1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵ֗ת [3/2] Revi'i
לְדָוִ֥ד מִכְתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 To the choirmaster, to the tune of “Do Not Destroy,” [3/2]

2 הַאֻמְנָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֵ֣לֶם צֶ֭דֶק [3] Dechi
תְּדַבֵּר֑וּן [2] Etnachta
 
מֵישָׁרִ֥ים תִּ֝שְׁפְּט֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּנֵ֣י אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 1 Really [3]
O silent ones, righteousness [3]
do you speak? [2]
 
Uprightly do you judge [2]
O sons of men? [1]
3 אַף־בְּלֵב֮ [3] Sinnor
עוֹלֹ֢ת תִּפְעָ֫ל֥וּן [2] Ole Veyored
 
בָּאָ֡רֶץ [4/3] Pazer
חֲמַ֥ס יְ֝דֵיכֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּפַלֵּסֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq

injustice you do; [2]
 
in the land [4/3]
the violence of your hands, [2]
you weigh out. [1]
4 זֹ֣רוּ רְשָׁעִ֣ים [3] VDechi
מֵרָ֑חֶם [2] Etnachta
 
תָּע֥וּ מִ֝בֶּ֗טֶן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דֹּבְרֵ֥י כָזָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 The wicked turn aside [3]
from the womb; [2]
 
they go astray from birth, [2]
those who speak lies. [1]
5 חֲמַת־לָ֗מוֹ [3] Revi'i
כִּדְמ֥וּת חֲמַת־נָחָ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
כְּמוֹ־פֶ֥תֶן חֵ֝רֵ֗שׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַאְטֵ֥ם אׇזְנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 Their venom [3]
is like the venom of a snake; [2]
 
like a deaf cobra [2]
which shuts its ear, [1]
6 אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־יִ֭שְׁמַע [3] Dechi
לְק֣וֹל מְלַחֲשִׁ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
חוֹבֵ֖ר חֲבָרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
מְחֻכָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

to the sound of charmers; [2]
 
who cast spells [2]
skillfully. [1]
7 אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
הֲרׇס־שִׁנֵּ֥ימֽוֹ בְּפִ֑ימוֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מַלְתְּע֥וֹת כְּ֝פִירִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נְתֹ֣ץ ׀ יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 O God, [3]
break away their teeth in their mouth; [2]
 
the teeth of young lions, [2]
break off O LORD. [1]
8 יִמָּאֲס֣וּ כְמוֹ־מַ֭יִם [3] Dechi
יִתְהַלְּכוּ־לָ֑מוֹ [2] Etnachta
 
יִדְרֹ֥ךְ חִ֝צָּ֗ו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כְּמ֣וֹ יִתְמֹלָֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 May they flow away like water [3]
that runs off; [2]
 
when he bends his bow, [2]
let the arrows be cut off. [1]
9 כְּמ֣וֹ שַׁ֭בְּלוּל [3] Dechi
תֶּ֣מֶס יַהֲלֹ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
נֵ֥פֶל אֵ֝֗שֶׁת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּל־חָ֥זוּ שָֽׁמֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Like a snail [3]
which goes melting away; [2]
 
a miscarriage of a woman [2]
which never sees the sun. [1]
10 בְּטֶ֤רֶם ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
יָבִ֣ינוּ סִּירֹתֵכֶ֣ם [3] VDechi
אָטָ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
כְּמוֹ־חַ֥י כְּמוֹ־חָ֝ר֗וֹן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשְׂעָרֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 9 Before [4]
your pots can feel [3]
the fire of thorns; [2]
 
the green and the burning alike, [2]
he will sweep it away. [1]
11 יִשְׂמַ֣ח צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
כִּי־חָזָ֣ה נָקָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
פְּעָמָ֥יו יִ֝רְחַ֗ץ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּדַ֣ם הָרָשָֽׁע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 The righteous shall rejoice [3]
when he has seen vengeance; [2]
 
his feet he will bathe [2]
in the blood of the wicked, [1]
12 וְיֹאמַ֣ר אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
אַךְ־פְּרִ֣י לַצַּדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֥ךְ יֵשׁ־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שֹׁפְטִ֥ים בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

“Surely there is a reward for the righteous; [2]
 
surely there is a God [2]
who judges on the earth.” [1]
