1 שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֕א [2] ZaqefG
אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha

רִ֣יב אֶת־הֶהָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְתִשְׁמַ֥עְנָה הַגְּבָע֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
קוֹלֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

what the LORD [2]
is saying; [1]
 
“Arise, [3]
plead (your) case before the mountains, [2]
 
and let the hills hear [2]
your voice. [1]

אֶת־רִ֣יב יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָאֵתָנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
מ֣וֹסְדֵי אָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י רִ֤יב לַֽיהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
עִם־עַמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְעִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
יִתְוַכָּֽח׃ [1] Silluq

the case of the LORD, [2]
 
and O enduring ones, [2]
the foundations of the earth; [1]
 
for the LORD has a case [3]
with his people, [2]
 
and with Israel [2]
he will contend. [1]

And how have I burdened you? [1]
 
Answer me! [1]
4 כִּ֤י הֶעֱלִתִ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
פְּדִיתִ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וָאֶשְׁלַ֣ח לְפָנֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אַהֲרֹ֥ן וּמִרְיָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

Shall I bow myself down [2]
to the most high God? [1]
 
Shall I come to meet him with burnt offerings, [2]
with calves [2]

בְּאַלְפֵ֣י אֵילִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
בְּרִֽבְב֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
נַחֲלֵי־שָׁ֑מֶן [1] Etnachta
 
הַאֶתֵּ֤ן בְּכוֹרִי֙ [3] Pashta
פִּשְׁעִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
פְּרִ֥י בִטְנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
חַטַּ֥את נַפְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Silluq

with thousands of rams? [2]
 
With tens of thousands [2]
of rivers of oil? [1]
 
Shall I give my firstborn [3]
for my transgression? [2]
 
The fruit of my body [2]
for the sin of my soul? [1]

וְאַ֣הֲבַת חֶ֔סֶד [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַצְנֵ֥עַ לֶ֖כֶת [2] Tip'cha
עִם־אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

with dishonest scales; [1]
 
and with a bag [2]
of deceitful weights? [1]

וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
דִּבְּרוּ־שָׁ֑קֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְשׁוֹנָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
רְמִיָּ֥ה בְּפִיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

they are full of violence, [2]
 
and her inhabitants, [2]
they speak lies; [1]
 
and their tongue [2]
is deceit in their mouth. [1]
13 וְגַם־אֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הֶֽחֱלֵ֣יתִי הַכּוֹתֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
הַשְׁמֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־חַטֹּאתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

I will make (you) sick by striking you; [1]
 
I will make you desolate [2]
because of your sins. [1]
14 אַתָּ֤ה תֹאכַל֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א תִשְׂבָּ֔ע [2] Zaqef
 
וְיֶשְׁחֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וְתַסֵּג֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א תַפְלִ֔יט [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּפַלֵּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha
לַחֶ֥רֶב אֶתֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq

but you will not be satisfied, [2]
 
and your emptiness [2]
will be within you; [1]
 
and you will put away [3]
but not preserve, [2]
 
and whatever you do preserve, [2]
I will give to the sword. [1]

וְלֹ֣א תִקְצ֑וֹר [1] Etnachta
 
אַתָּ֤ה תִדְרֹֽךְ־זַ֙יִת֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְלֹא־תָס֣וּךְ שֶׁ֔מֶן [2] Zaqef
 
וְתִיר֖וֹשׁ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁתֶּה־יָּֽיִן׃ [1] Silluq

but you will not reap. [1]
 
You, you will tread olives [3 3]
but you will not anoint yourself with oil, [2]
 
and new wine, [2]
but you will not drink the wine. [1]

וְכֹל֙ [3] Pashta
מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה בֵית־אַחְאָ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וַתֵּלְכ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּמֹעֲצוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֩עַן֩ תִּתִּ֨י אֹתְךָ֜ [4] Geresh
לְשַׁמָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וְיֹשְׁבֶ֙יהָ֙ [3 3] Pashta

וְחֶרְפַּ֥ת עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
