1 The word of the LORD [4] which came [3] the son of Cushi the son of Gedaliah, [2] the son of Hezekiah; [1] of Josiah the son of Amon, [2] king of Judah. [1] |

2 I will utterly sweep away [4] everything [3] the surface of the ground, [2] |

| 3 אָסֵ֨ף אָדָ֜ם [4] Geresh וּבְהֵמָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וּדְגֵ֣י הַיָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֶת־הָרְשָׁעִ֑ים [1] Etnachta מֵעַ֛ל [3] Tevir פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
3 I will sweep away man [4] and animal. [3] and the fish of the sea, [2] with the wicked; [1] from [3] the surface of the ground, [2] says the LORD. [1] |

| 4 וְנָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ [3] Pashta עַל־יְהוּדָ֔ה [2] Zaqef כׇּל־יוֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם [1] Etnachta מִן־הַמָּק֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־שְׁאָ֣ר הַבַּ֔עַל [2] Zaqef עִם־הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And I will stretch out my hand [3] against Judah, [2] all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; [1] from this place [3] the remnant of Baal, [2] with the priests, [1] |

| 5 וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁתַּחֲוִ֥ים עַל־הַגַּגּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha לִצְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta הַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֣ים לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּמַלְכָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
5 and those who bow down on the roofs [2] to the host of the heavens; [1] who swear by the LORD, [2] by their king, [1] |

| 6 וְאֶת־הַנְּסוֹגִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta לֹא־בִקְשׁ֥וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וְלֹ֥א דְרָשֻֽׁהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 and those who have turned back [2] from following the LORD; [1] have not sought the LORD, [2] and have not inquired after him. [1] |

7 Be silent [2] before [2] the Lord GOD; [1] is the day of the LORD, [2] a sacrifice. [2] He has consecrated those he has invited. [1] |

8 And it will be [3] on the day [3] of the sacrifice of the LORD, [2] and on the sons of the king; [1] with foreign clothing. [1] |

| 9 וּפָקַדְתִּ֗י [3] Revi'i עַ֧ל כׇּל־הַדּוֹלֵ֛ג [3] Tevir עַל־הַמִּפְתָּ֖ן [2] Tip'cha בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא [1] Etnachta בֵּ֥ית אֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha חָמָ֥ס וּמִרְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And I will visit judgement [3] on all who leap [3] over the threshold [2] on that day; [1] the house of their master [2] with violence and deceit. [1] |

10 And there will be on that day [4] says the LORD, [3] from the fish gate, [2] from the second quarter; [1] from the hills. [1] |

11 Wail, [2] O inhabitants of Maktesh; [1] all the people of Canaan. [2] all those who weigh silver. [1] § |

| 12 וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא [2] Zaqef בַּנֵּר֑וֹת [1] Etnachta הַקֹּֽפְאִים֙ [3] Pashta עַל־שִׁמְרֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef בִּלְבָבָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְלֹ֥א יָרֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And it will be [3] at that time, [2] with lamps; [1] who are settled [3] on their dregs, [2] in their heart, [2] and he will not do harm.” [1] |

13 And their wealth will become [3] plunder, [2] a desolation; [1] but they will not dwell in them, [2] but they will not drink [2] their wine. [1] |

14 Near is the day of the LORD, [3] the great. [2] and hurries greatly. [1] of the day of the LORD [2] there of a warrior. [1] |

15 A day of wrath [2] will be that day; [1] a day of devastation [3] and desolation, [2] and gloom, [2] and thick darkness, [1] |

16 a day of shofar [2] and battle cry; [1] the fortified cities, [2] the high battlements. [1] |

17 I will bring distress on men, [3] and they will walk [3] like the blind, [2] they have sinned; [1] like dust, [2] like dung. [1] |

18 And their silver and their gold [4] will not be able to deliver them [3] of the wrath of the LORD, [2] of his jealousy [2] all the land; [1] he will make [2] in the land. [1] § |
