of David. [4] 1 Contend O LORD [3] with my opponents; [2] with those who fight with me. [1] |

| 2 הַחֲזֵ֣ק מָגֵ֣ן [3] VDechi וְצִנָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta בְּעֶזְרָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
2 Take hold of shield [3] and body shield; [2] for my help. [1] |

| 3 וְהָ֘רֵ֤ק חֲנִ֣ית וּ֭סְגֹר [3] Dechi לִקְרַ֣את רֹדְפָ֑י [2] Etnachta יְֽשֻׁעָתֵ֥ךְ אָֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
3 And draw out a spear and lance [3] to meet those who pursue me; [2] “I am your salvation.” [1] |

| 4 יֵבֹ֣שׁוּ וְיִכָּלְמוּ֮ [3] Sinnor מְבַקְשֵׁ֢י נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י [2] Ole Veyored וְיַחְפְּר֑וּ [2] Etnachta רָֽעָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
4 May they be ashamed and may they be humiliated, [3] those who seek my soul; [2] and may they be confounded, [2] my harm. [1] |

5 May they be [3] like chaff before a wind; [2] driving it. [1] |

| 6 יְֽהִי־דַרְכָּ֗ם [3] Revi'i חֹ֥שֶׁךְ וַחֲלַקְלַקֹּ֑ת [2] Etnachta רֹדְפָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
6 May their way be [3] darkness and slippery places; [2] pursuing them. [1] |

| 7 כִּֽי־חִנָּ֣ם טָֽמְנוּ־לִ֭י [3] Dechi שַׁ֣חַת רִשְׁתָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta חָפְר֥וּ לְנַפְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Silluq |
7 For without cause they have hidden for me [3] the pit of their net; [2] they have dug for my soul. [1] |

| 8 תְּבוֹאֵ֣הוּ שׁוֹאָה֮ [3] Sinnor לֹֽא־יֵ֫דָ֥ע [2] Ole Veyored תִּלְכְּד֑וֹ [2] Etnachta יִפׇּל־בָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
8 May devastation come to him [3] unawares; [2] may it catch him, [2] may he fall into it. [1] |

| 9 וְ֭נַפְשִׁי [3] Dechi תָּגִ֣יל בַּיהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And my soul, [3] it will rejoice in the LORD; [2] in his salvation. [1] |

| 10 כׇּ֥ל עַצְמוֹתַ֨י ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh תֹּאמַרְנָה֮ [3] Sinnor מִ֥י כָ֫מ֥וֹךָ [2] Ole Veyored מֵחָזָ֣ק מִמֶּ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta מִגֹּֽזְלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
10 All my bones, [4] they shall say, [3] who is like you; [2] from one who is too strong for him, [2] from one who robs him?” [1] |

| 11 יְ֭קוּמוּן [3] Dechi עֵדֵ֣י חָמָ֑ס [2] Etnachta יִשְׁאָלֽוּנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
11 They rise up, [3] witnesses of violence; [2] they question me. [1] |

| 12 יְשַׁלְּמ֣וּנִי רָ֭עָה [3] Dechi תַּ֥חַת טוֹבָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i שְׁכ֣וֹל לְנַפְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Silluq |
12 They reward me harm [3] in place of good, [3/2] to the bereavement of my soul. [1] |

| 13 וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh בַּחֲלוֹתָ֡ם [4] Pazer לְב֬וּשִׁי שָׂ֗ק [3] Revi'i נַפְשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta עַל־חֵיקִ֥י תָשֽׁוּב׃ [1] Silluq |
13 But I, [4] when they were sick [4] my clothing was sackcloth, [3] my soul; [2] to my bosom it returned. [1] |

| 14 כְּרֵעַ־כְּאָ֣ח לִ֭י [3] Dechi הִתְהַלָּ֑כְתִּי [2] Etnachta קֹדֵ֥ר שַׁחֽוֹתִי׃ [1] Silluq |
14 Like a friend, like a brother of mine [3] I went about; [2] I bowed in mourning. [1] |

