1 הֵן־תֹּחַלְתּ֥וֹ נִכְזָ֑בָה [2] Etnachta
 
הֲגַ֖ם אֶל־מַרְאָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
יֻטָֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain. Won’t one be cast down even at the sight of him? [2]
 
2 לֹֽא־אַ֭כְזָר [3] Dechi
כִּ֣י יְעוּרֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּמִ֥י ה֝֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְפָנַ֥י יִתְיַצָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 None is so fierce that he dare stir him up. Who then is he who can stand before me? [3]
3 מִ֣י הִ֭קְדִּימַנִי [3] Dechi
וַאֲשַׁלֵּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
תַּ֖חַת כָּל־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
לִי־הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Who has first given to me, that I should repay him? Everything under the heavens is mine. [3]
4 *לא־**לֽוֹ־אַחֲרִ֥ישׁ בַּדָּ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וּדְבַר־גְּ֝בוּר֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְחִ֣ין עֶרְכּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 12 “I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame. [2]

פְּנֵ֣י לְבוּשׁ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּכֶ֥פֶל רִ֝סְנ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִ֣י יָבֽוֹא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Who can strip off his outer garment? Who will come within his jaws? [3]
6 דַּלְתֵ֣י פָ֭נָיו [3] Dechi
מִ֣י פִתֵּ֑חַ [2] Etnachta
 
סְבִיב֖וֹת שִׁנָּ֣יו [2] VRevMug
אֵימָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror. [3]
7 גַּ֭אֲוָה [3] Dechi
אֲפִיקֵ֣י מָֽגִנִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta

חוֹתָ֥ם צָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 Strong scales are his pride, shut up together with a close seal. [3]

וְ֝ר֗וּחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־יָב֥וֹא בֵֽינֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. [3]
9 אִישׁ־בְּאָחִ֥יהוּ יְדֻבָּ֑קוּ [2] Etnachta
 
יִ֝תְלַכְּד֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יִתְפָּרָֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 17 They are joined to one another. They stick together, so that they can’t be pulled apart. [2]

וְ֝עֵינָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כְּעַפְעַפֵּי־שָֽׁחַר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 His sneezing flashes out light. His eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. [3]

לַפִּידִ֣ים יַהֲלֹ֑כוּ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּיד֥וֹדֵי אֵ֝֗שׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְמַלָּֽטוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 Out of his mouth go burning torches. Sparks of fire leap out. [3]

יֵצֵ֣א עָשָׁ֑ן [2] Etnachta
 
כְּד֖וּד נָפ֣וּחַ [2] VRevMug
וְאַגְמֹֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Out of his nostrils a smoke goes, as of a boiling pot over a fire of reeds. [3]

מִפִּ֥יו יֵצֵֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 His breath kindles coals. A flame goes out of his mouth. [3]

יָלִ֣ין עֹ֑ז [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝לְפָנָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תָּד֥וּץ דְּאָבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 There is strength in his neck. Terror dances before him. [3]
15 מַפְּלֵ֣י בְשָׂר֣וֹ [3] VDechi
דָבֵ֑קוּ [2] Etnachta
 
יָצ֥וּק עָ֝לָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together. They are firm on him. They can’t be moved. [3]
16 לִ֭בּוֹ [3] Dechi
יָצ֣וּק כְּמוֹ־אָ֑בֶן [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יָצ֗וּק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כְּפֶ֣לַח תַּחְתִּֽית׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 His heart is as firm as a stone, yes, firm as the lower millstone. [3]
17 מִ֭שֵּׂתוֹ [3] Dechi
יָג֣וּרוּ אֵלִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
מִ֝שְּׁבָרִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְחַטָּֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid. They retreat before his thrashing. [3]
18 מַשִּׂיגֵ֣הוּ חֶ֭רֶב [3] Dechi
בְּלִ֣י תָק֑וּם [2] Etnachta
 
חֲנִ֖ית מַסָּ֣ע [2] VRevMug
וְשִׁרְיָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 If one attacks him with the sword, it can’t prevail; nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft. [3]
19 יַחְשֹׁ֣ב לְתֶ֣בֶן [3] VDechi

לְעֵ֖ץ רִקָּב֣וֹן [2] VRevMug

2 3 2 27 He counts iron as straw; and bronze as rotten wood. [3]

נֶהְפְּכוּ־ל֥וֹ אַבְנֵי־קָֽלַע׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 28 The arrow can’t make him flee. Sling stones are like chaff to him. [2]
 
21 כְּ֭קַשׁ [3] Dechi
נֶחְשְׁב֣וּ תוֹתָ֑ח [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יִשְׂחַ֗ק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְרַ֣עַשׁ כִּידֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 Clubs are counted as stubble. He laughs at the rushing of the javelin. [3]

חַדּ֣וּדֵי חָ֑רֶשׂ [2] Etnachta
 
יִרְפַּ֖ד חָר֣וּץ [2] VRevMug
עֲלֵי־טִֽיט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 His undersides are like sharp potsherds, leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge. [3]

יָשִׂ֥ים כַּמֶּרְקָחָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 He makes the deep to boil like a pot. He makes the sea like a pot of ointment. [3]

יָאִ֣יר נָתִ֑יב [2] Etnachta
 
יַחְשֹׁ֖ב תְּה֣וֹם [2] VRevMug
לְשֵׂיבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 He makes a path shine after him. One would think the deep had white hair. [3]
25 אֵֽין־עַל־עָפָ֥ר מָשְׁל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

לִבְלִי־חָֽת׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 33 On earth there is not his equal, that is made without fear. [2]

מֶ֣לֶךְ עַל־כָּל־בְּנֵי־שָֽׁחַץ׃ [1] Silluq
