1 By the rivers [4] of Babylon, [3] and we wept; [2] Zion. [1] |

2 עַֽל־עֲרָבִ֥ים בְּתוֹכָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta כִּנֹּרוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 On the willows in the midst of it; [2] our lyres, [1] |

3 כִּ֤י שָׁ֨ם שְֽׁאֵל֪וּנוּ שׁוֹבֵ֡ינוּ [4] Pazer דִּבְרֵי־שִׁ֭יר [3] Dechi וְתוֹלָלֵ֣ינוּ שִׂמְחָ֑ה [2] Etnachta מִשִּׁ֥יר צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq |
3 for there our captors asked of us [4] words of song, [3] and our tormentors, gladness; [2] of the songs of Zion!” [1] |

5 If I forget you O Jerusalem, [3/2] may my right hand forget. [1] |

6 May my tongue stick [4] to the roof of my mouth, [3] if I do not remember you; [2] Jerusalem [2] the head of my joy. [1] |
