שָׁ֣ם יָ֭שַׁבְנוּ [3] Dechi
גַּם־בָּכִ֑ינוּ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝זׇכְרֵ֗נוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֶת־צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

of Babylon, [3]
 
there we sat [3]
and we wept; [2]
 
as we remembered [2]
Zion. [1]
2 עַֽל־עֲרָבִ֥ים בְּתוֹכָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
תָּ֝לִ֗ינוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּנֹּרוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 2 On the willows in the midst of it; [2]
 
we hung [2]
our lyres, [1]
3 כִּ֤י שָׁ֨ם שְֽׁאֵל֪וּנוּ שׁוֹבֵ֡ינוּ [4] Pazer
דִּבְרֵי־שִׁ֭יר [3] Dechi
וְתוֹלָלֵ֣ינוּ שִׂמְחָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
שִׁ֥ירוּ לָ֝֗נוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשִּׁ֥יר צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

“Sing for us [2]

תִּשְׁכַּ֥ח יְמִינִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

may my right hand forget. [1]

רֹ֣אשׁ שִׂמְחָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

שֶׁגָּמַ֥לְתְּ לָֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

doomed to destruction; [2]
 
how blessed is the one who will repay you, [2]
your deed [2]
that you have done to us. [1]

שֶׁיֹּאחֵ֓ז וְנִפֵּ֬ץ אֶֽת־עֹ֝לָלַ֗יִךְ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֶל־הַסָּֽלַע׃ [1] Silluq
