אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
הַמִּצְוָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את [2] Tip'cha
הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

to you [3]
is this commandment, [2]
O priests. [1]
2 אִם־לֹ֣א תִשְׁמְע֡וּ [4] Pazer
וְאִם־לֹא֩ תָשִׂ֨ימוּ עַל־לֵ֜ב [4] Geresh
לָתֵ֧ת כָּב֣וֹד לִשְׁמִ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י בָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הַמְּאֵרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְאָרוֹתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־בִּרְכוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְגַם֙ [3] Pashta
אָרוֹתִ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י אֵינְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
שָׂמִ֥ים עַל־לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq

to give honor to my name,” [3]

“then I will send on you [3]
the curse, [2]
 
and I will curse [2]

indeed, [3]
I have cursed it, [2]
 
for you do not [2]
take (it) to heart. [1]

וְנָשָׂ֥א אֶתְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֵלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

the offspring, [2]
 
and will spread dung [3 3]
on your faces, [2]
 
the dung [2]
of your feasts; [1]
 
and you will be taken away [2]

שִׁלַּ֣חְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef

הַֽחַיִּים֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַשָּׁל֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
 
וָאֶתְּנֵֽם־ל֥וֹ מוֹרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּֽירָאֵ֑נִי [1] Etnachta
 
וּמִפְּנֵ֥י שְׁמִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
נִחַ֥ת הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

לֹֽא־נִמְצָ֣א בִשְׂפָתָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
בְּשָׁל֤וֹם וּבְמִישׁוֹר֙ [3] Pashta
הָלַ֣ךְ אִתִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְרַבִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
הֵשִׁ֥יב מֵעָוֺֽן׃ [1] Silluq

it was in his mouth, [2]
 
and unrighteousness, [2]
it was not found on his lips; [1]
 
in peace and in uprightness [3]
he walked with me, [2]
 
and many [2]
he turned away from iniquity. [1]
7 כִּֽי־שִׂפְתֵ֤י כֹהֵן֙ [3] Pashta
יִשְׁמְרוּ־דַ֔עַת [2] Zaqef
 
וְתוֹרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יְבַקְשׁ֣וּ מִפִּ֑יהוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
מַלְאַ֥ךְ יְהֹוָֽה־צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

they will preserve knowledge, [2]
 
and instruction [2]
people will seek from his mouth; [1]
 
for [3]
the messenger of the LORD of Hosts [2]
is he. [1]

סַרְתֶּ֣ם מִן־הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
הִכְשַׁלְתֶּ֥ם רַבִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
שִֽׁחַתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta
בְּרִ֣ית הַלֵּוִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

you have turned aside from the path. [2]
 
You have caused many to stumble [2]
in the law. [1]
 
You have corrupted [3]
the covenant of Levi,” [2]
 
says he, [2]
the LORD of Hosts. [1]
9 וְגַם־אֲנִ֞י [4] Gershayim
נָתַ֧תִּי אֶתְכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
נִבְזִ֥ים וּשְׁפָלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לְכׇל־הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כְּפִ֗י [3] Revi'i
אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֵֽינְכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
שֹׁמְרִ֣ים אֶת־דְּרָכַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְנֹשְׂאִ֥ים פָּנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

נִבְגַּד֙ [3] Pashta
אִ֣ישׁ בְּאָחִ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
לְחַלֵּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בְּרִ֥ית אֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

חִלֵּ֣ל יְהוּדָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
קֹ֤דֶשׁ יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָהֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וּבָעַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בַּת־אֵ֥ל נֵכָֽר׃ [1] Silluq

and an abomination, [3]
it has been committed in Israel, [2]
and in Jerusalem; [1]

Judah has profaned [3]
 
the holiness of the LORD [3]
which he loves, [2]
 
and it has married [2]
a daughter of a foreign god. [1]
12 יַכְרֵ֨ת יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
לָאִ֨ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יַעֲשֶׂ֙נָּה֙ [3 3] Pashta
עֵ֣ר וְעֹנֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
מֵאׇהֳלֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יַעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וּמַגִּ֣ישׁ מִנְחָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

שֵׁנִ֣ית תַּעֲשׂ֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
כַּסּ֤וֹת דִּמְעָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־מִזְבַּ֣ח יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בְּכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וַאֲנָקָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
מֵאֵ֣ין ע֗וֹד [3] Revi'i
פְּנוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הַמִּנְחָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלָקַ֥חַת רָצ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
מִיֶּדְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

to cover with tears [3]
the altar of the LORD, [2]
 
with weeping [2]
and with groaning; [1]
 
because of no longer [3]
turning [3]
to the offering, [2]
 
and receiving with pleasure [2]
from your hand. [1]
14 וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־מָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
עַ֡ל [4] Pazer
כִּֽי־יְהֹוָה֩ הֵעִ֨יד בֵּינְךָ֜ [4] Geresh
וּבֵ֣ין ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אֵ֣שֶׁת נְעוּרֶ֗יךָ [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
בָּגַ֣דְתָּה בָּ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִ֥יא חֲבֶרְתְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וְאֵ֥שֶׁת בְּרִיתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

‘For what reason?’ [1]

that the LORD has been witness between you [4]

the wife of your youth, [3]
 
whom you, [3]
you have been unfaithful to her, [2]
 
though she was your companion, [2]
and the wife of your covenant. [1]
15 וְלֹא־אֶחָ֣ד עָשָׂ֗ה [3] Revi'i
וּשְׁאָ֥ר ר֙וּחַ֙ [3 3] Pashta
ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמָה֙ [3] Pashta
הָאֶחָ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
מְבַקֵּ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
זֶ֣רַע אֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta
בְּר֣וּחֲכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְאֵ֥שֶׁת נְעוּרֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
אַל־יִבְגֹּֽד׃ [1] Silluq

with a portion of the Spirit [3 3]
that belongs to him? [2]

one? [2]
 
To seek [2]
godly offspring. [1]
 
So take heed [3]
to your spirit, [2]

let no one be unfaithful. [1]

אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִסָּ֤ה חָמָס֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־לְבוּשׁ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥ם בְּרוּחֲכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א תִבְגֹּֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq

“and he will cover with violence [3]

that you not be unfaithful. [1]
17 הוֹגַעְתֶּ֤ם יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
בְּדִבְרֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּמָּ֣ה הוֹגָ֑עְנוּ [1] Etnachta
 
בֶּאֱמׇרְכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
כׇּל־עֹ֨שֵׂה רָ֜ע [4] Geresh
ט֣וֹב ׀ [4] Legarmeh
בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וּבָהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
ה֣וּא חָפֵ֔ץ [2] Zaqef
 
א֥וֹ אַיֵּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֱלֹהֵ֥י הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq

Yet you say, [2]
‘How have we wearied him?’ [1]
 
By your saying, [3]
 
‘Everyone who does evil [4]
is good [4]
in the eyes of the LORD, [3]
 
and in them [3]
he, he delights,’ [2]
 
or ‘Where [2]
is the God of justice?’ [1]