| 15 וּבְצַלְעִי֮ [3] Sinnor שָׂמְח֢וּ וְֽנֶ֫אֱסָ֥פוּ [2] Ole Veyored וְלֹ֣א יָדַ֑עְתִּי [2] Etnachta קָרְע֥וּ וְלֹא־דָֽמּוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
15 But at my stumbling [3] they rejoiced and they gathered; [2] and I didn’t know, [2] they tore (at me) and they didn’t cease. [1] |

| 16 בְּ֭חַנְפֵי [3] Dechi לַעֲגֵ֣י מָע֑וֹג [2] Etnachta שִׁנֵּֽימוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 Like the profane [3] mockers in feasts; [2] their teeth. [1] |

| 17 אֲדֹנָי֮ [3] Sinnor כַּמָּ֢ה תִ֫רְאֶ֥ה [2] Ole Veyored מִשֹּׁאֵיהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta יְחִידָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
17 O Lord, [3] how long will you look on? [2] from their destruction, [2] my only life. [1] |

| 18 א֭וֹדְךָ [3] Dechi בְּקָהָ֣ל רָ֑ב [2] Etnachta אֲהַלְלֶֽךָּ׃ [1] Silluq |
18 I will give thanks to you [3] in the great assembly; [2] I will praise you. [1] |

| 19 אַֽל־יִשְׂמְחוּ־לִ֣י אֹיְבַ֣י [3] VDechi שֶׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta יִקְרְצוּ־עָֽיִן׃ [1] Silluq |
19 Let them not rejoice over me, those who are my enemies [3] falsely; [2] let them wink an eye. [1] |

| 20 כִּ֤י לֹ֥א שָׁל֗וֹם [3] Revi'i יְדַ֫בֵּ֥רוּ [2] Ole Veyored דִּבְרֵ֥י מִ֝רְמ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash יַחֲשֹׁבֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq |
20 For not peace [3] do they speak; [2] deceitful words [2] they devise. [1] |

| 21 וַיַּרְחִ֥יבוּ עָלַ֗י [3] Revi'i פִּ֫יהֶ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored הֶאָ֣ח ׀ הֶאָ֑ח [2] Etnachta רָֽאֲתָ֥ה עֵינֵֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
21 And they have opened wide against me [3] their mouth; [2] “Aha! Aha! [2] Our eyes have seen it!” [1] |

| 22 רָאִ֣יתָה יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi אַֽל־תֶּחֱרַ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta אַל־תִּרְחַ֥ק מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ [1] Silluq |
22 You have seen O LORD, [3] don’t be silent; [2] do not be far from me. [1] |

| 23 הָעִ֣ירָה וְ֭הָקִיצָה [3] Dechi לְמִשְׁפָּטִ֑י [2] Etnachta לְרִיבִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
23 Wake up and rise up [3] to defend me; [2] for my cause! [1] |

| 24 שׇׁפְטֵ֣נִי כְ֭צִדְקְךָ [3] Dechi יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָ֗י [3/2] Revi'i וְאַל־יִשְׂמְחוּ־לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
24 Vindicate me according to your righteousness [3] O LORD my God, [3/2] and may they not rejoice over me. [1] |

| 25 אַל־יֹאמְר֣וּ בְ֭לִבָּם [3] Dechi הֶאָ֣ח נַפְשֵׁ֑נוּ [2] Etnachta בִּֽלַּעֲנֽוּהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
25 Don’t let them say in their heart, [3] “Aha! (We got) our desire!” [2] “We have swallowed him up!” [1] |

| 26 יֵ֘בֹ֤שׁוּ וְיַחְפְּר֨וּ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh יַחְדָּו֮ [3] Sinnor שְׂמֵחֵ֢י רָעָ֫תִ֥י [2] Ole Veyored הַֽמַּגְדִּילִ֥ים עָלָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
26 May they be ashamed and may they be confounded [4] altogether, [3] those who rejoice at my distress; [2] who magnify themselves against me. [1] |

| 27 יָרֹ֣נּוּ וְיִשְׂמְחוּ֮ [3] Sinnor חֲפֵצֵ֢י צִ֫דְקִ֥י [2] Ole Veyored יִגְדַּ֣ל יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta שְׁל֣וֹם עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
27 May they shout for joy and may they rejoice, [3] those who favor my righteous cause; [2] “May the LORD be magnified, [2] the welfare of his servant!” [1] |
