מֵאֵ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
 
וְצִיר֙ [3] Pashta
בַּגּוֹיִ֣ם שֻׁלָּ֔ח [2] Zaqef
 
ק֛וּמוּ [3] Tevir
וְנָק֥וּמָה עָלֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

Thus says the Lord GOD [4]
to Edom. [3]
 
A report we have heard [4]
from the LORD, [3]
 
and an ambassador, [3]
he has been sent among the nations, [2]
 
“Arise, [3]
and let us rise up against her [2]
for battle. [1]
2 הִנֵּ֥ה קָטֹ֛ן [3] Tevir
נְתַתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha

בָּז֥וּי אַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha

You will be despised [2]
greatly. [1]
3 זְד֤וֹן לִבְּךָ֙ [3] Pashta
הִשִּׁיאֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
שֹׁכְנִ֥י בְחַגְוֵי־סֶ֖לַע [2] Tip'cha
מְר֣וֹם שִׁבְתּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
אֹמֵ֣ר בְּלִבּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
מִ֥י יוֹרִדֵ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha
אָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

it has deceived you, [2]
 
O dweller in clefts of rock, [2]
whose dwelling is high; [1]
 
who says in his heart, [2]
‘Who will bring me down [2]
to the ground?’ [1]
4 אִם־תַּגְבִּ֣יהַּ כַּנֶּ֔שֶׁר [2] Zaqef
וְאִם־בֵּ֥ין כּֽוֹכָבִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
שִׂ֣ים קִנֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
מִשָּׁ֥ם אוֹרִֽידְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 4 Though you soar like the eagle, [2]
and though set among the stars [2]
is your nest; [1]
 
from there I will bring you down,” [2]
says the LORD. [1]
5 אִם־גַּנָּבִ֤ים בָּאֽוּ־לְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
אִם־שׁ֣וֹדְדֵי לַ֔יְלָה [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֣יךְ נִדְמֵ֔יתָה [2] Zaqef
הֲל֥וֹא יִגְנְב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
דַּיָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־בֹּֽצְרִים֙ [3] Pashta
בָּ֣אוּ לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
הֲל֖וֹא [2] Tip'cha
יַשְׁאִ֥ירוּ עֹלֵלֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

if robbers by night, [2]
 
how ruined you would be! [2]
Will they not steal [2]
just until they have enough? [1]
 
If grape gatherers, [3]
they came to you, [2]

Esau will be plundered! [2]
 
They will be searched out, [2]
his hidden treasures! [1]
7 עַֽד־הַגְּב֣וּל שִׁלְּח֗וּךָ [3] Revi'i
כֹּ֚ל [3] Yetiv
אַנְשֵׁ֣י בְרִיתֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
הִשִּׁיא֛וּךָ [3] Tevir
יָכְל֥וּ לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אַנְשֵׁ֣י שְׁלֹמֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
לַחְמְךָ֗ [3] Revi'i
יָשִׂ֤ימוּ מָזוֹר֙ [3] Pashta
תַּחְתֶּ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֥ין תְּבוּנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

all [3]
the men of your alliance. [2]
 
They will deceive you, [3]
they will prevail against you, [2]
the men who are at peace with you. [1]
 
Those who eat your bread, [3]
they will set a trap [3]
under you. [2]
 
There is no understanding [2]

וּתְבוּנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵהַ֥ר עֵשָֽׂו׃ [1] Silluq

in that day,” [2]
says the LORD; [1]
 
“will I destroy the wise men [3]
from Edom, [2]
 
and understanding [2]
from the mountain of Esau? [1]
9 וְחַתּ֥וּ גִבּוֹרֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
תֵּימָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֧עַן יִכָּֽרֶת־אִ֛ישׁ [3] Tevir
מֵהַ֥ר עֵשָׂ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
מִקָּֽטֶל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 9 Then your mighty men will be shattered, [2]
O Teman; [1]
 
so that everyone may be cut off [3]
from the mountain of Esau [2]
by slaughter. [1]
10 מֵחֲמַ֛ס [3] Tevir
אָחִ֥יךָ יַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
תְּכַסְּךָ֣ בוּשָׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִכְרַ֖תָּ [2] Tip'cha
לְעוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 10 Because of the violence done [3]
to your brother Jacob, [2]
shame will cover you; [1]
 
and you will be cut off [2]
forever. [1]
11 בְּיוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
עֲמׇֽדְךָ֣ מִנֶּ֔גֶד [2] Zaqef
 
בְּי֛וֹם [3] Tevir
שְׁב֥וֹת זָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
חֵיל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְנׇכְרִ֞ים [4] Gershayim
בָּ֣אוּ שְׁעָרָ֗ו [3] Revi'i
 
וְעַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
יַדּ֣וּ גוֹרָ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
גַּם־אַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּאַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

that you stood on the other side, [2]
 
on the day [3]
that strangers carried away [2]
his wealth; [1]
 
while foreigners [4]
entered his gates, [3]
 
and for Jerusalem [3 3]
they cast lots, [2]

were like one of them. [1]
12 וְאַל־תֵּ֤רֶא בְיוֹם־אָחִ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּי֣וֹם נׇכְר֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאַל־תִּשְׂמַ֥ח לִבְנֵֽי־יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּי֣וֹם אׇבְדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־תַּגְדֵּ֥ל פִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
בְּי֥וֹם צָרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 12 But do not look on the day of your brother [3 3]
on the day of his disaster, [2]
 
and do not rejoice over the children of Judah [2]
in the day of their destruction; [1]
 
and do not make big your mouth [2]
in the day of distress. [1]
13 אַל־תָּב֤וֹא בְשַֽׁעַר־עַמִּי֙ [3] Pashta
בְּי֣וֹם אֵידָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אַל־תֵּ֧רֶא גַם־אַתָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
בְּרָעָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּי֣וֹם אֵיד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־תִּשְׁלַ֥חְנָה בְחֵיל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּי֥וֹם אֵידֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 13 Do not enter the gate of my people [3]
in the day of their disaster, [2]
 
and do not gloat [3]
over his misery [2]
in the day of his disaster; [1]
 
and do not seize his wealth [2]
in the day of his calamity. [1]
14 וְאַֽל־תַּעֲמֹד֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הַפֶּ֔רֶק [2] Zaqef
 
לְהַכְרִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־פְּלִיטָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־תַּסְגֵּ֥ר שְׂרִידָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
בְּי֥וֹם צָרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 14 And do not stand [3]
at the crossroads [2]
 
to cut off [2]
those of his who escape; [1]
 
and do not deliver up his survivors [2]
in the day of distress. [1]
15 כִּֽי־קָר֥וֹב יוֹם־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַל־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
יֵעָ֣שֶׂה לָּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
גְּמֻלְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
יָשׁ֥וּב בְּרֹאשֶֽׁךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 15 For near is the day of the LORD [2]
against all the nations! [1]
 
Just as you have done, [3 3]
it will be done to you. [2]
 
Your deeds [2]
will return upon your own head. [1]
16 כִּ֗י [3] Revi'i
כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֤ר שְׁתִיתֶם֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הַ֣ר קׇדְשִׁ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
יִשְׁתּ֥וּ כׇֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
תָּמִ֑יד [1] Etnachta
 
וְשָׁת֣וּ וְלָע֔וּ [2] Zaqef
וְהָי֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
כְּל֥וֹא הָיֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

just as you have drunk [3]
on my holy mountain, [2]
 
so will all the nations drink [2]
continually; [1]
 
and they will drink and they will swallow, [2]
and they will be [2]
as though they had not been. [1]
17 וּבְהַ֥ר צִיּ֛וֹן [3] Tevir
תִּהְיֶ֥ה פְלֵיטָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְהָ֣יָה קֹ֑דֶשׁ [1] Etnachta
 
וְיָֽרְשׁוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בֵּ֣ית יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
מוֹרָֽשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 17 But on Mount Zion [3]
there will be deliverance, [2]
and it will be holy; [1]
 
and they will take possession, [3]
the house of Jacob, [2]

of their possessions. [1]
18 וְהָיָה֩ בֵית־יַעֲקֹ֨ב אֵ֜שׁ [4] Geresh
וּבֵ֧ית יוֹסֵ֣ף לֶהָבָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וּבֵ֤ית עֵשָׂו֙ [3] Pashta
לְקַ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וְדָלְק֥וּ בָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וַאֲכָל֑וּם [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יִֽהְיֶ֤ה שָׂרִיד֙ [3] Pashta
לְבֵ֣ית עֵשָׂ֔ו [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 18 And the house of Jacob will be a fire [4]
and the house of Joseph a flame, [3]
 
and the house of Esau [3]
stubble, [2]
 
and they will set them on fire [2]
and they will consume them; [1]
 
and no survivor will belong [3]
to the house of Esau.” [2]

19 וְיָרְשׁ֨וּ הַנֶּ֜גֶב [4] Geresh
אֶת־הַ֣ר עֵשָׂ֗ו [3] Revi'i
 
וְהַשְּׁפֵלָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְיָרְשׁוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־שְׂדֵ֣ה אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
שְׂדֵ֣ה שֹׁמְר֑וֹן [1] Etnachta
 
וּבִנְיָמִ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הַגִּלְעָֽד׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 3 2 2 19 Then those of the Negev will take possession of [4]
the mountain of Esau, [3]
 
and those of the foothills, [3]
the Philistines, [2]
 
and they will take possession of [3]
the territory of Ephraim [2]
 
and [2]
the territory of Samaria; [1]
 
and Benjamin, [2]
(will possess) Gilead. [1]
20 וְגָלֻ֣ת הַֽחֵל־הַ֠זֶּ֠ה [4 4] TelishaG
לִבְנֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל אֲשֶֽׁר־כְּנַעֲנִים֙ [3] Pashta
עַד־צָ֣רְפַ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
וְגָלֻ֥ת יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בִּסְפָרַ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
יִֽרְשׁ֕וּ [2] ZaqefG
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
עָרֵ֥י הַנֶּֽגֶב׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 2 2 20 And the exiles of this army [4 4]
of the children of Israel (will possess what belonged to) the Canaanites, [3]
to Zarephath, [2]
 
and the exiles of Jerusalem [2]
who are in Sepharad; [1]
 
they will take possession of [2]

אֶת־הַ֣ר עֵשָׂ֑ו [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיְתָ֥ה לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הַמְּלוּכָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

on Mount Zion [2]
 
to rule [2]
the mountain of Esau; [1]
 
and it will belong to the LORD [2]
