2]
‘How have we despised [2]
your name?’ [1]
7 מַגִּישִׁ֤ים עַֽל־מִזְבְּחִי֙ [3] Pashta
לֶ֣חֶם מְגֹאָ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּמֶּ֣ה גֵאַלְנ֑וּךָ [1] Etnachta
 
בֶּאֱמׇרְכֶ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
שֻׁלְחַ֥ן יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נִבְזֶ֥ה הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

defiled bread. [2]
 
And you say, [2]
‘How have we defiled you?’ [1]
 
By your saying, [2]
‘The table of the LORD, [2]
it is contemptible.’ [1]
8 וְכִֽי־תַגִּישׁ֨וּן עִוֵּ֤ר לִזְבֹּ֙חַ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֵ֣ין רָ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִ֥י תַגִּ֛ישׁוּ [3] Tevir
פִּסֵּ֥חַ וְחֹלֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֣ין רָ֑ע [1] Etnachta
 
הַקְרִיבֵ֨הוּ נָ֜א [4] Geresh
לְפֶחָתֶ֗ךָ [3] Revi'i
 
הֲיִרְצְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
א֚וֹ [3] Yetiv
הֲיִשָּׂ֣א פָנֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

is it not evil? [2]
 
And when you bring near [3]
the lame and sick, [2]
is it not evil? [1]
 
Try presenting it [4]
to your governor! [3]
 
Will he be pleased with you? [3]
Or [3]
will he lift up your face?” [2]

9 וְעַתָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
חַלּוּ־נָ֥א פְנֵי־אֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וִֽיחׇנֵּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
מִיֶּדְכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
הָ֣יְתָה זֹּ֔את [2] Zaqef
 
הֲיִשָּׂ֤א מִכֶּם֙ [3] Pashta
פָּנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

entreat please the face of God, [2]
that he may be gracious to us; [1]
 
(since) from your hand [3]
this it was, [2]
 
will he lift up any of your [3]

וְיִסְגֹּ֣ר דְּלָתַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹא־תָאִ֥ירוּ מִזְבְּחִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
חִנָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
אֵֽין־לִ֨י חֵ֜פֶץ [4] Geresh
בָּכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִנְחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־אֶרְצֶ֥ה מִיֶּדְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

who would shut the doors, [2]
 
that you might not kindle fire on my altar [2]
in vain! [1]
 
I have no pleasure [4]
in you,” [3]

“and an offering [2]
I will not accept from your hand. [1]
11 כִּ֣י מִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁ֜מֶשׁ [4] Geresh
וְעַד־מְבוֹא֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
גָּד֤וֹל שְׁמִי֙ [3] Pashta
בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְכׇל־מָק֗וֹם [3] Revi'i
מֻקְטָ֥ר מֻגָּ֛שׁ [3] Tevir
לִשְׁמִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וּמִנְחָ֣ה טְהוֹרָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־גָד֤וֹל שְׁמִי֙ [3] Pashta
בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

to its setting, [3]
 
great is my name [3]
among the nations, [2]
 
and in every place, [3]
incense is brought near [3]
to my name, [2]
and a pure offering; [1]
 
for great is my name [3]

מְחַלְּלִ֣ים אוֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
בֶּאֱמׇרְכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
שֻׁלְחַ֤ן אֲדֹנָי֙ [3] Pashta
מְגֹאָ֣ל ה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִיב֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
נִבְזֶ֥ה אׇכְלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

profane it; [1]
 
by your saying, [3]
‘The table of the LORD, [3]
it is defiled, [2]
 
and its fruit, [2]
its food is contemptible.’ [1]
13 וַאֲמַרְתֶּם֩ הִנֵּ֨ה מַתְּלָאָ֜ה [4] Geresh
וְהִפַּחְתֶּ֣ם אוֹת֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וַהֲבֵאתֶ֣ם גָּז֗וּל [3] Revi'i
וְאֶת־הַפִּסֵּ֙חַ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְאֶת־הַ֣חוֹלֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַהֲבֵאתֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הַמִּנְחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
הַאֶרְצֶ֥ה אוֹתָ֛הּ [3] Tevir
מִיֶּדְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“and you bring what you have stolen, [3]
and the lame [3 3]
and the sick, [2]

the offering. [1]
 
Will I accept it [3]
from your hand?” [2]
says the LORD. [1]

וְיֵ֤שׁ בְּעֶדְרוֹ֙ [3] Pashta

וְנֹדֵ֛ר [3] Tevir
וְזֹבֵ֥חַ מׇשְׁחָ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
לַאדֹנָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
כִּי֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ גָּד֜וֹל [4] Geresh
אָ֗נִי [3] Revi'i
 
אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וּשְׁמִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
נוֹרָ֥א בַגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq

but who makes a vow [3]
and who sacrifices a something blemished [2]

“and my name [2]
