מַשְׂכִּ֥יל לְדָוִֽד׃ [1] Silluq

2 בְּב֤וֹא ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
דּוֹאֵ֣ג הָאֲדֹמִי֮ [3] Sinnor
וַיַּגֵּ֢ד לְשָׁ֫א֥וּל [2] Ole Veyored
 
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
בָּ֥א דָ֝וִ֗ד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֶל־בֵּ֥ית אֲחִימֶֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

Doeg the Edomite, [3]
and he spoke to Saul; [2]
 
and he said to him, [2]
“David has gone [2]
to the house of Ahimelech.” [1]
3 מַה־תִּתְהַלֵּ֣ל בְּ֭רָעָה [3] Dechi
הַגִּבּ֑וֹר [2] Etnachta
 
חֶ֥סֶד אֵ֝֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כׇּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Why do you boast in evil [3]
O mighty man? [2]
 
The lovingkindness of God [2]
is all the day. [1]
4 הַ֭וּוֹת [3] Dechi
תַּחְשֹׁ֣ב לְשׁוֹנֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
כְּתַ֥עַר מְ֝לֻטָּ֗שׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֹשֵׂ֥ה רְמִיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

your tongue plots; [2]
 
like a sharpened razor, [2]
O doer of deceit. [1]
5 אָהַ֣בְתָּ רָּ֣ע [3] VDechi
מִטּ֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
שֶׁ֓קֶר ׀ [2] ShalsheletG
מִדַּבֵּ֖ר צֶ֣דֶק [2] VRevMug
סֶֽלָה׃ [1] Silluq

more than good; [2]
 
falsehood [2]
more than speaking righteousness. [2]

6 אָהַ֥בְתָּ כׇֽל־דִּבְרֵי־בָ֗לַע [3/2] Revi'i
לְשׁ֣וֹן מִרְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 4 You love all devouring words, [3/2]
a deceitful tongue. [1]
7 גַּם־אֵל֮ [3] Sinnor
יִתׇּצְךָ֢ לָ֫נֶ֥צַח [2] Ole Veyored
 
יַחְתְּךָ֣ וְיִסָּחֲךָ֣ [3] VDechi
מֵאֹ֑הֶל [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֵׁרֶשְׁךָ֨ מֵאֶ֖רֶץ [2] VRevMug
חַיִּ֣ים סֶֽלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 5 God likewise, [3]
he will destroy you forever; [2]
 
he will snatch you up and he will tear you away [3]
from a tent, [2]
 
and he will root you up from the land [2]
of the living. Selah. [1]
8 וְיִרְא֖וּ צַדִּיקִ֥ים וְיִירָ֗אוּ [3/2] Revi'i
וְעָלָ֥יו יִשְׂחָֽקוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 6 And the righteous will see and will fear [3/2]
and they will laugh at him, [1]
9 הִנֵּ֤ה הַגֶּ֗בֶר [3] Revi'i
לֹ֤א יָשִׂ֥ים אֱלֹהִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
מָ֫עוּזּ֥וֹ [2] Ole Veyored
 
וַ֭יִּבְטַח [3] Dechi
בְּרֹ֣ב עׇשְׁר֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
יָ֝עֹ֗ז [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּהַוָּתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 3 2 7 “Behold, the man [3]
who didn’t make God [3]
his refuge; [2]
 
but he trusted [3]
in the greatness of his riches, [2]
 
he sought refuge [2]
in his destructive deeds.” [1]
10 וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
כְּזַ֣יִת רַ֭עֲנָן [3] Dechi
בְּבֵ֣ית אֱלֹהִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
בָּטַ֥חְתִּי בְחֶסֶד־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 8 But I [4]
like a flourishing olive tree [3]
in the house of God; [2]
 
I trust in the lovingkindness of God [2]
forever and ever. [1]
11 אוֹדְךָ֣ לְ֭עוֹלָם [3] Dechi
כִּ֣י עָשִׂ֑יתָ [2] Etnachta
 
וַאֲקַוֶּ֥ה שִׁמְךָ֥ כִי־ט֝֗וֹב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נֶ֣גֶד חֲסִידֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 9 I will give thanks to you forever, [3]
for you have acted; [2]
 
and I will wait for your name, for it is good, [2]
before your faithful ones. [1]
