1b אֶשָּׂ֣א עֵ֭ינַי [3] Dechi
אֶל־הֶהָרִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
מֵ֝אַ֗יִן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָבֹ֥א עֶזְרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

of Ascents. [2]
 
1 I lift up my eyes [3]
to the mountains, [2]
 
from where [2]
will my help come? [1]
2 עֶ֭זְרִי [3] Dechi
מֵעִ֣ם יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

is from the LORD; [2]
 
who made [2]
heaven and earth. [1]
3 אַל־יִתֵּ֣ן לַמּ֣וֹט [3] VDechi
רַגְלֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
אַל־יָ֝נ֗וּם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שֹׁמְרֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 He will not allow to slip [3]
your foot; [2]
 
he will not slumber, [2]
the one who protects you. [1]
4 הִנֵּ֣ה לֹֽא־יָ֭נוּם [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א יִישָׁ֑ן [2] Etnachta
 
שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 Behold he will not slumber [3]
and he will not sleep; [2]
 
the one who protects [2]
Israel. [1]
5 יְהֹוָ֥ה שֹׁמְרֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
יְהֹוָ֥ה צִ֝לְּךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־יַ֥ד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 5 The LORD is your protector; [2]
 
the LORD is your shade [2]
at your right hand. [1]
6 יוֹמָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
הַשֶּׁ֥מֶשׁ לֹֽא־יַכֶּ֗כָּה [3/2] Revi'i
וְיָרֵ֥חַ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 6 By day [3]
the sun will not harm you, [3/2]
or the moon by night. [1]
7 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
יִשְׁמׇרְךָ֥ מִכׇּל־רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
יִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ [1] Silluq

he will protect you from all harm; [2]
 
he will protect [2]
your soul. [1]
8 יְֽהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
יִשְׁמׇר־צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

he will protect your going out and your coming; [2]
 
from now on [2]
and forever. [1]
