1 כִּ֤י יֵ֣שׁ לַכֶּ֣סֶף [3] VDechi
מוֹצָ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מָק֗וֹם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַזָּהָ֥ב יָזֹֽקּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 “Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine. [3]
2 בַּ֭רְזֶל [3] Dechi
מֵעָפָ֣ר יֻקָּ֑ח [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אֶ֗בֶן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָצ֥וּק נְחוּשָֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and copper is smelted out of the ore. [3]
3 קֵ֤ץ ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
שָׂ֤ם לַחֹ֗שֶׁךְ [3] Revi'i
 
וּֽלְכָל־תַּ֭כְלִית [3] Dechi
ה֣וּא חוֹקֵ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
אֶ֖בֶן אֹ֣פֶל [2] VRevMug
וְצַלְמָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 3 Man sets an end to darkness, and searches out, to the furthest bound, the stones of obscurity and of thick darkness. [4]
4 פָּ֤רַץ נַ֨חַל ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
מֵֽעִם־גָּ֗ר [3] Revi'i
הַֽנִּשְׁכָּחִ֥ים מִנִּי־רָ֑גֶל [2] Etnachta
 
דַּ֖לּוּ מֵאֱנ֣וֹשׁ [2] VRevMug
נָֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 4 He breaks open a shaft away from where people live. They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men, they swing back and forth. [4]

מִמֶּ֥נָּה יֵֽצֵא־לָ֑חֶם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תַחְתֶּ֗יהָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נֶהְפַּ֥ךְ כְּמוֹ־אֵֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 As for the earth, out of it comes bread. Underneath it is turned up as it were by fire. [3]
6 מְקוֹם־סַפִּ֥יר אֲבָנֶ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַפְרֹ֖ת זָהָ֣ב [2] VRevMug
לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 6 Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold. [2]
 
7 נָ֭תִיב [3] Dechi
לֹֽא־יְדָ֣עוֹ עָ֑יִט [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א שְׁ֝זָפַ֗תּוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֵ֣ין אַיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 That path no bird of prey knows, neither has the falcon’s eye seen it. [3]
8 לֹֽא־הִדְרִיכֻ֥הוּ בְנֵי־שָׁ֑חַץ [2] Etnachta
 
לֹֽא־עָדָ֖ה עָלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
שָֽׁחַל׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed by there. [2]
 
9 בַּֽ֭חַלָּמִישׁ [3] Dechi
שָׁלַ֣ח יָד֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
הָפַ֖ךְ מִשֹּׁ֣רֶשׁ [2] VRevMug
הָרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 He puts his hand on the flinty rock, and he overturns the mountains by the roots. [3]
10 בַּ֭צּוּרוֹת [3] Dechi
יְאֹרִ֣ים בִּקֵּ֑עַ [2] Etnachta
 
וְכָל־יְ֝קָ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
רָאֲתָ֥ה עֵינֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 He cuts out channels among the rocks. His eye sees every precious thing. [3]
11 מִ֭בְּכִי [3] Dechi
נְהָר֣וֹת חִבֵּ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תַעֲלֻמָ֗הּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יֹ֣צִא אֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 11 He binds the streams that they don’t trickle. The thing that is hidden he brings out to light. [3]
12 וְֽ֭הַחָכְמָה [3] Dechi
מֵאַ֣יִן תִּמָּצֵ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥י זֶ֝ה [2] Geresh
מְק֣וֹם בִּינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 “But where will wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding? [3]
13 לֹא־יָדַ֣ע אֱנ֣וֹשׁ [3] VDechi
עֶרְכָּ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א תִ֝מָּצֵ֗א [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Man doesn’t know its price; Neither is it found in the land of the living. [3]
14 תְּה֣וֹם אָ֭מַר [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א בִי־הִ֑יא [2] Etnachta
 
וְיָ֥ם אָ֝מַ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֵ֣ין עִמָּדִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 The deep says, ‘It isn’t in me.’ The sea says, ‘It isn’t with me.’ [3]
15 לֹא־יֻתַּ֣ן סְג֣וֹר [3] VDechi
תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א יִ֝שָּׁקֵ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כֶּ֣סֶף מְחִירָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 It can’t be gotten for gold, neither will silver be weighed for its price. [3]
16 לֹֽא־תְ֭סֻלֶּה [3] Dechi
בְּכֶ֣תֶם אוֹפִ֑יר [2] Etnachta
 
בְּשֹׁ֖הַם יָקָ֣ר [2] VRevMug
וְסַפִּֽיר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 It can’t be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire. [3]
17 לֹא־יַעַרְכֶ֣נָּה זָ֭הָב [3] Dechi
וּזְכוֹכִ֑ית [2] Etnachta
 
וּתְמ֖וּרָתָ֣הּ [2] VRevMug
כְּלִי־פָֽז׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 Gold and glass can’t equal it, neither will it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold. [3]
18 רָאמ֣וֹת וְ֭גָבִישׁ [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יִזָּכֵ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וּמֶ֥שֶׁךְ חָ֝כְמָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִפְּנִינִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 No mention will be made of coral or of crystal. Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies. [3]
19 לֹֽא־יַ֭עַרְכֶנָּה [3] Dechi
פִּטְדַת־כּ֑וּשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּכֶ֥תֶם טָ֝ה֗וֹר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א תְסֻלֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 19 The topaz of Ethiopia will not equal it, nor will it be valued with pure gold. [3]
20 וְֽ֭הַחָכְמָה [3] Dechi
מֵאַ֣יִן תָּב֑וֹא [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥י זֶ֝֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְק֣וֹם בִּינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Where then does wisdom come from? Where is the place of understanding? [3]
21 וְֽ֭נֶעֶלְמָה [3] Dechi
מֵעֵינֵ֣י כָל־חָ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וּמֵע֖וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
נִסְתָּֽרָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Seeing it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the birds of the sky. [3]
22 אֲבַדּ֣וֹן וָ֭מָוֶת [3] Dechi
אָ֣מְר֑וּ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝אָזְנֵ֗ינוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שָׁמַ֥עְנוּ שִׁמְעָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Destruction and Death say, ‘We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.’ [3]
23 אֱ֭לֹהִים [3] Dechi
הֵבִ֣ין דַּרְכָּ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝ה֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָדַ֥ע אֶת־מְקוֹמָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 “God understands its way, and he knows its place. [3]
24 כִּי־ה֭וּא [3] Dechi
לִקְצוֹת־הָאָ֣רֶץ יַבִּ֑יט [2] Etnachta
 
תַּ֖חַת כָּל־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
יִרְאֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole sky. [3]
25 לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָר֣וּחַ [3] VDechi
מִשְׁקָ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּכֵּ֥ן בְּמִדָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure. [3]
26 בַּעֲשֹׂת֣וֹ לַמָּטָ֣ר [3] VDechi
חֹ֑ק [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝דֶ֗רֶךְ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַחֲזִ֥יז קֹלֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder, [3]
27 אָ֣ז רָ֭אָהּ [3] Dechi
וַֽיְסַפְּרָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
הֱ֝כִינָ֗הּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְגַם־חֲקָרָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 then he saw it, and declared it. He established it, yes, and searched it out. [3]
28 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
לָֽאָדָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
הֵ֤ן יִרְאַ֣ת אֲ֭דֹנָי [3] Dechi
הִ֣יא חָכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְס֖וּר מֵרָ֣ע [2] VRevMug
בִּינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 4 3 2 28 To man he said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.’ ” ¶ [4]
