1 לַמְנַצֵּ֣חַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת֮ [3] Sinnor
לְדָוִ֢ד מִ֫כְתָּ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored
 
בִּשְׁלֹ֥חַ שָׁא֑וּל [2] Etnachta
וַֽיִּשְׁמְר֥וּ אֶת־הַ֝בַּ֗יִת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 To the choirmaster, to the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” [3]

2 הַצִּילֵ֖נִי מֵאֹיְבַ֥י ׀ אֱלֹהָ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
מִֽמִּתְקוֹמְמַ֥י תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 Deliver me from my enemies O my God; [2]
 
from those who rise up against me may you set me on high. [1]
3 הַ֭צִּילֵנִי [3] Dechi
מִפֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן [2] Etnachta
 
וּֽמֵאַנְשֵׁ֥י דָ֝מִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הֽוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

from those who work wickedness; [2]
 
and from bloodthirsty men, [2]
save me. [1]
4 כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֪ה אָרְב֡וּ [4] Pazer
לְנַפְשִׁ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
יָג֣וּרוּ עָלַ֣י [3] VDechi
עַזִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
לֹֽא־פִשְׁעִ֖י וְלֹא־חַטָּאתִ֣י [2] VRevMug
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

for my soul, [3]
 
they stir up trouble against me, [3]
the mighty; [2]
 
not for my transgression and not for my sin, [2]

יְרֻצ֣וּן וְיִכּוֹנָ֑נוּ [2] Etnachta
 
ע֖וּרָה לִקְרָאתִ֣י [2] VRevMug
וּרְאֵֽה׃ [1] Silluq

they run and they make ready; [2]
 
rise up to help me, [2]
and see! [1]
6 וְאַתָּ֤ה יְהֹוָֽה־אֱלֹהִ֥ים ׀ צְבָא֡וֹת [4] Pazer
אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i
 
הָקִ֗יצָה [3] Revi'i
לִפְקֹ֥ד כׇּֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
אַל־תָּחֹ֨ן כׇּל־בֹּ֖גְדֵי [2] VRevMug
אָ֣וֶן סֶֽלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 5 And you O LORD God of Hosts, [4]
the God of Israel, [3]
 
awake [3]
to punish all the nations; [2]
 
show no mercy to all the treacherous [2]
of wickedness. Selah. [1]
7 יָשׁ֣וּבוּ לָ֭עֶרֶב [3] Dechi
יֶהֱמ֥וּ כַכָּ֗לֶב [3/2] Revi'i
וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ עִֽיר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 6 They return at evening, [3]
they growl like dogs, [3/2]
and they prowl around the city. [1]
8 הִנֵּ֤ה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
יַבִּ֘יע֤וּן בְּפִיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
חֲ֭רָבוֹת [3] Dechi
בְּשִׂפְתֽוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
כִּי־מִ֥י שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 7 Behold, [4]
they spew with their mouth, [3]
 
swords [3]
are on their lips; [2]
 
“For who hears?” [1]
9 וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
תִּשְׂחַק־לָ֑מוֹ [2] Etnachta
 
תִּ֝לְעַ֗ג [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְכׇל־גּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 But you O LORD, [3]
you laugh at them; [2]
 
you mock [2]
all the nations. [1]
10 עֻ֭זּוֹ [3] Dechi
אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֶשְׁמֹ֑רָה [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 O my strength, [3]
for you I watch; [2]
 
for God [2]
is my refuge. [1]
11 אֱלֹהֵ֣י *חסדו **חַסְדִּ֣י [3] VDechi
יְקַדְּמֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַרְאֵ֥נִי בְשֹׁרְרָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 My God in his lovingkindness, [3]
he will go before me; [2]

he will let me look on my enemies. [1]
12 אַל־תַּהַרְגֵ֤ם ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
פֶּֽן־יִשְׁכְּח֬וּ עַמִּ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
הֲנִיעֵ֣מוֹ בְ֭חֵילְךָ [3] Dechi
וְהוֹרִידֵ֑מוֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מָגִנֵּ֣נוּ אֲדֹנָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 11 Don’t kill them, [4]
lest my people should forget, [3]
 
make them wander about by your strength, [3]
and bring them down; [2]
 
O Lord our shield. [1]
13 חַטַּאת־פִּ֗ימוֹ [3] Revi'i
דְּֽבַר־שְׂפָ֫תֵ֥ימוֹ [2] Ole Veyored
 
וְיִלָּכְד֥וּ בִגְאוֹנָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
וּמֵאָלָ֖ה וּמִכַּ֣חַשׁ [2] VRevMug
יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 12 The sin of their mouth [3]
is the word of their lips; [2]
 
so let them be caught in their pride, [2]
and for a curse and for a lie [2]
which they speak. [1]
14 כַּלֵּ֥ה בְחֵמָה֮ [3] Sinnor
כַּלֵּ֢ה וְֽאֵ֫ינֵ֥מוֹ [2] Ole Veyored
 
וְֽיֵדְע֗וּ [3] Revi'i
כִּֽי־אֱ֭לֹהִים [3] Dechi
מֹשֵׁ֣ל בְּֽיַעֲקֹ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
לְאַפְסֵ֖י הָאָ֣רֶץ [2] VRevMug
סֶֽלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 3 2 13 Consume them in wrath, [3]
consume them until they are no more; [2]
 
so they may know, [3]
that God [3]
rules over Jacob, [2]
 
to the ends of the earth. [2]

יֶהֱמ֥וּ כַכָּ֗לֶב [3/2] Revi'i
וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ עִֽיר׃ [1] Silluq

*ינועון **יְנִיע֣וּן לֶאֱכֹ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־לֹ֥א יִ֝שְׂבְּע֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַיָּלִֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 They, [3]
they wander about for food; [2]
 
if they aren’t satisfied, [2]
they stay up all night. [1]
17 וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
אָשִׁ֣יר עֻזֶּךָ֮ [3] Sinnor
 
וַאֲרַנֵּ֥ן לַבֹּ֗קֶר [3] Revi'i
חַ֫סְדֶּ֥ךָ [2] Ole Veyored
 
כִּֽי־הָיִ֣יתָ מִשְׂגָּ֣ב [3] VDechi
לִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מָנ֗וֹס [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּי֣וֹם צַר־לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 3 2 16 But I, [4]
I will sing of your strength, [3]
 
and I will sing for joy in the morning [3]
of your lovingkindness; [2]
 
for you have been a refuge [3]
to me, [2]
 
and a place of escape [2]
in the day of my distress. [1]
